If I were to rate the room alone, this guesthouse exceeded my expectations. Even though I booked a special offer room in the basement, there were absolutely no issues with ventilation or natural light. On the contrary, on a warm winter day, bathed in the soft glow of the lights, it felt like my own cozy little haven. If I visit again, I'd still choose this place. (The lady at the front desk was beautiful and kind-hearted, always willing to help and answered every question with a smile, which truly warmed my heart.) Now for the downsides: breakfast was served about a 10-minute walk from the guesthouse, which isn't a huge deal. However, the breakfast service was a world apart from the guesthouse's excellent service. The staff didn't even lift their heads when we entered or left, completely engrossed in their TV show. And they didn't provide Wi-Fi, which I consider a very basic service, right? Also, could you please avoid serving rotten fruit to guests? The breakfast quality was more about presentation than substance; it looked good for photos, but the taste left much to be desired.

We booked at Fengqi jiuting hotel on a family trip to Taiyuan and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is super convenient, on the edge of the bustling Zhong Lou Jie area, with so many food and dining options accessible on foot. The rooms are spacious, with heated floors (a godsend in winter), and nice amenities. It’s a beautiful hotel decked out with contemporary art and was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our trip that much easier. Would definitely recommend.

In the afternoon, ordering a pour-over coffee and settling into a soft sofa with a book, with sunlight streaming through the glass windows, it felt as if time itself had slowed down. This isn't just a hotel lobby; it's clearly the study of my dreams! 🛏️ Impeccable Details, Beyond Expectations The room's design continues the overall artistic and literary aesthetic. Wooden furniture, warm lighting, and thoughtfully displayed local characteristics and surrounding information reveal the owner's excellent taste. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a sound night's sleep. Even more surprisingly, the soundproofing in the room was exceptional. There was no need to worry about being disturbed by the sounds from the book bar or the street, truly achieving a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. 💖 Thoughtful Service, as Warm as Coming Home The front desk lady had a sweet smile and proactively introduced the hotel's features and nearby dining options during check-in. Any questions I had were answered promptly, which made me feel very much at ease. This stay completely exceeded my expectations. It's not just a place to rest your feet, but a healing space where one can slow down and enjoy a moment of tranquility. I highly recommend it to all book lovers, coffee enthusiasts, and friends who appreciate aesthetics! The next time I visit this city, this will definitely be my top choice.

A very pleasant stay at the Pipa Old Inn. A very historical building, though the place is equipped with all necessary modern amenities save for an elevator. Fortunately the staff very helpful assisted us with lugging up our heavy luggage to our room on the 3rd floor. Very beautifully decorated and strategically located in the heart of Datong Ancient City. Very pleasant and helpful staff who helped us plan and arrange our trips around Datong though sadly, they weren't very proficient in English (but that's common in China). Free breakfast was included in our stay and there was a decent spread though the menu didn't change much over our stay there save for one or two vegetable dishes being rotated. Overall definitely worth a return trip and stay in Datong Ancient City.

Environment: The hotel is located near Baima Temple Mountain, offering a beautiful, elegant, comfortable, and peaceful setting. Facilities: The hotel opened in May and is fully equipped. The in-room hot spring pool is very comfortable, with ample water flow, fast Wi-Fi, and a wide selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast is also quite varied. Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean, and the hot spring center is also spotless! Service: The entire hotel staff is friendly and helpful, and the service is excellent, both in the guest rooms and in the restaurant. The front desk staff is very welcoming and will personally explain the hotel facilities and escort them to your room. They also give a small gift upon check-out. My whole family is very satisfied with this hotel and will stay again! Fengyang Yitang Hot Spring 4-Hour Ticket (Includes a meal of your choice and unlimited fruit and drinks): The hot springs aren't large, but they are clean and provide ample leisure and entertainment. Food and drinks upstairs are all free.

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

This hotel is a courtyard-style hotel, and the room is as pictured. The room was fully equipped with a minibar and was very comfortable, perfectly worth the location and price. It's even better off during the off-season! 🤣 The fan was a little awkward, located directly above the bed (perhaps it was unique to our room), making it a bit uncomfortable to sleep with. The service was excellent. The front desk lady, Keke, was very attentive. If we were out for a long time that day, she would notice and ask if we wanted a foot bath. She also recommended the delicious jelly we had at the Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. It was truly delicious! Even better than Shunyi! In the evening, it was so relaxing to sit in the rocking chair in the courtyard, listen to some music, and have a drink.

Beautiful new hotel. Very friendly staff who offered two gifts to every room during the national holiday. Room felt spacious and luxurious and was sunny and mostly quiet during a very busy holiday period. Hotel restaurant was also delicious with good service. We ate there twice. We also had breakfast everyday of our stay. Very nice quality including lots of local ingredients and choices was fantastic! The hotel is so conveniently located in the ancient city. Walking distance to a really nice cafe with great coffee, lots of restaurants and all the main attractions including pop up laneway markets selling ancient treasures. Honestly, it’s a fantastic hotel and felt worth the price. Honestly, the Superior Twin Room is perfectly fine. The Deluxe rooms are just bigger than the Superior ones, but there's no other difference, and the extra space isn't really utilized. The hotel staff provided excellent service, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious (the braised pork, stir-fried pork slices, siu mai, and sweet and sour meatballs were all outstanding). I especially liked the buckwheat pillows in each room; they're perfect for someone like me who can't sleep on high pillows. The front desk gave everyone a beautiful souvenir map. Even when retrieving our bags, the bellhop quickly came over and hurried to assist, which shows that the Garden Hotel treats its employees well, as their professionalism and enthusiasm for service are exceptional. There are several popular internet-famous restaurants around the hotel. You can go down to get a number during meal times, then come back to the hotel and relax, and head back down when your number is called an hour or two later. No need to wait outside the hotel in the cold. I have to recommend a hidden gem: a fried skewer shop near the hotel. It's incredibly tasty, even the coating on the quail eggs is crispy. The spa area is a bit small, with only two scrubbing stations and five showers, but the scrubbing service, massage service, and other assisted bathing services are all excellent and reasonably priced. The staff scrub very diligently. My family member said that the guy ahead of him, after asking about the prices, immediately declared he wanted every service! 😂😂😂 I feel like if I come back in the future, I'll still choose the Garden Hotel.

For more than ten years, I will stay in this hotel every time I come to Jincheng. Not only because this hotel is close to the highway, but also because from the service to the room environment, from breakfast to the spa on the first floor, every aspect of the hotel makes people feel at home. The meticulous service at the hotel front desk left me with a lasting impression. Made a deep impression. In addition, the park scenery outside the hotel is also comfortable. I will still choose this hotel when passing through Jincheng in the future.
