The front desk staff were warm and friendly, and the environment was really good. The only downside was that the room was a bit small.

Due to heavy rain on the west coast, I went back to the town and stayed for one night. It was clean. Every room on the first floor has a back door to the garden. Breakfast is included. Bread, jam, coffee and tea are included. The whole meal seems to be 21.5 yuan. , Feng Jian by people

Location within walking distance to many restaurants. Outside view great. The room kinda small, had fridge and an electric kettle. The shower had very strong water pressure — a bit intense. Door lock not working, pillow not clean. The parking lot is across the street; I arrived in the evening and it took me a couple of rounds to find it. As a short stopover, it was okay, but not best value.

The bedding was clean and comfortable! There were plenty of restrooms, which is great for families with multiple people – no waiting around! The common areas were also spotless. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent, just a 10-15 minute ride to the city center. It's truly fantastic! The price was also reasonable ☺️ A superb hotel!

The hotel is not very old so it's quite fresh and clean, it's in a great spot and staff are pleasant enough. The pool is very small and got busy but you're staying in kaikoura - get in the sea. Beds are comfortable. We didn't have time to try out the restaurant or bar as we went into town (a favourite of ours on the south island). Parking was easy - we parked on the street outside.

The location is very good: close to Intercity Station, the city bus station, and shopping places. There is also a KFC and a small gift shop downstairs, and there is a small mall next to the hotel with a lot of food. It is a little far from three supermarkets, and it takes 15-20 minutes to walk there~ Room: Very clean, the multi-layer towel rack in the bathroom is heated, and towels and small clothes will be dry the next day when placed on it, which is very convenient. Service: There are Chinese service staff at the front desk, so it is very convenient for tourists with average English~ Note: The front desk is not open 24 hours. If you arrive or leave too early or too late, notify the hotel in advance, and the hotel will tell you how to check in and get the card by yourself~ If you are not good at English, you can ask Ctrip to help you contact~

It is quite close to Mt.Hutt. The room is on the second floor and the first floor is a bar. It is very convenient to eat, but it is because of the bar that there will be some sound at night, but it will not have much impact.

The room was very clean, and the facilities were standard for a four or five-star hotel, with a separate shower and toilet. The bed was also quite spacious. The breakfast was reasonably rich, and you could order omelets separately. The hotel is extremely close to the terminal; you can reach it right after exiting. Outside, there's a car rental company parking lot, which is very convenient if you're renting a car because you can park there and avoid paying hotel parking fees. Within a 10-minute walk, there's a commercial complex with restaurants and a supermarket. It's a very convenient place to stay when arriving in Christchurch.

Very easy to find the hotel, and which is co-located with a restaurant. When we arrived on 9pm, there were still customers dining there, so it is convenient. Room is clean and provides everything needed. A good choice.

GGuest UserA decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.

GGuest UserI was a bit disappointed. I was expecting this to be a 5 star place, but there were a lot of things that were definitely not 5 stars. The robes were grey and didn't cover bigger people. One of them had pilling all over it, I didn't want to even wear it. The bathroom door squeaked loudly, so if one person got up to the toilet in the middle of the night, it woke the other person up. There were instructions on how to use the spa bath, but not on how to put the plug in. It didn't just plug in normally. We weren't able to use it on our first night which was very frustrating as it was one of our main attractions. I rang housekeeping the next day. Someone came and had a look and said that you had to turn a know on the side of the spa, how would anyone know that? The lock on the door to outside was broken and a small slide lock had been put on. Why not fix the main lock? I used the toilets to the side of the library and when I washed my hands, the tap was all loose and wobbled round. All these things are little but show that the lodge needs to have things fixed or updated. For $300 per night, you expect the best. The worse thing was on our last morning, we got to breakfast about 8:45, the restaurant closes at 9:30 am. There was continental and scrambled eggs and bacon. At about 9:00 am they stopped bringing out anymore bread to toast. No more croissants, eggs or bacon were brought out. There were about 6 tables with guests and everyone kept going up and checking, but they didn't refill. People were saying, they must have run out of food! But for some reason the waiter kept lifting the lids to the egg and bacon to see what was in there, but of course there was nothing as he hadn't refilled it and he was the only waiter!! I was really disappointed and wouldn't recommend it, unless you are getting a really good discount.

GGuest UserI am writing to formally express my profound disappointment and dissatisfaction with the service provided by the Crowne Plaza hotel in Christchurch, New Zealand. My booking was for 5 rooms to accommodate a group of 9 family and friends, including young children and elderly members. Understanding that our group had specific needs, I proactively contacted the hotel in advance via email to politely request the possibility of an early check-in. The hotel’s response was both disappointing and unreasonable. They stated that an early check-in was not possible and suggested that if we wanted rooms available upon our arrival, we should book and pay for an additional night for the previous day. This response felt exploitative, implying that rooms were available but only for an additional charge, rather than as a gesture of goodwill or customer care. Accepting this, we adjusted our plans and arrived at the hotel after 3:00 PM, the official check-in time. To our great frustration, none of our five rooms were ready. The first room was only made available at 3:30 PM, and the last room was not provided until 4:30 PM—a full 90 minutes after the guaranteed check-in time. This caused significant inconvenience, discomfort, and stress for our group, especially given the presence of young children and elderly individuals who were tired after travel. As a loyal customer of the IHG brand who has stayed at their properties across Asia, I have always trusted their standards of hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience at the Crowne Plaza Christchurch represents the worst service I have ever encountered from IHG. The combination of an unaccommodating and profit-driven response to a reasonable request, followed by a failure to meet even the basic check-in commitment, reflects poorly on both the hotel and Trip.com as the booking agent.

Ccici086Traveling with friends, we booked four rooms. They were clean, hygienic, and quite new. The lobby is small, and we didn't book breakfast so I can't comment on that. The rooms are a bit like a domestic Atour or All Seasons hotel, which is perfectly fine. The price was also very reasonable, especially since we used a room voucher, making it a great deal.

2202065****A decent, clean hotel with an excellent central location, making shopping and dining very convenient. It's directly opposite the cathedral, which is currently undergoing renovation. The 2nd-floor restaurant is also great, offering a more Western-style breakfast.

JJinniudazuoIt's strange that the actual hotel name is completely different from what's listed on Trip.com! It's across from the botanical garden, a garden-style hotel with a top-notch environment. The roses blooming there are even more beautiful than those in the botanical garden. The room is comfortable, and the bed is incredibly cozy. Breakfast is quite rich. However, the bathroom facilities are a bit outdated. The bathtub has no non-slip mat or handrails, making it easy to slip and quite dangerous. The shower stall is so narrow that even as an Asian person, I found it cramped; I can't imagine how a European or American person would manage to turn around in it.

GGuest UserWhen I arrived I was told I had an upstairs unit. Unfortunately I had a lot of luggage. Changing to a lower level was not possible. But an offer was made to assist me with the luggage.  I drove towards the unit and there is no available parking close by.  I drove back to the front desk and explained my problem. They told me that they could move a car to allow me to park. One of the staff followed me back and took care of finding a space and also delivering a cone so that I could hold the space when I went out to dinner. He also came back to help with the luggage.  So great staff! But the lack of parking (because they let people leave their cars there when they fly) would make me reconsider staying again. I’d booked an Economy studio and was given an Economy two bedroom. Unit was a blend of older and newer features. Bathroom was updated but shower stall looked older and not as clean. Good water pressure.  Ordered breakfast at the on-site Restaurant. The waffles with berry compote & lemon curd was a large portion but very tasty. Great coffee.
