Situated in a great location in the heart of the city in Downtown Houston with convenient access to the MetroLine Rail which is less than a 5 mins walking distance (Red line from Main Street and Green and Purple lines from Rusk Street). I was able to move around the city fairly easy. For hotel facilities, I liked that there was a gym with free access, which included TV entertainment and a free-access laundry room with both washing machines and tumble dryers. There were drinking water fountains on each floor corridor for guests to refill on water and keep hydrated instead of requesting for more water bottles in their rooms. There were also vending machines available if preferred. I was a little underwhelmed with the appearance of my first room. The weren't clean from the outside which affected my view. The bathroom mirrors were stained and the room space felt small even as a single guest. There was no mini fridge which I've found to be a hotel room standard and it would've been practical for storing cool drinks and snacks especially in the Texas summer heat. However, there was manually controlled air conditioning which helped. There was also no safe in my room for me to store my valuables and important travel documents which I found puzzling. Hence I requested a room change which the staff assisted me with. The second room was much better as it was a larger space which included an additional arm chair along with a small kitchenette (mini fridge, microwave and a wash-hand basin). The room was cleaner, however there was still no safe. When I enquired about it, I learnt that only some of the rooms have safes which is odd to not to be a feature in all the rooms, so I shared this feedback. Overall, the room decor was simplistic and suited towards business trip/travellers which I didn't mind. However, the rooms could be refurbished to look more modern and minimalist. The staff were okay. They were helpful in assisting me with a room change when I wasn't happy but I didn't feel like I received exceptional customer service from any particular individual. Upon arriving, I didn't feel properly welcomed and informed about the facilities and a few staff members came across a little nonchalant in addressing queries and issues. For example, I requested a mini fridge to be added to my first room on day 1 which was meant to arrive the same day but instead arrived at my new room the following day when I made the room request showing a slow response time for when I actually needed it. Also my checkout process was very quick and I was informed that my deposit would return to my original payment card within 5 working days which did not happen and I had to follow up with manager who said he would email me to check in on the progress of the refund but I never received any further communication. I had to raise the issue with card provider who told me the the payment was marked as a pending refundable deposit and should the hotel not confirm my refund, then it would automatically be refunded back to my account after 30 days. It was extremely frustrating having to wait an entire month to receive a deposit, when I stayed in other hotels during my time in Texas whereby the deposit refund was instant upon me checking out. Needless to say that my overall experience was okay but could've been better, especially if I was staying there for the entirety of my trip. A few days staying there was enough and I would rate it a 3* rather than a 4* hotel realistically.

Great hotel - friendly staff, plenty of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and food types (including vegetarian), good conference facilities. Location not great being downtown but things to do in the vicinity. Rooms are a decent size and you get a TV in the bathroom mirror!

We booked a handicap room for my husband who is wheelchair bound, but the layout of the room and bathroom were not easily accessible. We were excited to learn that they had a free shuttle from the hotel to the airport and that we could leave our personal vehicle there for $10 per day vs. at the airport which was much more expensive. The shuttle was there on time and was wheelchair accessible which was fantastic! Upon our return, however, the shuttle was NOT wheelchair accessible, and the hotel denied having a wheelchair accessible shuttle (I guess we dreamed our departure). I ended up having to leave my disabled husband at the airport, ride in a dilapidated van and go alone to the hotel to retrieve my personal vehicle and return to the airport to pick up my husband. The hotel employees were very friendly during our stay but were very rude upon our return and belligerent when we requested a wheelchair accessible shuttle for our return to the hotel to pick up our vehicle. They even went so far as to tell us we didn't stay with them, even though I still had our reservation documentation/confirmation. That was very disappointing.

A fine hotel, but definitely not the best Hilton has to offer. Communal trash cans were small and overflowing, room service was delivered in styrofoam and a plastic bag, and overall everything felt completely average.

The room was great other than the refrigerator was missing. The lady checking me in didn't want to take the time to explain the new parking pay system. Downloading/scanning and paying for parking on your phone. She just said ”do it, it self explanatory”. Well I did it and the next day, it didn't work, couldn't get out of the parking lot... Total mess! This happened several times with the new parking lot... Total inconvenience, scanners never work, they argure you haven't paid when you have proof on your phone that you have! Probably will never stay here again. An additional $18 a night for parking is ridiculous! It doesn't add to safety or security. I've been staying here for years, this is just absurd!!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and while it had some redeeming qualities, my overall experience left a lot to be desired. Here's a breakdown of my stay: Pros 1. **Affordable Price**: The room rates were budget-friendly, making it suitable for travelers looking for a cost-effective option. 2. **Staff**: The staff was polite and tried to be helpful, though they seemed understaffed at times. Cons 1. **Amenities**: Basic amenities like toiletries, fresh towels, and a working air conditioner felt subpar. The Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected. 2. **Noise**: The walls were thin, and I could easily hear people talking and walking in the hallways, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Overall Experience: It might be a decent option for someone on a tight budget and just to stay for one night, but I would recommend spending a little more to stay somewhere with better facilities.

