"As a four-star hotel, it largely meets the four-star standard. It's a high-traffic hotel, but the service in all aspects is quick, and they also offer personalized service. It's part of The Star group, so the hotel's location is integrated with The Star complex, and the buildings are all interconnected. I noted in advance that we were celebrating my child's birthday, and they prepared a greeting card and a toy bear, which made my child very happy. In the evening, my child had a cough and was a bit sick, throwing up on the bed. Housekeeping quickly brought new bedding without a single complaint or extra cleaning fee, and they were very caring towards my child. The only minor drawback might be the parking. It's a bit roundabout; you have to go to The Star's car park and follow the instructions carefully. However, the hotel sent parking instructions a day or two before check-in, which was very helpful."

Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef A Tranquil Whitsunday Island Resort with Access to The Great Barrier Reef Cherished for its seclusion and solitude – yet just a 30-minute ferry ride from the mainland – Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef invites you to relax amidst the breathtaking beauty of Queensland's Whitsunday Islands. Escape to a haven of peace and relaxation framed by whispering palms and a spectacular lagoon in shades of shimmering azure and turquoise. Daydream Island Resort is renowned as the best place to stay in the Whitsunday Islands – one of the world’s most dramatic and extraordinary destinations. “We acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of Ngaro people, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.”

"I was mostly happy with the resort. There were some things missing like more food options (only two restaurants) and small luxuries like a sauna for example. It’s also hard to rate the staff as you had some incredibly helpful staff and then some real depressing ones that were just rude. The only other thing that was a bit of a shock was that the beaches were just full of dead coral and no sand. I hadn’t been to one of the islands in the Whitsundays so I was surprised to see that. The photos of the resort did not show this so it would have been nice to know so it didn’t lead to disappointment. Some positives though is that the resort was beautifully designed and they offered a lot of free water activities like kayaking for example. The buffet breakfast was also really nice."

"Excellent! This is the closest hotel to the ocean in Airlie Beach, and I was lucky enough to get a sea view room. It felt like I was surrounded by the sea from 270 degrees. The room was large and bright, which really boosted my mood. It's also very close to the main street. I actually prefer this quiet spot over the hotels on the main street, which can be quite noisy."

"Nice looking resort but too noisy & enclosed environment.. Rooms were very small for price of room. We ended cancelling 2 extra nights because it was not accommodating for couples & staff weren't really interested. Too many children in pool area &was not at all relaxing environment. Quite disappointed as we have stayed at much nicer resorts for less money."

GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

XXiaomi2323Every time I visit the Gold Coast, I stay at the Marriott, and the breakfast is always great. However, the caps on the shampoo and other toiletries can be easily opened, which raises some safety concerns. After 6 PM, there are no staff or services at the pool, and it's not lit. For children with UV allergies who wish to swim in the evening, it's not possible. December is summer in Australia, so it gets dark late. I hope the hotel considers extending the pool's closing time, especially since guests are here for a holiday. Thank you.

GGuest UserI booked an apartment, but the service was surprisingly good. I was a bit worried based on previous reviews that apartment service might not be as great. Due to heavy rain and a flight delay in Melbourne, I didn't check in until almost midnight. I asked about adding breakfast, and the lady at check-in immediately registered me for a Langham membership, saying I could get 50% off breakfast using that membership number. I wasn't happy with the view from the first room. Later, a very beautiful Asian lady at the front desk had a colleague show me a new room, and I only switched once I was sure about it. Super awesome!

AAnonymous UserThis hotel boasts a fantastic location, right downstairs from the night market. Their beef noodles are a real highlight, providing comfort for Chinese palates. The hotel's convenient location also means it's just a 10-minute walk to the cruise terminal and very close to the waterfront promenade, which is great for a stroll. The hotel's own bar is super chill, with live music in the evenings – perfect for a drink and a chat.

GGuest UserThis hotel was conveniently located, making it a great base for sightseeing. Having a supermarket on the first floor and many dining options nearby was incredibly helpful during our stay. The tram station was also close by, making it easy to get around. The room was spacious, more than enough for a couple, which made our stay feel a bit luxurious. The view was good, and having a pool was a nice bonus. While I felt the cost performance was a bit high, there might be a range of prices depending on the room type and floor. On the other hand, the sound of traffic was a minor issue in our 16th-floor room (river-facing). Also, the air conditioning was a bit inconvenient as it could only be used in either the living room or the bedroom, requiring a switch. The washing machine worked fine, but I couldn't figure out how to use the gas stove, so a simple explanation would have been appreciated. It was also a slight disappointment that the indirect lighting (a larger lamp) couldn't be used. The reception staff were courteous, and it was a great help that they stored our luggage. They provided extra towels when requested. Overall, I think this is a highly satisfying hotel for those who prioritize location, room spaciousness, and cost performance.

MMyTrueFeelingsI don't understand why there's no room service. You have to actively contact them for services like towel changes. You also have to clean the room and empty the trash yourself. Plus, when checking in, they only accept credit cards for the deposit. I don't know why they refused cash; they didn't give any specific reason, just said they don't accept it. Luckily, I wasn't charged any inexplicable fines. After staying for three or four days, it felt pretty normal. No insects were seen, and the room was large. But there was just no service. I wonder if all hotels in Gold Coast are like this. The location, I think, is quite convenient. There's a subway station right downstairs, and within a 10-minute walk, there are many restaurants. It mainly depends on where you're going.
