Outstanding

Located in the northeast of Cairo, it has a history of thousands of years. It has many scenic spots and historical sites such as the ancient castle, mosques, and the Khalili Traditional Crafts Market. It was listed in the World Heritage List in 1979. There are more than 1,000 mosques in Cairo, and the towering minarets of the mosques are straight into the clouds, so Cairo is also known as the "City of a Thousand Minarets". Located in the old city, the Khalili Market consists of thousands of shops distributed in dozens of streets and alleys, and many of the shops can be traced back to the 14th century. The narrow roads are lined with various jewelry, copper plates, stone carvings, leather goods and other traditional Egyptian handicrafts. Most tourists come here to buy tourist souvenirs. Shopping here is a special feeling, as if walking into the real version of "One Thousand and One Nights".
