The Jeju Sunshine Hotel boasts an excellent location, just about 2 kilometers from Jeju International Airport, a quick ten-minute taxi ride away. Within walking distance, you'll find convenience stores, restaurants, and duty-free shops like Lotte and Shilla, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient.
The rooms are spacious and tidy, and after a renovation in 2019, the facilities feel quite new. The central air conditioning maintains a comfortable temperature, and the soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a good night's sleep on soft bedding. A thoughtful touch is the inclusion of universal power outlets, so no adapter is needed, and toiletries are provided (though you'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste).
The front desk offers Chinese-speaking staff, making communication smooth. They also provide free luggage storage and can arrange airport shuttle service. The breakfast spread is extensive, featuring Chinese, Western, and Korean dishes, and the hotel has well-equipped facilities like a gym and sauna.
Overall, it offers great value for money. While the decor leans towards a business style, the attentive service and convenient location make it an excellent choice for families or shoppers visiting Jeju Island.

At check-in it was very welcoming
Unfortunately Staffs working there weren't very informative Couldn't give me answers about making local phone calls from room even i was willing to pay if they had to, I end up using taxi drivers phone to confirm reservations.
And asked to check out late till 4 or 5pm but they had to charge full amount and when I was there to check out, front staff asked 10000 Korean Won more, $7-$10 would not make much difference but than why i feel i was overcharged and that made me feel unpleasant
I expected good food here but it wasn't fascinaingt or any special.
Worst of all when I was off from taxi or getting taxi, men working(doormen) outside would not call taxi for me nor help handling my bags or luggage
Very different from most of other hotel in Korea
Am I going to use any of Silla Hotel service?
More likely never will happen

Hotel Whistlelark is honestly a good hotel for a comfortable stay and is definitely value for money.Has everything you need.Coin Laundry, friendly staff that speaks english, good location and relatively modern rooms.Located near Ocean Suites like a 5 minute walk (is way cheaper than Ocean Suites) which is popular pickup point for nearly all tours in Jeju.Free refill of water on the 2nd floor also.
One complaint I have:The laundry is 24 hours but the light gets switched off after 10pm so that's something that could be fixed. Was working in semi darkness....
Other than that had an amazing stay and would pick here again if I came to Jeju!
The hotel is located in a resort, a bit far from the city center, but you can get here by bus route 255. The Giant's Causeway is relatively close, about a 90 RMB taxi ride one way. My ground-floor room has a 'small garden,' but I felt it lacked privacy, as people on the higher floors opposite seemed able to see into my room. The front desk service was average. Shopping downstairs is convenient, but the brand selection isn't extensive, and the resort's restaurants are quite pricey.

This was our second stay at this hotel after we decided to prolong our Jeju roundtrip and come to Seogwipo again. First of all this small city has so much charm and a lot to offer for slow pace travellers like us. The hotel staff is very friendly and correct. The room is very clean and complete for a microwave meal and easy trash disposal system. The location is perfect for nice hikes or exploring other parts of the island as the bus system here is very well connected. Shower pressure is great, and hot. The bed is comfortable, though too narrow for Westerners. Wifi only let's you connect to 3 devices, which needs some coordination if you are using more than that.

Exceeded expectations! This was the best value for money I found for a two-night stay in Jeju. Other places at a similar price point had tiny rooms, but this one had a great location and a fantastic view from a much more spacious room. I'd definitely stay here again. Being right outside the door for shopping and food was super convenient.
My stay at Jeju Shinhwa Hotel this time was absolutely perfect. The overall ambiance is elegant and grand, and the hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. The rooms are spotless and spacious, with soft, comfortable bedding that ensured a very restful sleep. The location is superb, nestled within the Shinhwa Resort, right next to the theme park, water park, and duty-free shop. It's a one-stop-shop for dining, entertainment, and shopping, making everything incredibly convenient. The hotel staff are thoughtful and attentive, friendly and polite, and communication was smooth. Both check-in and check-out processes were quick and efficient. The facilities are excellent, with a beautiful outdoor pool and lush green surroundings, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The dining options are abundant, offering a wide variety of authentic Korean specialty dishes that were absolutely delicious. This hotel is perfect for couples, friends, or families, offering fantastic value for money and an exceptional stay. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Jeju.

This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip. The front desk offered me a free membership, which allowed me to check in early instead of waiting until 3 PM. The location is fantastic, with a convenience store nearby and Shilla Duty Free just a few minutes' walk away. Olive Young is also in the vicinity. The room was clean, tidy, and well-arranged.

The location is excellent, with very convenient transportation, making it easy to get anywhere. However, if you book a one-day tour through Trip.com that includes pick-up service, this hotel's location isn't covered. 😂 The room is small, but it doesn't feel cramped and is quite clean. If you don't need housekeeping, you have to bring used towels to the front desk to exchange them and pick up drinking water there. If you do want housekeeping, you need to leave your room card at the front desk before 11 AM. I would definitely stay here again next time.

