Overall Experience: My stay was defined by a feeling of tranquil escape. The hotel's greatest strength is its atmosphere. Being in a historic building tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighborhood just off the famous Nanjing Road created a perfect balance. I could easily walk to the buzz and shopping, but returned each time to a serene, garden-filled sanctuary. It felt more like a peaceful retreat than a standard city hotel. Service: The service was consistently attentive and polite. Staff were professional and quick to help with requests. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. While the service wasn't overly familiar, it was reliably good and matched the hotel's calm, understated style. I felt well taken care of. Facilities: The facilities are well curated but compact, focusing on quality over quantity.

First time staying at Grand Hyatt Jin Mao and I'm already a fan! It's perfectly located in the heart of Lujiazui, making transportation a breeze with no detours needed. The room was immaculately clean and well-organized, with all amenities provided. The views are expansive and unobstructed, offering a panoramic city skyline. Both the front desk and room service were excellent – friendly without being overbearing, which made me feel completely relaxed and at ease. It happened to be Chinese New Year, and while we were queuing to check in due to the crowd, the manager even gave my child a little 'Milk Dragon' toy as a gift – it was incredibly thoughtful! Even more delightful, we received a New Year's gift on the afternoon of our check-in. The cleaning staff on the 83rd floor were also so kind and had such a warm, comforting smile that even my four-year-old son said he wants to stay at this hotel again when we come to Shanghai next time! 🏨

Definitely deserves a five-star review! I'm particularly fond of hotels with a gym and breakfast buffet. Add in the practical laundry room, and it's simply perfect for long trips. It's super close to Nanjing Road on foot, and there's a variety of room types, so you can always find one that suits you.

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of great food options just across the street, and the riverside promenade is only a hundred meters away. The views from the hotel are fantastic, whether it's the river view or the city view. The service attitude was good, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I have to mention that due to the older facilities, the air conditioning failed on the first day, making the room incredibly hot, though it worked fine on the second day. Overall, the stay experience in the Zijin Building was quite satisfactory.

The environment and rooms are very comfortable. Dining on the 50th floor and a scenic elevator on the 45th floor. Facilities are complete, making fitness and swimming convenient, and the overall cleanliness is excellent. The service is incredibly attentive, catering to guests' needs, which is very thoughtful. Overall, highly recommended. There are also many foreign tourists. It's a top choice hotel for family trips and outings with friends. The hotel's location is very close to Lujiazui, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and Yu Garden, and transportation is very convenient. My trip to Shanghai was definitely worthwhile, largely thanks to the Novotel Shanghai Atlantis.

The Qilu Hotel is an established hotel, formerly known as Courtyard by Marriott. Although it no longer operates under the Marriott brand, the service is still excellent. I arrived quite late that day, and the hotel was nearly full, but the front desk staff proactively upgraded me to a suite. While the hotel facilities aren't the newest, the bedding is very comfortable. The best part is its prime location right next to Plaza 96, which boasts many highly-rated restaurants. It's also very close to Century Avenue Metro Station. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money and will be my top choice for future business trips to Shanghai.

The Radisson Blu New World in Shanghai was truly a memorable stay, perfectly located in the heart of the city near People’s Square and the vibrant Nanjing Road area, which made exploring incredibly convenient. The hotel itself feels grand yet welcoming, with spacious rooms, comfortable amenities, and stunning views over the Shanghai skyline that instantly set the tone for a special visit. One of the absolute highlights was visiting the iconic revolving restaurant, Epicure on 45. Dining there felt like an experience rather than just a meal — as the restaurant slowly rotated, we were treated to breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the city, watching Shanghai unfold from every angle. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and it created such a unique moment to enjoy both the cuisine and the scenery at the same time. Watching the city lights come alive during the evening was unforgettable, especially while enjoying the revolving view high above the skyline. Seeing the Shanghai light show from this vantage point added a magical touch — the illuminated buildings and vibrant energy of the city made the experience feel truly special and almost cinematic. Overall, the Radisson Blu New World offers a fantastic combination of location, comfort, and unique experiences. From attentive service to the unforgettable revolving restaurant and spectacular night views, it’s a hotel that turns a stay in Shanghai into something memorable and unique. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a central location with a touch of luxury and one-of-a-kind views.

