The room is so spacious. Couple of gripes are i was unable to have a coffee as the kettle had seen better days and was really grubby inside. When we got out of the lift at floor 1 there was an overwhelming smell of ******** as if someone had been smoking it in their room. We just looked at eachother as it is a personal dislike of that smell. Its very distinguished and lingers - the smell remained each time we got out of the lift. Service was impeccable.
Had a disabled access room, which was understandably big but very bare. Room 151; the TV remote - provide one with the back cover on it, as opposed to the batteries being exposed. I felt it very tight, that after the price we paid for this hotel that we are charged £12 for parking our car. That was not a good start for us, as I didn't expect something like that, particularly after the cost of stopping overnight which wasn't cheap. Breakfast was good. Overall, I won't be back as it did not justify the price charged for the stay.
If it is for the amusement park, this hotel is still very convenient, but a little distance from the center of Heichi Town will generate additional transportation costs. At the same time, I was extremely dissatisfied with the hotel's hygiene and service attitude, but I opened the newly cleaned room and saw such a scene. Although people were arranged to re-do the bathroom hygiene, no compensation was provided for this.
Fabulous stay at the Best Western Carlton in Blackpool. The staff could not have done more to help, and the lady on the front desk was so friendly and chatty. They helped immediately when they realised I had a pram, toddler and 2 bags and was alone - even changing our room to make things easier. Lovely people!
Only downside was the thin walls, meaning we could hear every word of the 4am argument in the room next door!!
A stay to remember… for better and worse
I’ll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly—they made me feel like I’d wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My room’s curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not ideal—especially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside.
The leisure facilities didn’t fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didn’t feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as I’d been looking forward to a relaxing dip.
Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous night’s menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable.
In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refresh—both in decor and dining. If you’re coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If you’re after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere.
Was fine up until me and my partner came back from a gig, around 22:45, and found ourselves fully locked out for a good 20 minutes, had to have the security officer from next door to call the worker at the President to open the door. Nothing, not so much as an apology, for leaving us out in the cold.
Fair & Honest.
Negatives - 1) room (single with double bed) too small.
2) bar staff (gent) too cocky let the team down
3) no comeback when they checked my room out for cigarette smoke (from designated outside smoking area).
Positives -1) entertainment 1st class 2) all staff have obviously been well trained on how to respect customers. 3) very friendly holiday makers hotel 4) location
The Hotel located right next to the Railway Station was a brilliant factor in our booking this Hotel,
Within minutes we were booking in at a very friendly reception the whole thing took only a few minutes
The room was great very clean and airy, the walk walk in shower /wet room was brilliant.
Breakfast was great good selection of food and drinks supported by very friendly staff could not ask for more
We will be going back again, every thing we needed for our shot 3 night stay .
This time the house is not as good as before, this time it is too small, and it is on the 1st floor underground, and I have lived twice.
Breakfast is OK, standard English breakfast
Service is OK, the pool is good

EEileen Louise PlunkettWe were travelling to Blackpool for a dance competition at Blackpool tower. The location of this hotel was perfect, we had a lovely sea view room as it was right on the sea front. I arrived separately from my friends by train, I walked from the train station to the hotel and it was very easy to find and took me about 15 mins. The staff were very helpful and I wasn’t checked in very quickly. While waiting on my friends I went to check out the hotel. I used the pool and steam rooms and then used the gym. There was a charge of £2.00 for these facilities which I was happy to pay. I know other people on various reviews I have read had complained about these charges. Especially if there was a few of them travelling as a family. The hotel looks very nice in all the public areas and was very clean. As I have already said it’s in a very good location and I would definitely return to this hotel next time I visit Blackpool as it is also very good value for money
GGuest UserTeam service was excellent, great communications when needed. Room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Only slight negative was the eating area size, got busy quickly but luckily we came to have breakfast earlyish.
