"The parking was free and accessible. The meals were included this time and a lovely choice and the restaurant staff we re very attentive and happy the whole experience was very good. Comfy bed and pretty quiet.  Just the shower not a lot of power but still did the job . All the shower gel and hair products were there ready to use ."

"I booked 2 nights here with my friend and our 2 sons. The rooms were small but immaculate, and we had everything we needed provided. The staff were lovely, helpful and professional. The only thing is, that the pool is small, and if you go in half term then you won’t have anywhere to sit or put your towels and the pool is packed.  The only negative is that although I booked it months ago, received reminders and confirmation, our booking wasn’t there. Thankfully, the staff were able to sort us 2 rooms next to each other which surprised me as it was half term."

The Garner Hotel Reading City Centre, located in the heart of Reading’s town centre, offers a prime location alongside the Oracle Shopping Centre and is just a short walk from Reading main train station, providing excellent links to London, including the Elizabeth Line. The hotel features 53 newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms, equipped with air conditioning and offers on-site parking. It’s just a 10-minute drive to the Madjeski Stadium and 5 minutes to the University of Reading making it a great choice for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel’s proximity to green areas provides a perfect escape to connect with nature. We also offer modern conference facilities that accommodate 2 to 80 people, all complemented by a bright lobby and a 24/7 Garner Shop for convenience.

"🌟 **Highly Recommend! (4 Big Pros)** **Prime Location:** Only a 6-minute walk from Reading Station! This distance was a lifesaver for me, traveling with a whole family, big luggage, and three kids. **Suburban Hub:** It's just over 20 minutes by train to Oxford, and very close to the stunning Cotswolds. This is the perfect alternative to save on expensive London accommodation. **Amenities Galore:** Within walking distance of the hotel, you'll find local historical sites, museums, and several large parks, which are super convenient for letting the kids burn off energy. **Dream Trip Enabler:** The overall convenience made our dream European trip incredibly smooth; we could head out whenever we wanted. ⚠️ **Heads Up! (2 Cons/Challenges)** **Stairs – The Ultimate Boss (Top Floor Attic):** We happened to stay in the small attic room on the very top floor. While the natural light and space were cozy, we had to haul our large luggage all the way up to the 3rd floor (which in the UK feels like the 4th floor)! The stairs are numerous and narrow. If your luggage is too heavy, you'll seriously question your life choices. I highly recommend packing light if you stay here! **No Indoor Slippers Provided:** This hotel doesn't provide slippers (a common eco-friendly practice in old European hotels and B&Bs). If you're used to wearing slippers, remember to bring your own from Taiwan."

"Just returned from a two night stay. The hotel could not be in a better location.....absolutely perfect! Unfortunately though the hotel is very tired and dated. The lift doesnt work and judging bybprevious reviews im not sure the last time that it was. The bathroom door wouldnt stay closed and my room overlooked the backs where clearly the bins and restaurant staff are. I was rudely awoken by the staff and bin men at 04.45am which wasnt great. All in all a perfect location and the reception staff were lovely but not really worth the money that it cost!"

"Stayed here for 7 days before and after, the hotel is a chain hotel, there are many guests, although not particularly large, but many people stay every day. The room size is moderate, there are no special highlights and no obvious shortcomings. The front desk staff is more enthusiastic. Breakfast is a standard English breakfast, which has everything."

"Had a pleasant stay at Travelodge Windsor Central. The hotel is very centrally located, making it easy to explore Windsor Castle, shops, and restaurants—all within a short walking distance, and right next to the train station. The room was clean and comfortable, and overall it offers good value for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The only downside is that there is no pick-up or drop-off point directly in front of the hotel, so arriving with luggage or by car can be a bit inconvenient. Aside from that, it’s a solid and convenient choice for a weekend stay in Windsor."

"I had a very nice 2 night stay. The room is a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Everything worked well, from the shower temperature and pressure, to good wifi. The staff was friendly, available and efficient. Unfortunately I did not have time for breakfast which was included, so cannot talk of that, but it was just a 13 min walk to a shoppmall with a big supermarket. There was a big car park, if you drive, but I came by bus from Reading Railway Station and found it a short walk from the stop on arrival and for returning to Reading the bus stop was just in front of the hotel."

"Kettle was full of dust. No soap or handwash provided and when requested was not supplied. also dead flies all around dining area windows and chairs. Our room above dining area with bay window was constantly noisey with doors opening & shutting and items moved in and out. Even at front door corridor door constantly noisey with door opening/shutting leading to other rooms with other people entering and exiting to downstairs facilities and reception. Dining staff were pleasant and breakfast was nice."

Absolutely fantastic stay at this fab hotel, beds super comfy, great location close to the airport, and the best thing about this hotel is the scrumptious breakfast buffet, where ever need is catered for. So much choice and food is of excellent quality and served hot. This hotel is our go to when we fly out from Heathrow the following day.

We always stay here, but on this occasion I wasn’t very happy as the bedsheets/pillow case smelt damp. And the door hinge was loose which made it feel unsafe. Room was swapped in the ended so I’m happy about that.

The hotel's location is excellent, directly across from Windsor Castle. The parking lot is behind the hotel; you can navigate directly there by entering the hotel's parking into your phone, otherwise, it might be a bit hard to find. The parking fee is £30 for one night, which the hotel staff said isn't considered expensive.

The hotel facilities are outdated and have an unpleasant smell. The staff were satisfactory; they promptly called a technician to fix the shower pipe and drain issues. Thankfully, it was just for one night, so we managed. Although the location is a bit far from Windsor Castle, the price was cheap. I guess it balanced out in the end.

First receptionist we dealt with was really nice but then she had to ask a colleague for help with our check in and she was extremely rude. Having booked an executive room, we were told we didnt get access to the executive lounge as hadn't booked direct. Load of rubbish. Went to our room, quick call to Hilton Customer Care and they confirmed we did have executive lounge access so went back to reception. The hotel is really comfortable, big spacious rooms, nice beds, bathrooms with shower and bath. Water wasn't free even in executive rooms which was a bit of a shock (£2.50 a bottle). Executive lounge was nice but service much cut back from last time I stayed at few years ago. Fridges empty most of the day, snacks not topped up. Dirty cups everywhere etc. Evening snacks was good but again, reduced compared to what they used to offer. Spirits and prosecco was a nice touch though. Breakfast served in the restaurant for executive room guests. Really nice selection, mostly buffet but eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Nice coffee. Staff on the whole are really friendly and welcoming (apart from the receptionist on day one). We had 3 nights here and enjoyed it. There is a shuttle bus from terminal 5 to the hotel door which is £6.80 per person or you can take bus number 5 which stops on the road outside the hotel for £1.50. If staying more than one night, there is buses to Windsor, legoland, Slough and hounslow (for the tube to central london).

The hotel's surroundings are beautiful, nestled in a residential area, so there are hardly any unruly crowds, and the locals are very nice. The hotel staff provide excellent service, and their English is fluent. The rooms are not densely packed, and the staff maintain an appropriate distance, which is appreciated. The breakfast area is clean, and while the selection is simple, the quality is high, and the fruit is fresh. I recommend trying the milk with various cereals. I look forward to visiting again.

A great hotel, close to the motorway for the night before arriving at Heathrow for early morning flight. Only 3 days before arriving, I received an email stating that the car park for the night would be £7.50 for the night. Unfortunately none of this was mentioned in the booking, be aware that there is a car parking charge overnight
