"Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel: A Poetic Jiangnan Escape, Straight Out of Vincent Fang's Lyrics Amidst the misty rain of Xitang, where gondolas gently drift, lies Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel – a poetic haven favored by Vincent Fang, nestled in this ancient town that embodies all the tenderness of Jiangnan. It’s an artistic sanctuary hidden within the everyday hustle and bustle. When lyricist Vincent Fang stepped into Xitang, he chose Yuanzhu as his abode, weaving the misty allure and classic black-tiled, white-walled scenery of Jiangnan into his exquisitely crafted lyrics. He once said, “Architecture is the temperament of a city,” and Yuanzhu truly serves as Xitang's most distinctive and stylish emblem. It encapsulates the graceful charm of Jiangnan and radiates artistic vibrancy, allowing every guest to grasp the poetry hidden within Xitang's daily life. Hidden away in a core, secluded area of Xitang Ancient Town, adjacent to the Misty Rain Corridor, Yuanzhu offers an immediate escape from the clamor of the world. Yet, a turn of the head brings you back to embrace the lively atmosphere of the ancient town. The hotel was meticulously designed by a master landscape artist, who eschewed elaborate ornamentation, opting instead for minimalist 'blank space' to define its artistic texture. Pure white corridors gracefully stretch and curve, while arched doorways naturally exude a romantic ambiance. As light and shadow dance, they trace the gentle contours unique to Jiangnan, making every snapshot a stunning, atmospheric masterpiece – recreating the poetic backdrops Vincent Fang himself captured. Stepping inside, Eastern antiquity blends seamlessly with modern art. The white walls and dark tiles continue the rustic charm of Jiangnan water towns, while innovative designs like the stargazing terrace, sky garden, and Monet's Window infuse this antiquity with a unique romance. The serene tea room invites you to savor a cup of tea while watching rain patter on banana leaves outside the window. From the viewing terrace, you can admire a sky full of stars and listen to the ancient town's evening breeze whisper. The elegant guest rooms offer ultimate comfort and delicate touches, with private courtyards and tatami bathtubs – every detail thoughtfully designed to allow your body and mind to truly relax within the gentle embrace of Jiangnan. This is where Vincent Fang found his creative inspiration. The chivalrous tenderness of “Red Dust Inn” and the romantic wistfulness of “Waiting for the Misty Rain in Azure” (天青色等烟雨) seem to be palpable in every breath and corner of Yuanzhu. Staying here means sleeping in the rooms where a celebrated talent slept, seeing the landscapes he saw, walking on the bluestone paths, and wandering through the Misty Rain Corridor. It’s an immersive experience of Jiangnan water towns' spiritual beauty, a rendezvous with the ink-wash Jiangnan described in poetry. There's no need to travel far or seek distant lands. Come to Xitang Yuanzhu Hotel, live within the Jiangnan artistic conception penned by Vincent Fang. Amidst the white walls and dark tiles, in the interplay of light and shadow, encounter an unexpected poetry and beauty. Let time slow down, let your heart find peace, and unlock your own slow pace of life in Jiangnan. Come to Xitang, fulfill your appointment with Yuanzhu, meet Vincent Fang's poetic spirit, admire the misty rain of Jiangnan together, and quietly enjoy the tranquility of time."

Hotel near Shaoxing Downtown Area,Shaoxing
Located in the city center near Wolong Mountain, the Shaoxing Hotel (Shaoxing Fandian) is a beautiful garden-style hotel located only an eight-minute drive from the railway station. Guests of this Shaoxing hotel can enjoy local cuisine at the on-site restaurants. There are also eight conference halls and an international conference center for business travelers to organize events.

"I came to Shaoxing during the full bloom of the Chinaberry trees this time, and when it came to where to stay, there was no doubt – Shaoxing Hotel. I'd walked past it from Xixiaolu to Xiaohe Zhijie at the end of last year, and this Jiangnan-style garden hotel immediately went onto my 'must-stay' list. Shaoxing Hotel is beautiful both inside and out, with stunning scenery everywhere. All the staff are incredibly friendly and greet you warmly. On the day I checked in, the front desk even upgraded me to the second floor of Building 2, facing Fushan Park. The sanitary facilities are, needless to say, exceptionally clean, featuring a smart toilet and a multi-function shower with several massage jets. The sink area also has separate strong and weak voltage outlets for hair dryers and men's razors. The breakfast restaurant is downstairs. I passed it multiple times during the day and evening. It offers Shaoxing specialties, and the food is quite good. After breakfast, you can head to Fushan Park across the street for a panoramic view of the city. Shaoxing Hotel isn't just about its beautiful environment and excellent service; it also boasts a fantastic, central location in Shaoxing. You can walk to Xiaohe Zhijie, Cangqiao, and Lu Xun's former residence. I've compared this over my two visits to Shaoxing in the past six months and have already recommended it to several good friends."

