Paya Bunga Hotel is located smackingly next to centre of everything..The bus station,Pasar Kedai Payang and also UTC,making it super convenient for travellers and holiday-makers.Kudos to the hotel’s staff who are so utterly Sopan and Friendly.Thanks a lot for upgrading my room to a bigger one.This hotel is a good choice for those looking for a good variety of breakfast too..and prefer local food.

Slow and steady 30-40 min duk kt lobby. Staff plak mcm intern ,girl yg putih2 tu. Tertukar bilik, tertukar nama booking, tertukar bilangan blk, connecting x available.dah 30minit urusan trace nama x settle2. Dhla kepala pening lpas naik bot, pastu dah settle, bg bilik jauh2 plak dah, ank kecik2 blk jauh, baik takpayah la sy ckp tukarkan la satu blk lagi tu jd credit point boleh guna utk dlm hotel, x boleh plak, last skali dpt la blk connecting. Yg settle lelaki pakai spek, tp ya ampunn customer servis out dengan muka serabut dia, muka nk marah, muka x de eye contact ngn customer. I had an enjoyable stay at Redang Island Resort. The location is beautiful with pristine beaches and ocean views, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay pleasant. The food was okay, though the breakfast buffet could use more variety and freshness. Activities like snorkeling, diving, and island-hopping were excellent, and the beach itself is perfect for relaxing. Overall, it’s a great choice for a peaceful getaway, and with better breakfast options, it would be even better.
We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon.
By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before.
The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach.
The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy.
I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining.

The hotel's overall operational atmosphere is far inferior to competitors like Laguna or Rainbow Hotel. Other hotels arrange recreational activities and special programs in the evenings, offering guests plenty of nighttime entertainment. This hotel, however, has no activities or arrangements whatsoever in the evening, making the overall atmosphere dull and quiet. The operational fun and guest experience are significantly lacking.
The room was spacious and clean, and there's a great snorkeling spot right next to the hotel. I especially appreciated the restaurant; the food was excellent, and every dish was exceptional. It's definitely one of the best restaurants I've tried during my years of traveling in Southeast Asia. Finally, a special thank you to Paul for taking care of every detail. I'll definitely go back if I have the chance.
I had a very pleasant stay at Laguna with my husband & toddler.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the check-in process was smooth. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding that made for a good rest. The facilities, such as the pool and dining, were well-kept and enjoyable.
The breakfast, lunch & dinner buffet have a delicious variety of options. I enjoyed every foods served. Location was convenient, close to shops and near to the Long Beach. The beach is clean and crystal clear.
I enjoyed the snorkelling trip in the hotel package. The whole journey was memorable and adventure.
Overall, it was a great experience with just a few small areas for improvement, such as queuing and waiting period during the lunch/dinner.
I would definitely consider staying here again.
We had an unexpectedly beautiful 4D3N stay at Redang Divers Resort. Initially hesitant due to the 3.2 rating, we booked as it was the only available option, but it turned out to be the best decision.From the warm yet respectful service by Wei to meeting the humble owners Adrian and his wife, everything felt genuine and comfortable. The food was outstanding (we truly miss the food!) honestly among the best we had in Redang.The beachfront view was amazing, white sand and turquoise sea right in front of our room. Simple, raw island vibes, clean rooms, and a truly heartfelt experience for our family.
A small note: the toilet flooring could use an upgrade, but we understand refurbishment is already underway with the new management.Not a “luxury” resort, but definitely 5-star in heart, service, and overall experience.We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making us feel at home!
I took my family here during the April spring break in Chengdu. The private beach is truly beautiful, a typical 'jellyfish sea' with crystal clear water. Just a few hundred meters from the shore, you'll find a turtle spot – you can even paddle there yourself. There were so many turtles! When someone was feeding them, we saw nearly ten at once. The hotel also offers a lot of entertainment, most of which is free, including tennis and pickleball.
There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, in the restaurant, and even for the turtle explanations, so communication in Chinese was not an issue. The head chef and the turtle researcher are both of Chinese descent; we often chatted with them, and sometimes they even helped us with translations.
The hotel service is incredibly thoughtful, let me tell you about two things. First, while my wife was swimming in Turtle Bay, the lanyard of her waterproof phone pouch broke. The water was probably almost 10 meters deep. She only realized it after returning to shore, and her mood just plummeted. When the staff at the dive center found out, they immediately contacted a diver to search for it. Luckily, they found it, and the phone was perfectly fine and usable inside the pouch – she was absolutely thrilled.
The other thing is, our return journey was very early, we had to leave at 6 AM. The front desk thoughtfully and proactively packed us a generous breakfast to take with us for the road.

AAnonymous UserSecond time here hehe, and it still feels just as special. Perfect escape from the busy city life. Everything about it is so calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The atmosphere really helps you slow down and just enjoy the moment.
Nights can get quite dark around the resort, but honestly it adds to the whole serene vibe and wasn’t an issue for me at all. Overall, a lovely place to unwind and recharge. Would definitely come back again.

GGuest UserThe room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems.