HH KBreraThis the worst ripoff I ever had, the pictures are deceiving no such thing like a resort and or Hotel, this is more likely a 5th level motel so deceiving so highly priced for the real rooms quality. The phone line was death, I had to walk in to the lobby for service , I will rate this place - 1000 if it was possible , location is great but no quality parking control anybody can drive in and use a suppose to be a private beach for the guests, at check Put time I asked for some kind of reference # and or statement and I was told to ask trip.com for my check out time and or check out statement after this lack Of honesty ripoff I was highly concerned to be charge for extra time and or incidentals I never used and when I ask for some kind of evidence and or printout statement they call security to kick me out and if they didn’t was because Inturned my phone camera on

GGuest UserMy daughter and I were traveling for a gymnastics competition. We were pleased with the location's proximity to the Fort Worth Convention Center and dining options. The room and hotel were pretty clean overall. However, these are the weird things that ruined our stay: - The bathroom door knob was missing. I know it sounds weird, but there was no knob--just a big hole in the door where one should be. - The heat in our room did not work. We were cold and had it set to 80, but it only blew cold air. - Upon arrival at breakfast (included with our specific booking) no one acknowledged us or greeted us. We waited for a while and then I tracked down a worker putting out food to ask if we seat ourselves or if someone seats us. She did not reply to me (language barrier), but got someone to tell us we could just seat ourselves. It was confusing and unwelcoming. I witnessed other patrons enter after me and share the same confusion and have to ask as well. A simple greeting, welcome, or explanation could go a LONG way. I am not typically a complainer, so the issues above would've normally been mentioned at checkout for resolution before the next time they put someone in the room. It wasn't worth the hassle of moving to a different room. - (This was the biggie.) We had a family enter our room because they were given keys and assigned OUR room at check in. We had not checked out, and now our keys would no longer work. The family returned to the desk and were assigned a different room. When I asked about this mix up at the desk, they told me they ”didn't know how that had happened” like I was somehow making it up. They reprogrammed our key cards and assured us that no one else would bother us during the remainder of our stay. - They charged me for one night of parking instead of two, and charged me for breakfast although it was included with my booking. These charges were resolved and an apology was extended for the inconveniences of the stay. I would not stay at this hotel again, and will choose differently when traveling there next year. It was a hassle and a disappointment.

GGuest UserThe room was very nice and updated. Location was excellent and within walking distance to the Kid Rock concert. It was on the waterway, so it made the walk enjoyable....close to restaurants too. Parking at the guest garage was affordable at $17 for 24 hours. Hotel staff was very friendly.

GGuest UserWe had many issues. The elevators worked sporadically. When climbing the 3 flights of stairs we still could not get in. The doors were locked and we had to bang on the door for someone to open the door from the inside. We only had one roll of toilet paper for 3 nights. No extra roll in the room for us. Service at bars was not great. Employees seemed overworked and not happy to be there.

EExpatCambria is a newer hotel amidst the redevelopment projects taking place near Rainey Street, a historic landmark of homes turned into entertainment venues. Cambria is opposite side of the spectrum with innovative decor and relaxation. Note that parking costs 49USD per day with valet access only. We chose not to rent a car based on our needs in Austin. Came to visit my son and his family with my eldest son, so we wanted to have some options near nightlife activities. Local drivers shared info on the changes made to the nearby historic street, and staff was friendly with all needs. The water statiins were a plus. Where I think Cambria can improve is in the price of the rooms, menu items and operation hours of their lobby bar/roof bar since staff was short during our stay. Walking to the entertainment street required the back alley short trek, and that aspect took away from the lush atmosphere of the hotel. Grafitti and Limestone hotel venues can easily adjust their marketung strategies towards in-house entertainment along with the Valet arrangement to flow more smoothly and affordably. It’s a lovely hotel which can become full circle staycation with a few adjustments regarding that aspect. New business developments working alongside grass roots businesses is key to smooth changes for both visitors and long-time locals. The pool atmosphere is great, the gym is clean, and the first floor waiting area an easy meeting spot.