"I rarely write hotel reviews, but my stay this time was truly amazing, an absolute steal, and definitely worth revisiting! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Zhejiang University and West Lake, easily accessible by a minimum fare taxi ride. 😀 Overall, I'm very satisfied with the room! It was spotless, and the bathroom had a wet/dry separation. It's equipped with voice control, automatic curtains, and a smart toilet, all easy to operate. The mini-fridge was also very practical. The entire room features smart controls; just say 'Xiao Du Xiao Du' to activate them, giving it a very high-tech feel. The hotel staff were attentive and friendly, and they even allowed me a late check-out. The room had great natural light, very bright and pleasant. It's definitely recommendable, and the breakfast quality was also quite good. Overall, a perfect experience!"

Hotel near Ningbo Railway Station/South Bus Station,Ningbo
Ningbo's Fortune Bond Hotel (Ningbo Fubang Dajiudian) is located near the railway station and Yuehu Scenic Area.In terms of relaxation, guests can have drinks at the lobby bar, go to the beauty salon or play a game of chess and poker. Such facilities are also on offer as the business center and the multifunctional hall.

"The hotel's location is super convenient if you're traveling by high-speed train. You literally can't miss it once you exit the North Square! 😂 Although the hotel is a bit older, it's generally clean and comfortable. The in-room amenities are also great, especially being able to order room service by scanning a QR code. The breakfast was excellent too, with a wide variety of delicious options. My only minor complaint is that the insect control needs improvement (there were quite a few small flies buzzing around the food in the salad area). Moon Lake Park is just a short walk away, making it incredibly easy to start a city walk from the hotel."

Hotel near Xisai Mountain Tourist Resort,Huzhou
The Giraffe Manor Hotel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Giraffe Manor Hotel offers a pleasant stay in Huzhou for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is located approximately 17km from Huzhou Railway Station and 65km from Jiaxing Nanhu Airport. With multiple attractions nearby including Huzhou Giraffe Manor, Huixin Valley · San Gui Tea Pavilion and Giraffe Manor Cute Pet Tribe, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"First, about the service. As soon as I parked the car and opened the door, there were so many mosquitoes, probably because it was mid-summer. The parking lot security guard was very enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage and handbags into the lobby in the scorching heat. 👍 Moving on to check-in, the staff were quite welcoming, providing a map and explaining the various attractions within the park. We took a shuttle bus to what they called an upgraded, detached room, which my daughter affectionately called a 'little wooden house.' Oh my goodness, cobwebs were everywhere! The room's pointed ceiling design meant I couldn't blame the cleaning staff for not reaching all the cobwebs. 🕸️ The facilities outside the door hadn't been washed clean by the rain. This hotel, despite being clearly popular, somehow exuded an air of desolation. Upon entering the room, the air conditioning was powerful, which was a plus. However, there was a persistent musty smell, like moldy AC and a moldy room, that stayed with us until checkout. It made me want to leave immediately. This odor was a stark contrast to the fresh bamboo forest outside. I can't imagine how anyone could stay for two nights; all I wanted to do was escape quickly. I must say, the air in the garden after the rain was absolutely wonderful. The only exception was the giraffe interaction area, which was incredibly smelly, to the point my daughter had to hold her nose. The bamboo forest cable car is highly recommended – definitely give it a try. As for the mini beach converted from a reservoir, I'm not sure what to say; it just felt like a filler. Another thing to mention is the locker rental at the beach entrance, which costs 30 for each use. The small radishes for feeding the giraffes were 8 tiny pieces (the staff said 10), probably equivalent to one large carrot, costing 30 a bag. Even coming from a first-tier city, these prices felt exorbitant. The bamboo forest cable car, even with a 40 coupon, still cost 168 for 2 adults and 1 child. Almost all activities inside require separate payment, and the prices are a bit on the high side. Breakfast was a bit noisy due to a live broadcast and everyone wanting to take pictures with the giraffes. Plus, with the windows open, it got very hot during the meal. For dinner, since it's far from the city, be careful when ordering from the restaurant. The boiled fish had a plastic taste, and the free-range chicken was undercooked and had a strong ***** smell. The prices weren't cheap either. Overall, children might only enjoy feeding the giraffes, but as an adult, I felt like I wouldn't come back. We checked out at 12 PM, but I wanted to rush out by 10 AM. If you're bothered by small insects or have high standards for cleanliness, I'd advise caution."

