This is really a great deal in Siargao! The price is affordable but it is of great value.
The room is very clean and elegant, and the furnitures/equioments are relatively new and modern. Hot shower is available and the bathroom has a japanese toilet.
The hotel is located just near tourism road, so the restaurants and bars are very accessible.
Breakfast is buffet style and is good for the price. They do not have a lot of staffs, but the staffs there are coourteous and friendly.
We originally booked it for 3 days planning to chnage hotel, but we extended to a week since it is really a good deal.
A/C cooled well, but was an old unit and very loud. Needs to be replaced. Hot water was inconsistent. WIFI good. Breakfast omelettes were good. Should add some fresh fruit. There was no washcloths in the bathroom.
Good location right beside a big shopping mall with plenty of shops and restaurants around.
New hotel, very clean and quiet. Huge king size bed. The elevator was down when I arrived so I had to climb the stairs all the way to the 5th floor.
But the staff was very nice and my check-in and check-out was smooth.
Very good location near the airport for travelers. The staff were very helpful to arrange early transport for us. In such a large hotel, some omissions were a surprise, such as no bar seating (there is a bar, but no cocktails or beer, only full size liquor bottle sales), and no hot water for the shower. AC was good, and rooms are clean, well cared for.
I recently stayed at Amarah Hotel and had a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, courteous, and always ready to assist. The check-in process was smooth and quick, setting a positive tone for my stay.
The room was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed — comfortable beds, fresh linens, a strong Wi-Fi connection, and a spacious bathroom. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary bottled water and toiletries.
One of the highlights of Amarah Hotel was the ambiance — modern yet homey, creating a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The restaurant served delicious food, with a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices. Breakfast was especially satisfying, with both local and international options available.
Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently situated near key spots, making it easy to explore the area. Transportation was accessible, and there were shops and cafes nearby.
Overall, I highly recommend Amarah Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and memorable stay. I’m looking forward to coming back again!
The resort is spacious and we needed to ride a golf cart to get to the room. We could always walk but the pathway to the rooms are not ideal for luggages. The room we booked was great and had a smart TV (but you need your own credentials to log-in). It was also spacious and cozy. The pool is not that big but was good enough. The kiddie pool is nice since it’s not that deep and the water slide is a nice touch. The kids playground was also something that kids would enjoy. Wifi is also strong in all areas. The only hiccup in our stay was the breakfast buffet. They ran out of most food even though it was still ~8AM and refill took a bit longer. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again soon.
Honestly expected better from this resort accommodation since my friends recommended to stay here. The staff were not attentive or even showing us kind hospitality. They were a bit snobbish and when we went for a massage in their massage center, instead of us relaxed at the end of our trip, my boyfriend experienced a knotted shoulder instead. I am of Filipino descent but didn’t grow up in the country and have different passport, when checking in, the staff asked me for a valid ID in Filipino but of course I presented my passport but she rolled her eyes at me the minute she saw that o have a passport than her assumed “ Valid ID “.
I just felt so much bitterness or judgment from all the staff here because English is my native language and I barely speak Filipino growing up and in my daily life so their attitude completely changes towards me cause they think I’m just pretending or being pretentious.
Close to my house in Mabua. This was for my parents. They enjoyed their stay. Pebble Beach across the street from resort. Bathroom simple. Bfast was good. Pools good. Good food on-site. Music not too loud like before. Spacious room. When I have family flying in, it'll be my go-to. Reasonably priced
It is an unexpectedly good hotel. Originally rushed to the Internet celebrity Bayud, but after seeing the house, I felt that the price of Bayud was high and the room was small, so I turned my head and looked for this one on the same beach, and I was very satisfied!
The style of the hotel is more traditional, all room types are the same and facing the sea! There is no pressure to choose barriers to stay. The whole room and living room are well-lit, very quiet, large floor-to-ceiling windows, fully equipped, from surround sound bluetooth speakers, water dispenser, refrigerator, coffee machine, everything is available, facing the sea in the morning, waking up in the sun, sitting in the living room listening to music and eating breakfast (Room service is available) The experience is great. Before leaving, the lady boss arranged for me to have lunch in the seaside pavilion.
I was in a hurry when I checked in. The proprietress still arranged very meticulously. I have stayed in many hotels. This is the only one to send a welcome letter. There are also serious fruits on the plate. The Korean food in the restaurant is easier to meet the Chinese taste. Invited me and my friends to join their barbecue dinner, the Mindanao beef served in the shop is too plump and juicy!
Come again next time

EEddddThe hotel's location is really great for us. The receptionists were friendly when we checked in and checked out. The guards were helpful as well.
The hotel was well-decorated for the season. There's no elevator, so if you get a family room, it's most likely on the 4th floor, which is fine... but if you have big/heavy luggage, this might be an issue. The room was okay, but we were disappointed upon opening... there was a funny smell inside the room, but we didn't bother to complain about it as we were all tired from a long trip. A/C was not cold enough as well. Aside from that, everything else was good.
Thank you, Almont City Hotel.
KKinkin92The hotel is located quite in rhe center, 10 min walk from General luna center area.
The hotel spot is amazing and well designed from the outside, i really felt in the middle of the jungle with very cozy and chill vibe.
But, and a big but!! The interior of the cabins is old and not well maintained .
When i arrived to the hotel they told me that they “upgraded” my stay, and put me in a family cabin of 2 floors (not comfortable at all cause the beds are upstairs and the stairs are very stiff).
There was an horibble smell of sewers from the shower and the sink, just luck i had my own incense so i put it on every time i took a shower.
Moreover, the lightning in the cabin is very poor, and mostly in the bathroom area.
During the night i had lots of noices from the roof, like some animal is trying to come inside- which made me worried and get scared of going back to sleep. Also, the cabin is not sealed and i got tones of mosquitoes bites all over my body.
Staff is nice but everything takes long time until its done.
Overall - the place is very nice and the property itself is located in great spot! With very nice, relaxing and chill vibes. But i wouldnt recommend to stay in this place due to the lack of maintenance.

WWorkHardToTravelKalipay is conveniently located along the main road, walking distance from CEV (the best ceviche in Siargao) and Happiness Bar (best happy hour deal).
The resort is quiet, has a nice pool and the rooms are clean. The staff are amazing — friendly, accommodating and extra helpful. The receptionist, Kim, took really good care of us.
