The quality of the hotel is very high. It's conveniently located near the train station and a 15 minute walk to the old town. The spa is really nice, clean, and spacious. The family spa is a nice touch. Rooms are very large, comfortable beds, with a tub. The only drawback is breakfast. The restaurant is too small to accommodate guests. It's odd that it's common in Japan to have large hotels, with many guests, include breakfast, and then build a tiny restaurant. Makes no sense. Options are limited and food is the same every day. I wouldn't recommend it, but there's so few options nearby or in the town in general, that you basically have to eat there. Just go before 8 AM. Otherwise, the hotel is really nice.

I really love Takayama; I've been coming here for three consecutive winter holidays, and it's even more beautiful when it snows. Before, I always stayed near Takayama Station, but this time, since I wasn't planning on visiting the old town or morning market, I chose this hotel with more of a resort feel. The environment is nice, and getting around is actually quite convenient with a scheduled shuttle bus. Taxis to the arcade and supermarket aren't far either. I tried both the buffet and the kaiseki dinner, and both were very good. The hot springs were also great. The hotel is quite large for the area, so it has all the amenities, and the price is reasonable. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I come to Takayama.

Stayed at Suimekan Gero Onsen and had a wonderful experience. The staff, especially Adajisan, was incredibly kind, helpful, and gave great recommendations. The hotel offers 3 different onsen baths, very relaxing and well maintained. There is also a game area, making the stay fun and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gero Onsen!

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Takayama Station, just a straight walk from the convenience store. It's fully equipped, and you can pick up toiletries on the first floor. The environment is comfortable, and the service is attentive. Breakfast is rich and varied, and there are free desserts in the evening. I've already recommended it to friends who are planning to visit. I loved it so much, I even extended my stay by another night! 😄

We are here for their onsen (can opt for private or public) and because of its strategic location from the train station and bus station. There are alot of food options within short walking distance, around 10-15 min walk to reach miyagawa river and enjoy their morning market. The hotel provides odens and new year noodle because we spent new year during our stays. They put extra care for kids amenities with a cute slippers and handkerchief. We enjoy our stay in Takayam

The hotel was perfect with complimentary freeflow liquor including a variety of sake served every evening. The bathing pool could be cleaner though. Otherwise, everything is good.

A very satisfying accommodation experience. The staff are of high quality and the service is in place. Although the hotel has a certain history, it is well maintained in all aspects and the environment is clean and hygienic. The breakfast is rich in variety and delicious, and the room design is reasonable. I will recommend it to friends and stay here again next time.

The facilities have a more European-American style, simple, clean, and brightly colored. There's an outdoor onsen, which, though not huge, is perfectly fine when it's not too crowded. The lounge is also nice, a great spot to rest your feet when it's really cold. Transportation: Extremely convenient. It's only a ten-minute walk to the station, even with luggage, which is incredibly important. You can reach Takayama Jinya and Hie Shrine within 25 minutes. Surrounding Amenities: There's a large 7-Eleven convenience store just a ten-minute walk away. And right downstairs is the best Hida beef restaurant in Takayama – it was so easy to grab a ticket early. Cleanliness: Decent, didn't look dirty. Service: I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk staff – they spoke the best English of any hotel we encountered on our Nagoya trip. Communication was so smooth and pleasant. My wife forgot her onsen password, and the front desk quickly resolved it. I can't imagine how cold it would have been if the front desk didn't speak English and she had to go down in her onsen attire on such a chilly day.

The hotel is very close to Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku. After the tour, you can rest and soak in the hot springs in the hotel, which is very convenient! The Hida beef kaiseki cuisine is very rich and delicious! The room price includes breakfast and dinner, which is very cost-effective! The hotel service is very good, and there are English-speaking staff introducing hotel facilities and services, etc.! Kaiseki breakfast and dinner have separate rooms for dining; The restaurant staff will explain each food, and their work attitude is serious and enthusiastic. I like the little boy in the restaurant very much! I will choose to stay again in the future and recommend it to friends in Hong Kong!