Hotel near Internatinal Business City,Yiwu
"The hotel is very new, and the bedding and everything was very clean, showing that the owner has invested a lot in it. The receptionist was very welcoming; I booked two rooms, and the receptionist upgraded one of them. The two rooms are opposite each other; the room facing the road has a great view, opposite Futian Elementary School, and there's a bit of traffic noise, but it's acceptable. The other room is opposite another hotel, so it's very quiet. Three meals a day are provided, and the food quality is very high! The taste is also very good and delicious. The dishes are rotated daily, and there's a freshly cooked noodle and pastry station for breakfast. Judging from the ingredients, the owner has a high budget for the meals. Since I ate all three meals at the hotel, I didn't have a chance to go out and try Yiwu cuisine, haha. The breakfast selection might be slightly less than a five-star hotel in terms of bread and pastries, but the hot dishes are just as good, and the fruit is very fresh. However, in the future, the management should provide guests with meal vouchers and have someone specifically collect them; otherwise, the costs would be quite high. The hotel is equipped with smart home systems (curtains/lights/TV), although sometimes the voice control for ”Wanyue” to turn on the lights might not be recognized. The cleanliness of the shower drain needs some attention. The shower water pressure is fine, and hot water is readily available. However, here are a few suggestions: - Hot drinks should not be placed in the glass area, but rather in the teacup area with handles. For example, putting scalding hot soy milk in a glass could be dangerous and cause burns. - A smoking area could be designated at the back door on the first floor. Smoking should be prohibited in the lobby and elevator areas, and no-smoking signs should be posted. - The lock on room 517 has a problem. When the door handle is pressed from the outside, the lock cylinder inside doesn't retract. - I don't know if this is only in my room, but the door opens towards the sink, and the doorstop protrudes slightly from the floor, making it easy for guests to step on it while washing their hands. If the door were mirrored so that it opens towards the shower area, and the doorstop was also placed on the shower side, it would be much better. - The plastic slippers provided had a strong plastic smell. I initially thought it was from the renovation, but it actually smelled like slippers. I suggest replacing them. - The ”Do Not Disturb” mode doesn't provide a notification. Providing a plastic ”Do Not Disturb” tag for guests to hang on the outside door would be helpful. I highly recommend this hotel! Finally, I wish the owner great success!"

Sunset at Xianshan Peninsula: It feels like an island with a single hotel. First day minibar experience: Plenty of Nongfu Spring water! First day welcome fruit: Peaches were hard. Haha. Service: The hotel has a shuttle bus to the high-speed rail station, which is great. It's about 50 meters straight out from the exit. The schedule is fixed, so you need to plan ahead. It's still more suitable for self-driving. Surroundings: It's very convenient to get to Pixiu Town. There are hot air balloons, go-karts, and water activities. There's also a beer museum to visit with many activities inside, the VR is quite good. However, it's inconvenient to go to other places. Suitable for a vacation if you don't want a crowded experience. Facilities: Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools are available. Cleanliness: Relatively clean. Special Feature: There's an instant noodle bar from 9 PM to 11:30 PM. It gets so crowded it makes you question your life choices.

I thought a hotel this big would have good hygiene, but I never expected the bed hygiene to be so terrible. It was truly disgusting. I booked two rooms, one for me and one for my parents. In my room, I found very dirty hair on the bed the night I checked in. By the next morning, my parents' pillows had moldy stains. Since we checked in quite late, past 10 PM, my parents were too tired to notice that night. When they woke up in the morning and saw the pillows, it was absolutely repulsive. I only saw it when I went to my parents' room at checkout. When we reported it to the housekeeper, they actually claimed it was hair dye fading... That's just ridiculous! We sleep like this at home all the time, and our hair doesn't fade. Plus, both pillows had it, and my dad has short, un-dyed hair. How could both pillows be like that? Initially, I was angry that the cleaning staff clearly hadn't done a good job and weren't paying attention. But then the housekeeper actually blamed it on our hair fading... I was truly speechless. In any case, I definitely will not be staying here again.

This guesthouse has so much character! The owner clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the design. The massive, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf instantly brings a sense of calm, which is especially welcome on a hot summer day. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, browse books, read, or simply have a moment of quiet reflection. Oh, and the owner even gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly comfortable.

