Top-notch view! ✨ Just checked out and I have to rave about this amazing guesthouse! The location is incredible, only a five-minute walk to the beach. Evening strolls watching the sunset were so therapeutic. The room was clean and cozy, and the smart home features were super convenient to use. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the entire sea view perfectly, and waking up to the sun in the morning was pure bliss~ The owner even thoughtfully prepared local snacks and a travel guide. The value for money is absolutely fantastic, I'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station. Our room was spotless, and the staff, especially the ladies at the front desk, were so kind and patient. You can walk to Jiefangbei in just ten minutes, and the Cloud Eye observation deck and Yangtze River Cableway are right nearby too. Plus, the room offered an absolutely amazing view for night photography!

I had a wonderful stay at Somerset Chongqing and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. The room was spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean, with comfortable bedding and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The fully equipped kitchen and washing machine were especially convenient for longer trips. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the service throughout my stay exceeded my expectations. The location was excellent, making it easy to reach major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. Despite being in a convenient area, the hotel was quiet and peaceful, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Overall, Somerset Chongqing offers outstanding value for money with excellent facilities, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chongqing.

The owner is very warm and thoughtful, and the room is clean and tidy. (The picture was taken after we stayed, so it's a bit messy.) It has all the necessary appliances, including a fridge and a washing machine. The room is spacious, and the beds are also large, perfect for a family of six. We had a great experience! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Pros: First off, the bed was super comfy, which is the most important thing for me when staying at a hotel. Secondly, the room was really spacious, about 30 square meters, and quite clean. The whole room was also pretty and had a nice style. I stayed in two rooms. The first room was a free upgrade from the front desk; that room type had a more logically laid-out bathroom and a washing machine, and it was a bit larger than the bathroom in the second special offer king room. Also, the first room had more tables, so there was plenty of counter space, which I think is great for group travelers. The hotel's security was also good. Finally, the hotel is only 400m from the subway station and just over 500m from the bus stop, a mere three to four-minute walk, so transportation is quite convenient. Cons: The air conditioning in the first room wasn't facing the bed, and the cooling effect really wasn't very good. I'd get hot just by moving around a little in the room, which might not be ideal for people who are sensitive to heat. Secondly, the room's internet speed was very poor. The internet in the second special offer king room was slightly better, the AC was facing the bed, and the cooling effect was also better. Below are photos of the special offer king room; the only minor drawback in this room was the small window.

Located in the heart of Jiefangbei, this hotel offers incredibly convenient access to shopping and attractions, with Hongyadong and the pedestrian street just a short walk away. Unlike typical hotels, the apartment-style rooms are generously sized and feature a separate living room, a full set of kitchen appliances, and a washer-dryer, making them ideal for business travelers staying for several days. The public areas include a gym and a heated swimming pool, and the breakfast selection is comprehensive. The overall decor leans towards a simple, homey style, though some areas show signs of wear and tear. Service response times are average; if you're looking for a top-tier hotel service experience, you might want to consider other options. However, for travelers who value spacious living areas, the ability to cook simple meals, and self-service laundry, this is definitely worth considering.

Location: Situated inside Chongqing's landmark 'Grand Sail' building, directly above Raffles City and with direct metro access. Within walking distance to Chaotianmen, Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, and the pier. There are three hotels in the 'Sail' building: InterContinental Raffles City, Hotel Indigo, and Ascott. Ascott is wholly owned by CapitaLand, the developer of Raffles City, so its quality is undoubtedly top-notch. Facilities: Positioned as a serviced apartment, the public areas are compact yet comfortable and practical. The lobby offers complimentary tea and fresh flowers. A significant portion of the public space is dedicated to guests. The gym is well-equipped with at least two treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, as well as a full set of resistance machines. There's also a yoga room with river views, comparable to a small commercial gym. It provides hot/cold water, sanitizing wipes, towels, and even headphones with sterilized covers. The swimming pool was closed during our two-day stay, so we hope to check it out next time. Below the hotel is Raffles City's urban garden, leading directly to a river-view platform – a peaceful oasis amidst the bustle. Room: We were fortunate to be upgraded to a two-bedroom suite, so spacious it was astounding. It features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bathtub in the master. It includes a washer and dryer, perfect for families. The kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and range hood. A complete set of dishes and cookware is provided. The facilities are excellently maintained; the microwave and oven looked almost unused. The room offers a pillow menu and abundant storage space. Due to its unique location, Ascott's rooms offer either unbeatable river views, stunning city views, or like ours, views of both. Service: Special thanks to Miss Genny at the front desk, who was incredibly patient during our check-in, attentively asked about our needs, and efficiently arranged our room. We arrived early, intending only to store our luggage, but to our surprise, we received our room key immediately. We are very grateful. All hotel staff were exceptionally proactive, friendly, and helpful – carrying luggage, greeting us upon sight, making us feel right at home. The staff member on the ground floor was also wonderful, assisting with getting in and out of cars/moving luggage and patiently giving directions. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

An absolute beauty of an apartment. We were on the 21st floor of the building with views of both the Yangtze River as well as the tributary, so we could see both sides joining. We were less than a few minutes walking distance from Exit 9 of the Xiaoshizi Station so it was perfect for commute. We were also 5 minutes walk away from the Qiansimen Bridge for viewing of the Saturday night drone show and Hongya Cave. The room was so huge and absolutely spotless and the owners kept in constant contact with us to make sure everything was good. Overall lovely place, very convenient and would highly recommend!

Amazing apartment and in particular the view are incredible. Unfortunately the drone show was cancelled the day we came because of weather, but it was still worth it for views! Apartment was spacious and comfortable. Balcony and floor to ceiling windows too.

The location is fantastic, right above the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. It's also just about a 10-minute walk to Jiefangbei. The room looks pretty much identical to the photos on the booking page. The decor has a great vibe, especially the lighting design, which is really stylish with different lights complementing each other. There's a large floor-to-ceiling window with the bathtub right by it, but since there's another building opposite, you'll still need to draw the curtains when bathing. The owner is genuinely wonderful and very straightforward. On our first day, we noticed the showerhead was broken. We mentioned it to him the next day, and without asking any questions, he immediately replaced it with a new one for us. When we checked out, he even helped us with our luggage all the way to the subway station and gave us a packet of Chongqing hotpot seasoning as a farewell gift. We were very impressed. Overall, the room was very comfortable, though there's a little room for improvement regarding cleanliness and maintenance. Two of the lights had quite a bit of dust accumulated on them. Also, the bathtub's drain stopper didn't seal very well, so the water would slowly leak out when taking a bath. Aside from that, the overall experience was excellent. The room is beautiful, the location is convenient, and after a five-night stay, we were very satisfied.