Finding the right place to stay can truly shape your entire trip, and Grabel Hotel exceeded every expectation.
From the moment we arrived, the location stood out as both convenient and affordable, making it an easy choice for exploring Jeju without stretching the budget. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean, and the staff consistently went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service. It made the whole experience feel welcoming and effortless.
One of the things we really appreciated was the ample parking space, which made coming and going stress-free. Although we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the infinity pool, it is a beautiful feature on the top floor with stunning ocean views. It is definitely something we are looking forward to trying next time.
Traveling with kids can be challenging, but Grabel Hotel made it easy with their toddler-friendly rooms and thoughtful family-oriented setup. The small garden on the third floor was a lovely bonus, perfect for letting the kids unwind and play safely.
The hotel also offers a great selection of food, and it is clear they host a variety of events, including weddings, which adds to the lively yet refined atmosphere.
Overall, this stay checked all the boxes: comfortable, family-friendly, well-maintained, and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend Grabel Hotel and will gladly book again on our next trip to Jeju.

Great
GGuest UserFirst, my initial thoughts: I was prepared for a 'prison-like' room before checking in, but staying here, I actually found the room small but cozy! Coupled with other advantages, the actual experience exceeded my expectations.
Now, for the pros:
1. **Rich Community Facilities:** Besides the accommodation buildings, there's a standalone coffee shop, a standalone small bar (received a free beer voucher upon check-in), a GS25 convenience store (the female staff member was very friendly), a gift shop (at the front desk), and a breakfast/lunch restaurant (you can get a discount if you purchase breakfast at the front desk a day in advance).
2. **Excellent Location for Olle Trail 1:** It's very convenient for those doing Olle Trail Route 1. You can walk to Gwangchigi Beach, the starting point of Route 1, in about 10 minutes.
3. **Friendly Staff:** All the service staff were very friendly and could communicate well in English.
4. **Spacious Bathroom:** Although the room itself was small, the bathroom and shower area were quite spacious.
5. **Free Airport Shuttle:** This was an incredibly valuable service. I took the 10:30 AM shuttle to the airport. No reservation was needed, the bus arrived on time, and it took about an hour to reach the airport.
Areas for improvement:
1. **Lack of Hooks in Room:** My room had no hooks, except for two small ones in the toilet. I suggest adding one more in the main room without taking up extra space (I saw some other smaller room types had them).
2. **Soap Dispenser Design:** The hand soap dispenser had a short pump, which was inconvenient to use when my hands were dirty. A longer nozzle would be much better.
Overall, it was a very good stay. I would consider staying here again if I plan to do other Olle trails on the Seongsan side.

Great
DDuoduobuduoVI have to say, it was seeing pictures of this hotel's infinity pool online that immediately made me book a flight to Jeju Island. The weather was perfect, and it was totally worth the trip. From the doorman to the front desk, the service was excellent and very welcoming. We stored our luggage and kept bothering the bellboys to get things out of our bags and change clothes, but the Korean staff enthusiastically helped us every time without any hint of impatience. Check-in wasn't until 3 PM, and we arrived at 11 AM. We went out for some BCH fried chicken, and when we came back before 2 PM, the front desk let us check into our room early. We didn't book a sea view because we spent all our time at the pool. We swam during the day and went back at night – the pool lighting at night was absolutely stunning. We only got back to the room at 10 PM and just went straight to sleep, which saved us some money. Although the room wasn't huge, it was very quiet, and the bedding was super comfortable and clean; I slept really well. The transportation is extremely convenient; the 600 bus is 4500 KRW per person, point-to-point to and from the airport. A taxi to the Jusangjeolli Cliff was also very convenient, only 6000 KRW. Most of the guests were Korean, not many Chinese. The brunch right outside the hotel is absolutely delicious. The hotel's boardwalk is also beautiful, leading straight down to a beach.
GGuest UserExcellent! The owner speaks fluent English, the little dog is super cute, breakfast is delicious, and the place is clean and well-equipped. It was absolutely fantastic! I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserThis place is honestly not as bad as the reviews make it seem. The room is your average Korean hostel room (no curtains tho). The bathroom is a bit messy but overall not dirty. The location is very convenient if you are planning to explore the island by bus.
For the very little price paid, I would stay at this hostel again!

GGuest UserA few things to update from the most recent review: the 7-11 next door is gone/being renovated; you cannot cook inside of your room even though it has a burner, etc. and not all rooms have a washing machine (photos a bit misleading). However, there is a laundry machine available for use, you just need your own detergent.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The cook-your-own breakfast was a great deal for us as a family. The roof top is amazing, 360 views of the sea and mountains, truly stunning.

MmofeadThe room itself was decent, and you could see the ocean right from it. The location is good, just about a ten-minute taxi ride from Aewol-eup. There's a CU convenience store downstairs, which is really handy for buying things. There's also a Starbucks about 100-200 meters away on foot. The sea view from downstairs is pretty nice too. The only downside is that the room facilities are a bit old; the sliding door to the toilet was a bit broken and sometimes wouldn't open.
777babeeeUnexpectedly good! Shilla was too expensive, so I switched to Josun. The doorman was super enthusiastic. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a fresh orange fragrance. The lobby is exquisite and grand.
There were hardly any Chinese tourists, mostly Koreans. The room was much better than expected, super clean and French-inspired.
And the pool is heated, so you can swim all year round!
Overall, a super unexpected experience, though the hotel is a bit of a distance from the main road.