The room is very clean, comfortable and hygienic. Children like it very much, but I feel it is more suitable for couples because the design of the bathroom is a bit inconvenient for parent-child families. There is also a bathroom on the first floor, but there is no shower. Parents of the opposite sex have to take a shower in advance. Other than that, it is almost full marks. The service is very, very, very good. The brothers are very handsome and the sisters are also very beautiful. They have a strong sense of service. The housekeeper is responsive to every request. A care package is provided every day, which is a canvas cosmetic bag that can be taken away. The toiletries are lelabo, and there are enough drinks. The restaurant is not big, so make reservations in advance. The food is very delicate and the taste is good. Afternoon tea and hot spring bath are also provided. It is very, very, very comfortable!

Excellent value! This was by far the most comfortable stay I've had on a trip this year. The room itself was spacious and bright, and the beds in the twin room were a comfortable 1.5 meters wide. Breakfast was also very generous; in addition to standard hotel offerings, they had local Jiaxing specialties like *zongzi* (sticky rice dumplings) and *shaomai* (dumplings), so there was plenty of choice. I also checked out the hotel's gym and the kids' castle on the first floor, and both were pretty good. The best value, though, was booking the Anfu Lu cruise through the hotel. It follows the same route as Emperor Qianlong, and a professional guide led the entire tour. Everyone on board even got snacks. The whole journey was incredibly relaxing and pleasant, and I learned a lot of interesting things in a great atmosphere. A big thank you to the gentleman at the front desk – he was handsome and his service was excellent. He even went out of his way to heat something up for me late at night. Next time I visit Jiaxing, I'll definitely choose the Four Points by Sheraton again!

I wanted to take my kids on a summer vacation but didn't want anything too strenuous, so I chose this Club Med. I heard it's an all-inclusive resort perfect for younger children, though maybe not so much for those over 10. I booked a two-night hotel pre-sale package through Ctrip (including breakfast and tickets to either Xixi Wetland or Lingshan Fantasy), with a 400 RMB surcharge for weekend bookings. The hotel called the day before to confirm and said they'd add my WeChat for future communication, but they never did. They also didn't mention adding a butler service during check-in, which is something other hotels do better. The hotel looks quite new and spacious, with most activities located on the basement level. For a hotel with a higher price point that prides itself on all-inclusive services, I was surprised to find that many entertainment options and parent-child activities required additional fees, and they weren't cheap either. This was a bit disappointing. On Friday and Saturday evenings, there's a mini-show, and on Sunday evening, there's a Chashan Qing performance. The shows make the evenings pass quickly. During the day, we mainly rested in the room and occasionally visited the mini water park, where the kids had fun in the water. The indoor children's playground is quite small and suitable for very young children; older kids won't find it very engaging. On the first day, we didn't want to go out for dinner, so we chose the hotel's Chinese restaurant for lunch. The dishes were mediocre, the portions were small, and the prices were not cheap. For dinner, we opted for the hotel buffet. The weekend prices were higher than weekdays, costing 328 RMB per adult and 218 RMB per child over 4 years old. The prices were a bit high. For the buffet, children are charged by age, not height. What can a child under 120cm really eat? The variety of dishes was also quite limited. For example, there was only one spicy flavor of crayfish, and the other dishes were just so-so. The mark-up felt excessive. For adults and children who don't eat sashimi and such, the value for money was very low. Since my child can't eat raw food, they pretty much only had some vermicelli soup at the buffet. The evening amusement park games were also very perfunctory; I didn't feel like playing at all. When I finally found a craft activity and sat down to try it, a staff member immediately came over with a POS machine, ready to charge me. 😂

We had an amazing stay here. The apartment is light, spacious and airy. The bed is huge and really comfortable and the shower and bathroom are also lovely. Having a kitchen with utensils, hob and microwave meant we could cook in the evenings which is a huge plus. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was varied and tasty with some western options, fresh noodles and omelettes, fresh fruits and salads, bread, cheese, pastries and amazing coffee and fresh juices. We used the pool several times (remember your swim caps!) and it was large and really nice for a swim. The location is great. It's close to the West Lake area. We walked there and back which was about 45mins each way, but it's also very easy to jump in a Didi to venture further around to see the Tiger Springs or Nine Creeks and Misty Forest areas which are really beautiful. The staff were very helpful. We arrived a little early and they checked us in straight away and very promptly answered all my questions. We asked for a late check-out and we were generously accommodated which was an added bonus. Oh - and the lobby and hotel smell amazing too! We will 100% stay here again when we return to Hanghzhou and would highly recommend it to other travellers if you'd like some luxury alongside home comforts.
