"The parking was free and accessible. The meals were included this time and a lovely choice and the restaurant staff we re very attentive and happy the whole experience was very good. Comfy bed and pretty quiet. Just the shower not a lot of power but still did the job . All the shower gel and hair products were there ready to use ."

"Place has been refurbished to a higher standard bathroom and room outlook. The bathroom was very clean, bedding also very clean ironing crises on linen. Downside could hear every flash of the toilet and talking. Also my room was on a top flight of the stairs by the time l got to my room l was breathless. I did mention to reception that l had been unwell so could’ve done with a lift. Others may differ in opinion. Overall 8/10
Ample parking which is really lovely. Will stay again.❤️"

"A beautiful estate and so much to explore nearby. It's quite close to Windsor center and only a few min drive away from Windsor Castle. The layout of the hotel was a bit confusing at first because the main hotel reception is a little hidden, but easy enough to find after one or two attempts! The room is reasonably spacious for two and fairly clean. I only wish there was a fridge!
One of our curtains fell on the second day of our stay. We were out when it happened and found it fallen when we got back. We went to reception to let them know (this was around 1pm) and they said they'll send someone over to take a look. We waited in our room until 6pm, called reception again, and no one came. We went down to reception the next day to inquire again and were told that maintenance had left for the evening, but that they will be sent to our room straightaway the next morning. We went out the next morning, came back, and found the curtain completely removed!! No replacement. We asked reception if someone was going to come replace the curtain and they basically said they couldn't fix it at this point, and that they could change us to a twin bed room (we were originally in a double) that was much, much smaller. Not the kind of situation I would expect from a hotel that flaunts its customer service.
We also asked for room service on all three nights and not once were our bedsheets/duvet changed (we had an orange juice stain in the middle of our bed that was still there every day).
Overall the location is great and the hotel is super aesthetic, but we didn't like the fact we had to stay in a curtain-less room for 2 nights with no compensation or alternative (and had to chase them to even do something about the fallen curtain)."

"After a long journey, from landing to clearing customs, and then struggling to find the bus stop, we were freezing while waiting for our transfer 🥶. We finally arrived at the hotel past 11 PM. The front desk staff were super friendly and helped us check in smoothly, also giving us all the details about breakfast 👍🏽. The hotel is clean and tidy! Our room even had a heater, which was a real lifesaver for us after arriving so late and being out in the cold for so long. It felt incredibly warm and welcoming!"

"Just returned from a two night stay. The hotel could not be in a better location.....absolutely perfect!
Unfortunately though the hotel is very tired and dated. The lift doesnt work and judging bybprevious reviews im not sure the last time that it was. The bathroom door wouldnt stay closed and my room overlooked the backs where clearly the bins and restaurant staff are. I was rudely awoken by the staff and bin men at 04.45am which wasnt great.
All in all a perfect location and the reception staff were lovely but not really worth the money that it cost!"

"The hotel very close to slough market, also it is 5km from windsor market i went there on foot, if you enjoy natural views and rivers there are many places to enjoy, the rooms in the hotel are clean and they provide all that hotels should prived, but the should put good isolating window to keep the noise from the outside unheard, also they should lower the floor of the toilets to prevent the water pooring into the room at shower time. Despite the room of improvements i mentioned earlier i enjoyed my stay with them and i will visit them again."

"The lodge is a great location if you are going to the racecourse. We arrived at around 1:30 as the first race was at 2:30 and was told that if we wanted to check in early we would have to pay a fee of £20. When the races often start at around 2-2:30 this seemed unreasonable. I had to come out of he racecourse between races to check
In. I’ve stayed at the Lingfield racecourse hotel and they checked us in 12:30 as our room was ready. Went for breakfast at around 7:50 and there was no menus out, the staff seemed totally disorganised. There was no instructions on how to order food. The continental “help yourself” was ok but had very little fruit options. They did have alpro soya and oat milk as milk alternatives. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. It did have a free standing fan which was good in the warm weather. The bad was big and comfortable. The shower was nice and had shower gel. The customer service let it down a little."

