The interior of the building, which is more than 300 years old, has been recently renovated. It is a building connected to the Celtic Manor Resort, and the facilities are also shared. I just often hear the sound of the toilet flushing, but if you don't mind, there's really no problem. The breakfast is good, and there are 7 restaurants to choose from in the manor. The products and prices are worth recommending!
I stayed at this hotel recently for a conference at the ICC, and I must say this place was great in terms of cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. I will be staying here again for future trips!
The walk to the ICC could be better as you have to cross many traffic lights, but that's for the council to fix!
Loved the breakfast by the way!
It’s surprisingly good for the price I paid for it. Excellent service, bright and spacious lobby, room was also spacious. The breakfast was also splendid. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The facilities are relatively old but function OK. The drainage of the shower tub was somehow blocked. I expected to use the swimming pool but was so disappointed that it was out of service for my four-day stay.
You'll have to park at Friar's mall car park, which is a short five to ten minute walk to the hotel. The parking has good rates, especially the overnight 6am to 6pm deal @£1.50. For me, this worked out at around £3.50 on average depending on what time you enter and leave the car park. You'll be looking to pay about £4 plus the hours added to the overnight charge. Good treadmill in the small gym, dumbbells, cycle machine, and one other machine. Great breakfast!
After watching the hot air balloon from Bristol, I found this resort on the way to Cardiff. The room and breakfast are great! The price of the hotel can live in such a five-star hotel really worth it! The only dissatisfaction is that it takes 15 pounds a night to park overnight.
The room and bathroom are medium in size and clean, the windows can be opened, the bed is comfortable, and the wifi is good. There is a hair dryer, a hanger, no shampoo, bath liquid, TV. 5 rooms share a kitchen, stove, microwave, refrigerator, dining table, large and small pots, etc., there is a lidl supermarket nearby, life is convenient. Close to the city center, 10 minutes walk. A bit far from Newport Railway Station, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel.
Always spotlessly clean. Reception always very nice. Rooms have all you need. Comfortable and Clean.
USB sockets, reading lights and lamps, Samsung 32” Smart TV compatible with with mobile phones, tablets and pc/lap. Desk with desk lamp and luggage storage along with open wardrobe and bedside drawers/unit. Large full size mirror. The Queen size bed is comfortable and has plenty of pillows/bedding.
Bathroom is one of the best I have seen In hotels with modern and clean fittings. Subway tiling with chrome finish fittings, large bath with waterfall shower and over bath shower attachment for when just your hair needs washing. Huge fitted mirror with lighting and ample space for your toiletries etc. Towel rail and door hooks all complete the better than most bathroom. Towels and toiletries/hand wash/kettle and mugs, glasses, quality hangers and the attention to details all complete a good value room. The hotel flows on to the pub/ restaurant.
Being Green King the food is all good. An extensive food and drinks menu. Easy and user friendly app allows ordering from your table for food and drinks. Overall the convenience of both hotel and bar with good service and good value a highly recommendable place to stay whether your here for business, leisure or just a night or two r&r The New Inn @ Green King always hits the mark.
If you have breakfast with room it's served at the restaurant with hot & cold options Continental and Full English. Both perfectly presented and quality products.
Parking for guests is free and input of car registration avoids any after stay fees.

GGuest UserMe and my partner had a lovely stay at this hotel! The room was immaculate! The bed was very comfy! The bathroom was very spacious, air-con. We had a complimentary breakfast which was lovely! The only thing is that the reception area had a foul smell almost like sewerage and we also noticed this in the bathroom when the toilet lid was left open.

GGuest UserTen minutes walk from the train station to the apartment, the apartment is located in an office building, just go to need the front desk to help open the door. The reception was aunt, very friendly and warm. After checking in and entering the room, the room is two bedrooms and one living room, you can cook, the cooking utensils are very complete, but because I lived for a day, I didn't experience it. The experience is very good and feels at home.

GGuest UserPaper thin walls and a ceiling that bounces when the people above walk around. 2am fire alarm which the receptionist didn’t seem to know what to do. Doors slamming and people talking in the main corridor through the night. Fair to say that I had very little sleep and will never ever stay here again.
AAndrewVery friendly and helpful reception staff. Comfortable bed and spacious room for the price. The Beefeater restaurant told me they couldn’t accept walk in customers because they were running out of food. This was only 6pm! Very frustrating. I had to order delivery.
