"This is a great hotel, located between the station and the fishing port. It's a bit of a walk to either, but definitely manageable. The rooms are quite spacious, and the staff are very friendly. I went during the New Year's holiday, and they even had free sweet sake in the lobby! LOL"

"Excellent Stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba. The hotel was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed and offered a relaxing outdoor onsen after a long day of sightseeing. The location is convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and shopping areas. The hotel facilities, including the onsen, were excellent and provided a perfect way to unwind. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in Japan. We highly recommend Hotel Mars Garden Wood Gotemba and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Note to forget, view of Mount Fuji from the hotel made our stay even more memorable."

"You may be able to see the beautiful city view. The nearest convenience store is a 7-8 minute walk away. The top floor is a large bathing area and the floor is a bit slippery, so the elderly should be careful when walking. The door of the outdoor hot spring can be easily locked. The outdoor hot spring is dark and the stones can easily scratch your hands. The most praiseworthy thing is the private hot spring, which has a beautiful and high-end environment. "

"Right next to Shizuoka Station, the transportation is super convenient. The room size is acceptable; I was able to open my 28-inch suitcase. Being in the northeast corner of the hotel, I personally think it’s the best spot to see Mount Fuji from, though whether you actually see it largely depends on the weather :) There's a happy hour on the first floor and the breakfast is small but excellent. If you stay for multiple nights and don't request housekeeping, you can get a gift instead of new towels. The soundproofing within the room itself was decent, but you could hear the Shinkansen and even traffic lights from outside. The curtains also let in light from the sides. The front desk staff spoke fluent English."

"I've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜"

"It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there. Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere"

"Excellent hotel. Beautiful, clean, traditional. The onsen was beautiful with a view of their garden. The water was heated perfectly with immaculately clean water. All amenities were offered when you stepped out into the changing room, ear buds, lotion, hair perfume, shampoo and conditioner. As you exit to your room there are two massage chairs to enjoy. The room we stayed in was perfect, It had a view of the bay, a big balcony, and three separate rooms. I was traveling with my son and this afforded me a private room to change my clothes and be separated while we slept. Freshly pressed kimonos were provided for the Onsen or/and to attend breakfast in. Now I'll talk about the highlight.! The breakfast buffet and dinner were included in the very reasonable price. The breakfast was extensive with fish, eggs,yogurt, homemade delicious jams, salads, fresh fruit, natto, sausages, rolls, bread, pastries, a coffee machine with choice of lattes, cappuccino, etc, a juice machine, fresh milk from famous Tanna dairy, and more! It was amazing! Dinner was also delicious, changing every night with selections such as broiled fish set, fried chicken set, steak set, all were seasoned well and perfectly cooked. All came with soup, rice, main entree and dessert. The staff were welcoming, kind and caring, friendly. The manager even sent me a special note about a piece of art I was curious about. Highly, highly recommend this Ryokan. I never wanted to leave. It's just outside of Atami, in the hills, beautiful location. Go, relax, nurture yourself, I did 😊🥰"

"한국인 리뷰 위치 : jr누마즈역에서 남문으로 나온 후 3번 버스정류장에서 버스 탑승 후 2~30분 이동 / 시내여행 선호하시는 분들한텐 힘들겠지만 그래도 뚜벅이가 이 정도 퀄리티 숙소를 묵는다? 괜찮다 봅니다 버스는 710엔 들고 미니패스 사용가능 가격: 온천을 전세로 한 타임 (40분) 사용할 수 있다는 메리트와 일본 전통스타일 룸 거의 료칸인데 1박에 20만원대이니 2인 여행객들에게 추천드려요 완전 만족 서비스 : 이래도 되나 싶을정도로.. 너무 친절해서 몸둘바를 모름ㅜㅜ 오후에 계셨던 젊은 남자직원분 진짜 너무 감사했습니다 이번 여행에서 가장 기억에 남았어요 (ありがとうございました。💕) 기타: 이 곳 바로 옆은 산이기 때문에 벌레가 나올 수 있습니다. 이건 당연히 이해하고 가셔야합니다. 저희는 306호를 배정받았는데 도마뱀인가 도롱뇽같은 친구랑 지네가 나왔는데 프론트에 전화로 말씀드리니 (벌레는 일본어로 무시 , 방 번호말하고 헤야니 무시가 아리마스 ) 바로 오셔서 잡아주시고 정말 되려 미안할정도로 사과와 함께 훌륭한 대처를 해주셨습니다. 방에서 문제가 생겨도 나몰라라하는 숙소가 많은데 여기는 계속 놀라셨겠다며 죄송하다며 수차례 말씀하시더라고요 저희는 정말 괜찮았고 따뜻한 대처에 감사했습니다. 온천은 가능하면 이른저녁시간은 비추합니다 시골이라 주변식당이 일찍 닫습니다..ㅜㅜ 그래도 전세 1타임 (1인당 온천사용료 150인가 200엔)에 아침, 밤으로 다같이 사용할 수 있기 때문에 온천 많이 이용하세요! 조식으로는 생선구이, 젓갈, 낫또, 수란, 샐러드 등등이 나오고 여기 자체가 외국인 관광객보다도 일본분들이 휴가로 오시는 것 같더라고요 진짜 찐 일본 가정식을 체험할 수 있었습니다! 사진이 전부 다 업로드실패네요🥲"