The Shanghai SK Hotel is a long-standing luxury hotel located in Lujiazui. Its location is excellent, within walking distance of the Huangpu River and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The river view rooms offer superb views, with dazzling lights and a charming cityscape at night. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I particularly liked the bathroom layout. However, there's room for improvement regarding the check-in speed. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel's location is superb! It's only 300 meters from Madang Road Metro Station, right next to the popular Mengxi Market, and surrounded by CapitaLand Super Bowl and the two large shopping malls near Tianzifang, making dining and shopping a breeze. Although it's a 2018 hotel, it looks very new and has a stylish decor. It's been a while since I stayed at a Jinjiang hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great the Jinjiang Metropolo was for just over 300 yuan. The room was quite spacious, and they proactively upgraded me. The front desk service was excellent! The cleanliness was also spot on, and the shower even had a drying rack, which shows great attention to detail. There were also many birds in the lobby that the kids loved, and we even saw a bird that had just laid an egg.

JJane.^If you're going to Disneyland, you *have* to stay at this hotel! We originally booked a B&B near Disneyland because we had the early entry pass, and the owner provided rides both in the morning and at night. But B&Bs just aren't the same as hotels. After our Disney trip, we checked into this Novotel, a brand I've always loved. I've stayed at several Novotels in Suzhou before, near Jinji Lake and Taihu Lake. After a full day at Disneyland, I was completely wiped out, and the hotel thoughtfully arranged a late-night snack for us. The next day, we slept in and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast – my child and I had so much fun. After relaxing a bit, we headed to the 5th floor for a workout. The late 2 PM checkout time was perfect; we got all the rest we needed before heading back to Suzhou! I'll definitely be back!

Llulu333100% recommend!!! I always stay in this hotel whenever I come to Shanghai! It's in a great area of the city and right across the road from Changshu Lu subway station (which has two subway lines on). The hotel has many rooms and is spread out on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors of the building. Which means that there are incredible views of the city! I recommend paying a little extra and getting the room with a window, just for the view! The rooms are very clean with amazing bedding and pillows. You also have a personal TV, aircon, toiletries pack, bottle of water and slippers etc. There are water filter machines on each floor and usually free tea on the lobby floor. The staff are there 24 hours at the front desk, so you can check in anytime. The bathrooms are always really clean, and the cleaning ladies are always in out, making sure everything is nice. Bonus: The famous SYSTEM night club is also in the same building (around 3rd floor). So you can party and then go up to your room on the 19th floor!

SShanghai based coupleAs a couple who has lived in Shanghai together for almost 10 years, with one of us also Shanghainese, we have been to a lot of the best places in Shanghai, and some of the more recommended places in about 20 cities in the broader nearby area. Nothing in the city or within several hours of high-speed rail compares to a stay at Ritz-Carlton Pudong. In Asia and indeed the planet, this impeccable hotel experience stands as an iconic example of old-world elegance and service. In addition, it also offers a unique view of both some of the most modern and tallest buildings and the city’s famed Bund riverside, home to a variety of art deco architectural masterpieces. We had the incredible good fortune to start our honeymoon at the Ritz in Pudong, and this last stay was our last honeymoon treat. As always, it was a spectacular experience that we cannot recommend enough. The most extraordinary part of the stay really is the staff, they are all world class people who go above and beyond to make the Ritz-Carlton Pudong such an exceptional institution in one of the world’s leading cities. Sincere thanks to the whole team for making this happen, including Cherryl, who made reservation delightfully effortless, Chris who helped us to our room, and Joey and Ruby who helped in the evening. Special and heartfelt thanks to the whole team who make the Club Lounge experience world beating: Eddie and Junita, who both lead by example, have a deep passion for the details that create excellence, as well as being just the nicest people. They are both incredibly inspiring leaders and professionals. Claire is generally excellent there but also was phenomenally helpful to get a bag back when it was left behind, we really apricated that. Jeramy and Vivian also are amazing, as are Club Lounge’s chef’s Joe and Austin. Sherry is a real star, attentive, sharp and so helpful. Last but not least, Helen, who was the first person to greet us after we got married, and fittingly the last person to help us create personalised room key cards with our wedding photo on it, and most recently a special photo of family from our honeymoon. Those keycards are really cool keepsakes, but making them is not as simple as you might think: the image is etched into the key, not printed, so the original photo needs to be translated by AI into an image that the etching system is capable of delivering, which is really impressive. When I showed my mom who lives very far away, even she was impressed with Helen’s work. Ordinarily we prioritise new experiences over more of the same, regardless of how comfortable and nice it is. But regardless of how hard we try, we have not been able to figure out a better way to celebrate our biggest moments than a stay at the Ritz in Pudong.

