Rahul Kamal RajIt was a nice hotel to stay and we had a lovely balcony room which we cherished. The room has no daily room services so the room cleanliness is up to you. They have the required tools to keep it clean but after back to back days of 14/15 hours outside trying to make the most of your days in Japan you will most likely not think about cleaning your hotel room!
Staff are friendly and try their best to help.
They said there was no iron but then the next day I saw an iron set with the staff on the reception so not sure if there was a miscommunication with my request preciously, which was annoying but not the end of the world.
They do have free to use washing machines for your laundry just make sure you fully understand the instructions on the machine before using as I managed to make a normal wash into 9 hours of wash and dry and worrying about my clothes 😂😂 Oops!
If you are a first time tourist to Kyoto the location will make it very difficult for you to make the most of your day as you will be rushing back to make the last bus as the train lines are not amazing in this location. But if your looking for more chilled out peaceful local life there are lots of great local restaurants to attend and I would highly recommend take a look at 2254 hotel & lounge for a very aesthetically pleasing coffee and relax cafe work vibe. There are no bar or drink services in Dash Living Gojo but you have very close by a 7/11 and Lawsons.
Overall enjoyed the room and the atmosphere of the location but it’s probably not ideal if you are planning a very intense tourist heavy itinerary for Kyoto.

I don’t usually give bad reviews for hotel, you can check my Google reviews, mostly are 4-5 stars. This hotel’s location a bit away from man Kyoto centre at 7th bridge. Bus station just walking distance but if you come with heavy luggage, still need to take uber/DiDi from Kyoto station if you arrive Kyoto city by train . I actually booked a two full bed quadruple room for 5 nights but upon arrival was given a family room with one double bed. Since we are family with 4 adults and the hotel confirmation letter clearly stated two full beds so I tried to talk to the receptionist called Amar Singh. He just not interested to help and said the booking by trip.com via Rakuten is just family room. I contacted trip.com customer service and try to ask the price difference between the quadruple room and family room. He just refused to even let me know the price difference and keep saying that the quadruple room is not available, even I willing to change room in between, he said that cleaning fees will be applied if I keep changing the room. When I ask about the cleaning fees again he refused to respond. First time I encountered such bad hotel receptionist in my years of travel. Is a shame to Resi Stay’s name. Please note also there is no daily house keeping in this hotel even you stay 5 nights, is this hotel so under staffed??

With our family of five down the mountain near the hotel price is too expensive, we accidentally found this room type, room is large, the price is close to the people, suitable for us. To reach the front desk and room, you need to climb the stairs (may be a remodeled old building, but very Japanese style).
Since we drive by ourselves, we need to walk for3-5 minutes from the free parking space, but the luggage is large (next to Hankyu Busan Station), the handsome and beautiful staff are very dedicated to helping with the luggage to the room, and the Lobby puts a lot of Busan tourism information, (just happened to be summer festival, there are also Japanese nostalgic traditional gadgets for passengers.
Overall, the hotel is close to the residential house but the room is very large and you can see the mountain. The environment is very comfortable and quiet. The handsome and beautiful staff wrote the thank you card before leaving the store, which made us feel sweet.

The hotel's overall design is very comfortable. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are great, and there's a generous supply of towels. They also provide plenty of hangers, and the in-room washer and dryer are a real lifesaver for long trips. During my five-day stay, the room was cleaned once. The simple kitchen appliances are also excellent, and the room setup matches the website description perfectly. The bed is just the right firmness, and the air conditioning is very stable. My only minor complaints are that the cutlery wasn't perfectly clean, and some towels had stains. The biggest drawback is the lack of a small table for dining. However, the overall experience was very good. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store and supermarket, and transportation is very accessible. Definitely recommended!

Modest and clean. Entry by intercom code. The room has everything you need, except for robes. The downside is the window. Or rather, frosted glass instead of a window. It doesn't open. Although there would be nowhere to look anyway. And no time. We only slept in the room. Close to many attractions. And to the train station. Nice streets around. Very convenient to get to Fushimi Inari. Direct train 5 minutes

We stayed at Connect Inn Gion and overall felt the price and location were excellent. The area is very convenient and easy to walk around.
Do note that the building and room PIN codes are only sent after 3pm. For my booking (through Trip.com), I only received the PIN after I asked for it. They will also check what time you are arriving to collect the hotel tax.
The room is not squeaky clean, but for the price it is still acceptable. I did notice the bath tub water looked slightly cloudy compared to the water from the basin, which I noticed when using my own transparent cup.
Amenities like toothbrush and cotton pads are provided. There is also a small kitchenette with cups, plates, and basic utensils. The room I stayed in (302) had 3 beds and 1 futon, and the beds have rollers so you can combine them.
On the second day, my door did not auto-lock, but I called the property through the Trip.com app and it was resolved. There is also a free washing machine and dryer on the first floor, shared by all guests. It’s a bit old, but still usable.
Overall, the place is slightly run-down, but the great price and perfect location make up for it. We still enjoyed our stay.

The room was relatively clean, but it was only on the first day of stay. Because there was no service for many days afterwards. The location was quite inconvenient. I thought it would be more convenient around the residential area, but in fact, the surrounding area was like a maze, with few people and no big supermarkets. It was very far from the subway station, and it took about ten minutes to walk to the bus station and cross a big road, which was very inconvenient. When you check in, you will be sent to the hotel, which is actually a small building with several floors (they have many stores in Kyoto, but there is only one front desk, and one person can speak Chinese. I don’t know if it is from Taiwan). When you leave the store, you can walk to the subway with your big suitcase. Next time, I will stay in a place with convenient transportation. . I booked this place because I thought it had a big bed and could cook. This is true. It is very convenient to cook, and all the necessary pots and utensils are available. But it is not worth spending time on cooking.
In short, the room rate is so expensive, and the location is the first priority. I really don’t recommend it.

🛏️ Room Size:
I stayed here with my family of five, and the room was much more spacious than I expected. The layout was very well organized, with different areas clearly divided. Everything looked exactly like the pictures.
📍 Location:
The hotel is very close to the central Gion area, which is very convenient. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the train station, so not far at all. There are convenience stores along the way, which made everything even easier.
🧺 Amenities:
The amenities were very complete. There was a washing machine and dryer, and even laundry detergent was provided. Although I had to run the dryer twice for the clothes to be fully dry, it was still very convenient. The kitchen was fully equipped with cookware, dishes, and a kettle, even though I didn’t try using the stove.
⚠️ Recommendation:
There are two hotels with the same name located close to each other, so be careful not to go to the wrong one.
👃 Downside:
Since the hotel is next to a restaurant, when I entered the room there was a strong grilled fish smell coming in from the window. Even though the room had an air purifier, it didn’t really help with the smell.

This time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

The single room booked, the appliances are quite complete, the refrigerator is noisy, I sleep to unplug the power. Basically, people are at night in the hotel, not often they can meet people. Need to clean the magnet outside the door. The price of the room fluctuates greatly. Self-service check-in and check-out, operate according to the email prompt, if you don't understand, you can reply to the email and solve it.
Outside the school, there is no convenience store at the door.
There are shrines and Kyoto Imperial Palace on the side
