They should wash their towels better. all the towels smell bad. And to keep on the standards they also should provide potable water one a day not only on the day of the arrival. I enjoyed the welcome drink. It was a nice gesture.

I was surprised to read the recent negative reviews of the Mercure Concepcion. We are well-experienced travelers who stay in the full range of hotels from low to very high. It's a four star hotel. It s well-priced and centrally located. We paid about $75 a night for two nights here. The big surprise was that numerous staff, female and male were sporting small rainbow flag pins. Very welcoming! Many of the staff are fluent in English. The food at the complimentary breakfast was delicious and fresh in a pleasant setting. It was the best of the hotel breakfasts we had on our trip. A true test of a place is when things don't go right. The bathroom sink was clogged. When we reported it, a maintenance staff member arrived within 10 minutes. Done! The downside: It is located next to the highway and a railway. Another plus: near the local Unimarc, about 3 blocks away. Also near two car rental agencies: Mitte and Chilean Rental Car.

We enjoyed staying here, a 1 night stopover on the way to Santiago, and world stay again if in the area. Room great, clean, good air con, good shower and a nice touch with a free welcome drink. Breakfast adequate and nice big car park. Points we felt a bit let down on were, a mess up with our keycard which they said they corrected but the new card wouldn’t work in the lift repeatedly and we were unnecessarily being asked to use the staff lift and then still notable to enter our room meaning we had to go back to reception etc - no real apology. We would have forgiven, these things happen, but then when requesting milk for our tea/coffee (machine in room) we were told we had to pay, and also we couldn’t take it upstairs ourselves, we had to wait for it to be delivered. This seemed inefficient and penny pinching. Breakfast service also a bit clunky with having to point at buffet rather than helping ourselves or ordering from table. Queues built up. Covid is reason but staff put their hands all over glasses, cutlery and food they served anyway ….

I had visited this hotel a few years ago and I was very happy to visit it again, but the disappointment was great. When we arrived everything seemed good, the reception was now on the first floor and was larger, before it was small and on the fourth floor, but as soon as we raised all change, the level of deterioration of the hotel was obvious, skys with huge spots, doors and The truth looked like in the 4 years after my previous visit they hadn't made maintenance Breakfast was hardly correct and the wifi worked well. I made a reservation via Marriott Bonvoy with my partner number, but the allocation to a Marriott Bonvoy floor was not respected, nor the state was loaded to my account until now. Before my arrival by Marriott app, I was asked for the data for check in, and I was allowed to make some additional requests, but nothing of that was fulfilled, and I had to give all the data again and request again what I had asked for. The staff were very friendly, careful and worried. And I don't understand why the bar is highlighted in the beer store, if you have not even cups or glasses for beer, only glasses of the most common

El hotel como edificio es precioso, camas cómodas, baño amplio, hermosa vista (piso 10 habitacion 1014), muy buena ubicacion, amplia cochera, pero todo esto que se ve espléndidamente bien, se vio arruinado por.... primero la niña que hace el check in... la cual nos queria cobrar dos veces la estadia sin haber chequeado que estaba paga por la plataforma, tuve que ir a mi habitación y buscar el comprobante de la misma que ya estaba pago. luego dijo mi documento de identidad y mi papel de entrada a Chile, y se le olvidó durante un día en una impresora, que de no ser para niña que estaba en el turno de mañana me quedaban todos los papeles en el hotel. El segundo caso es el comedor, es increíble que a esta altura del tiempo todavía se estén manejando con códigos QR.... si uno le pregunta por un menú no saben absolutamente nada, la comida es muy buena pero la capacitacion del personal deja mucho que desear.