GGuest UserStayed at the Banyan Tree on the Bund with my parents during Chinese New Year. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and patient. The rooms are genuinely spacious, and the scallion oil noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious – a must-order every morning! The hotel's location is also excellent, in North Bund. When choosing a hotel, I was debating whether to stay directly on the Bund, and now I'm so glad I didn't. It's truly too crowded there during peak tourist season. This location is much better, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. And here's the best part: we got upgraded to a Bund river-view room, and the view was absolutely unbeatable. The room rate felt entirely worth it. Next time I'm in Shanghai, Banyan Tree will definitely be my top choice.

GGuest UserDuring our stay, we did not identify any significant shortcomings in the hotel. Its prime location, where it is easily accessible on foot to the Bund, was a notable feature. The room conditions were excellent, with thorough cleaning and hygiene measures in place, and the facilities functioned properly. The hotel’s amenities, such as the laundry facilities, added practical value and were more than just marketing gimmicks. The staff at the front desk, Xiao Qin and Xiao Wu, demonstrated professionalism and were able to efficiently address guests’ needs. Overall, considering the balance of cost and quality, this hotel is a safe and reliable choice, with strong performance across all aspects.

QqllfyThe location is superb! From the room, you can directly overlook the Huangpu River and the Lujiazui 'Three-piece Suite' (iconic skyscrapers). A special thanks to the front desk lady who gave us a room on the 21st floor with an unbeatable view and even included breakfast for our child. The hotel definitely has some age to it, so the facilities are inevitably a bit old, but it was still kept clean and tidy. The double bed was a bit small but quite soft. The room was warm and comfortable, and we enjoyed the view while taking a bath. They even extended our check-out by an hour for free! It's just across Zhongshan East Road from the Bund, which gets really crowded. But after exploring, it was such a privilege to be able to walk just a few steps back to the hotel to rest. We also enjoyed an Italian meal in one of the century-old international buildings along the Bund and had afternoon tea in the sun – pure relaxation!

HHuaqunzidexiatianI had to change the dates for a room I booked for Chinese New Year, as my plans changed. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping coordinate with the hotel. Upon check-in, I met Agnes, whose professionalism and attentiveness made me feel so welcome. She handled both check-in and check-out swiftly and efficiently – truly professional. However, when we first arrived, the concierge was just standing by the door, completely ignoring us. They didn't even glance our way, let alone open the door. I was really put off by that. While I know a bit about the Andaz brand philosophy, it's still a service industry, and that felt a bit too 'free-spirited' for my liking. On a positive note, breakfast deserves praise. Hyatt's F&B is consistently excellent. A small detail that stood out was after I finished my coffee, the server proactively asked if I wanted a refill and brought it right over to my table. I felt seen and appreciated their service-minded approach. The housekeeping staff were also very thoughtful. When we returned to our room, it had just been cleaned. My child wanted to call for ice, and one of the staff members offered to arrange it for us, saying it would be delivered shortly. It was a really nice touch and definitely an example of service exceeding expectations. Leaving the hotel, I have to mention the concierge again. They actually opened the door for us with one hand while the other hand was busy scrolling on their phone.