GGuest UserH
am writing to share some feedback about my recent stay at your hotel. There were several aspects of my room that I was very pleased with, but I also encountered some disappointments regarding the service and amenities that I believe need to be addressed.
The Room (Positive)
On a positive note, I was very pleased with my room overall. The space was incredibly spacious, and both the kitchen area and the toilet/bathroom were excellent and very clean. While we did find the heating and ventilation a bit challenging to figure out at first, we eventually managed to get it sorted.
Regarding room service, it would be highly beneficial if staff members were able to come straight up to the room to check on a customer when an issue arises. While I appreciate being able to call the front desk, having someone physically present to help right away would make a massive difference.
The Breakfast (Disappointing)
Unfortunately, the breakfast was a major disappointment and really terrible. There were hardly any healthy options available. Furthermore, I would have liked the staff at breakfast to be a little more attentive and welcoming. While they weren't explicitly rude, they lacked the warmth and helpfulness you expect at breakfast.
The Lobby & Public Area
I found the lobby area very difficult to relax in. For some reason, football was being played loudly on the TV with nobody actually watching it. When I mentioned this to the staff, they refused to turn it off. Because the area is already quite tiny and the TV was so loud, it made sitting there and eating very uncomfortable.
Staff and Customer Service
In general, the hotel was quite clean, but the overall service left a lot to be desired. I would have liked the staff to be more present, helpful, and proactive in meeting guest needs. During my stay, I was made to feel like a nuisance and a ”problem” just for asking for basic assistance. A paying customer should never be made to feel like they are being problematic simply for wanting their needs met.
Conclusion
To summarize, the room size, cleanliness, and facilities were perfect bonuses. However, the breakfast quality, lobby atmosphere, and the staff's defensive attitude really let the experience down. I hope you will use this feedback to improve your guest services in the future.i
KKatherine MorganHotel really well situated for the motorway and for Newbury station.
The facilities are really good, and service received from the moment we arrived from the very friendly and helpful member of staff on reception.
Really lovely breakfast with a great choice of food. Will definitely be returning

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, directly across from Windsor Castle. The parking lot is behind the hotel; you can navigate directly there by entering the hotel's parking into your phone, otherwise, it might be a bit hard to find. The parking fee is £30 for one night, which the hotel staff said isn't considered expensive.
GGuest UserThis is the first time I’ve stayed in many years, in fact it hasn’t changed it’s like go back into a time warp back to the 90s.
The staff are very nice and the breakfast was very good (they have real eggs).
Now the not so good stuff.
The rooms are basic and outdated. Our mattress was old in fact it caved in the middle.
Being a IHG member they had a loyalty week giving away prizes which was a nice touch but they removed the free bottle of water (not good)
All in all a 6.5/10
RRajni MahzabinAdequate hotel for the price.
Mattress and pillow were slightly uncomfortable.
Due to the hotel being a wedding venue, I was kept up at night due to the wedding music from below.
NNaliyouxiaoyuBooked the family room and was incredibly satisfied! It was surprisingly spacious. I was traveling alone with three kids, and there was a big bed and a sofa bed that could sleep two. I was worried it wouldn't be enough for four people and had even asked the hotel to add an extra bed in advance, but it turned out to be more than enough space. It's also very close to the hotel, about a ten-minute drive, which was great.
FFanyuhaogeThe room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast selection was quite rich, and the hygiene was clean and tidy. The service attitude was good, offering great value for money. It's a bit of a distance from the train station, requiring a short walk or a ride-sharing service.
GGo MissPriddyIt was a nice comfortable room and stay. Cost effective with breakfast.
Systems were down so checking was delayed and held us up. Room was too far for my sister to walk as she suffered with a leg injury and found it difficult to walk to and from the room. Accessibility was not considered despite noting it on the booking so she couldn't have the desired shower room as expected. Could be because of the system issue. The room was spacious and nice, hall a little bland, hall carpet a little tarnished possibly due to footballers and co footfall as it's connected to the stadium so perfect for footballers and families at match time. Entrance clean and inviting. There are 2 floors ,no lift so this must be considered if you cannot walk far. Lobby and breakfast hall was clean, and buffet breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly. FYi- my uncle received complimentary benefits for the long check in issues and delays. My sister and I didn't although it would have been nice too, since we waited long also. Overall it was nice but and I would stay again.
