"Good location. Arrived after midnight, no issue night reception was really helpful. Breakfast was well stocked. Cooked buffet was hot and plentiful. Only issues were the broken air conditioning over the hotels June on record. There was a fan on, curtains pulled to try and keep room as cool as possible. One of the lifts was broken too."

"This is such a lovely resort. The estate is simply magnificent and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The room (especially the toilet) was a little bit dated but there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. We got to dine at the main restaurant and the food quality was excellent. Breakfast and lunch were equally impressive with plenty of options for the kids. As for amenities, we got to use the indoor pool and spa and they were both nice and clean. The building was surrounded by impressive gardens and golf course so you will always get a good view just looking out of the windows. The hotel is surrounded by historic market towns which are always worth visiting. I would definitely come back again as I enjoyed the place so much."

"The service was fantastic. However, i felt the room lacked the main requirement, sockets are required near the bed to allow for charging and the lighting near the desk, wardrobe mirror should be brighter. The heating was not switched on, and I couldnt find a socket nearby, to plug it in. Luckily I travel with an extension lead and a blanket. I would stay there again as I actually enjoyed my stay and the staff were very accomodating. So i could not fault there service at all."

"For an overnight stop the hotel suited us just fine and the price suited our budget just fine. Taking the above 'measures' one at a time: Location: this really depends on the purpose of a travellers trip. For us it was ideal, just ia mere 10km south of where we need to be by 09.00 the next morning. Having said that, a description that it is located in a Motorway service area, at the most remote position would have helped. Our arrival was considerably hampered by direction from the A1M, some construction works, poor lighting and road markings around the parking area. It is worth noting that a car parking fee applies. Cleanliness: No complaints on this score. The bathroom arrangements are showing their age, but everything worked just fine. Servie: Check-in was straightforward with a very pleasant receptionist doing his best to make our arrival flawless. Facilities: The lack of hotel parking caught ne off-guard. You need to park in the public parking area of the Service Area. See also my comment on the bathrooms above."

"We arrived late at the hotel but there was still plenty of parking. It is in a nice secluded area so you’ve no noise from surrounding area. We were checked in with warm welcome. The room was nice, curtains could’ve been upgraded as they had holes in and some had fallen off the rings on the rail. Our last day we decided to have breakfast which was a nice little spread and good choice of hot breakfast items, yogurt and pastries too which were all very nice! Would recommend the stay again to anyone wanting to visit!"

"This was a perfect hotel for a weekend getaway, close to London in beautiful surroundings. The Superior King room was modern, spacious and comfortable, and the hotel retains some charming historic features. We loved the outside grounds with plenty of areas to sit in the sun or shade and watch the roaming peacocks. Staff were quite attentive and the food and drinks were good. Definitely thinking of coming back again in the future."

Brilliant hotel for business trips, with clean rooms, wonderfully comfortable beds and great showers. The staff are super polite and welcoming. The hotel carpark is small with space for around 20 cars but there is use of the municiple car park next to it. It is within a 10-12 minute walk to supermarkets, restuarants and takeaways. Overall a great stay.

We booked at The Ridings for 1 night 29th August. The location is stunning and very quiet surroundings,  however, we were a little disappointed that the Hotel is under going refurbishment and we were not informed.  Upon entering the hotel there was no carpet on the floors and was just bare but the floors were in bad condition and also the ceiling was taken down exposing all the pipework metal tubing and wires.  It just did not give the luxury feel.  In the room it was clean and tidy but the carpet was straw carpet and did not have a nice feel following a shower.  It took an age to figure out how the lights worked in the room.  There was no telephone and the radio was a transistor radio.  We booked bed and breakfast but when we went to the restaurant we were told that we had not paid and as we were not on their list.  I obviously explained that we did pay and they contacted  reception who told them we had paid.  Unfortunately, we felt a little embarrassed as there were other people behind us.  It was not until we read the leaflet inside the room that told us it was under refurbishment.  I do feel this is something that should be pointed out in the very beginning. Overall, the location is amazing, staff friendly, breakfast was good but the hotel i feel let it down.  After all it was cheap for the night.

The room was clean and comfortably warm throughout our stay, and the stay was excellent value for money. What truly made the experience stand out was the service; every member of the front desk staff we encountered was kind, welcoming, and always smiling. They were genuinely helpful with every request we had. While the location and amenities are fairly basic/average, the exceptional hospitality and cleanliness make this a solid choice for couples looking for a reliable stay.

Hotel was nice great location for the purpose of our stay and ticked a lot of boxes. Girl on the front desk Evie was super friendly and helpful and seemed to be always there if needed. Breakfast nice rooms clean and did the job and the bar was nice and comfy, the only downside was when you went outside for a drink you had to then walk all the way round through reception to get back to the bar which was a Pain but not then end of the world.

Good place to stay near Stansted Airport as there’s a bus across the road from the hotel. Trip.com said there would be 1 double bed and 1 single bed in an accessible room. However we went back to reception and asked and they changed our room with a double bed and single bed. There was stains on the floor but didn’t bother us

We arrived at the Ramada Hotel by taxi from Heathrow Airport. It took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. I expected it to take longer since it's on the east and west sides of London, but it was closer than I thought. The hotel's location next to a service station meant we didn't have to worry about meals. It was great to have Burger King, Subway, Taco Bell, KFC, and two supermarkets nearby. Check-in was very quick, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. I liked that the shower stall was separate and the bathroom was quite spacious. Stansted Airport is about a 10-minute drive away, and if you call an Uber just before you leave, you can get a reasonable price! This accommodation was satisfying in all aspects. Haha.

I really loved the garden at this hotel. It was beautiful, peaceful, and felt very natural and relaxing. The room was okay, although there was a slight musty smell, and there was no refrigerator in the room. The hotel is very close to the Harry Potter Studio, and it is within walking distance from the hotel, which was very convenient. The reception staff and restaurant staff were lovely and friendly. However, the late-night bar staff did not seem very welcoming, even though the bar still had another 30 minutes before closing. They also did not inform us from the beginning that cocktails and coffee were no longer available to order, which would have saved me time looking through those sections of the menu. In the end, I decided not to order anything. Overall, I liked the hotel much more than I disliked it, and I had a pleasant stay.

This hotel is very conveniently located for access to and from the M1 (which is why I chose it). The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for location is because if you fancy taking a stroll into the nearby village, perhaps for a pub meal and a drink, then the footpath is non- existent in places and you need to be careful in the dark. But that's not the hotel's fault and as the hotel is clearly set up for travelling business customers, I suppose most people would just drive a couple of minutes to the local pubs (which were more lively than the hotel bar). Aside from that, everything else was fine. The staff were all helpful and polite and the breakfast was delicious and filling. And the room was fine too. Overall, this hotel worked well for me on this occasion and I am happy to recommend it

Stayed at this hotel quite a few times before, it’s a very convenient location, within walking distance to the main railway station & with many amenities nearby. The Warner Bros Studios Harry Potter Tour is just a short drive away. The hotel is very clean, comfortable & organized. The staff are always welcoming & happy to help. Breakfast offers a nice selection of food items, good quality products & very pleasant restaurant area. Would definitely recommend staying here.
