"This was, without a doubt, the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Shanxi. When I booked it, I saw some reviews saying the hotel was a bit old, which made me a little apprehensive. But once I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the strict and orderly management, and every staff member was incredibly dedicated. The room was exceptionally well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and all the facilities were new. The bed was very comfortable. The bath towels were sealed in bags, and the hand soap was from Herborist. The only minor point was that the TV was a bit small, but we didn't really mind. The breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious; both adults and children enjoyed it, and we even had ice cream. The hotel's swimming pool wasn't large, but it was very clean, and I swam there for two consecutive days. Yingze Park is right next door, and you can enter and exit with your room card. In the mornings, my child and I fed the fish and went for a run, experiencing the leisurely lifestyle of Taiyuan residents. It's also not far from Liuxiang Food Street, but we didn't walk there due to the rain, so we'll save that for next time. Overall, highly recommended!"

"This is a really great hotel. Although the parking isn't on-site, it's not too far away, so it doesn't really impact you if you're driving. The value for money is exceptional, and here's why: (1) The decor is very new, minimalist, and extremely clean. (2) There are plenty of lounge areas in the lobby, perfect for chatting with a few friends. (3) The front desk staff are wonderful. On our first day, we weren't sure where the parking was, and the attendant patiently guided us. Even when challenged, they maintained a smile and a gentle tone. Plus, every time we returned to the hotel, they'd greet us proactively – really high-quality service. (4) There are laundry facilities, which is super convenient for long-term travelers, and they even offer a free dinner. Overall, the experience was excellent, and the value is fantastic. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed here with our child, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to the East Gate of the ancient city, and if you walk south from the hotel, there are many small eateries. The interior environment is clean and tidy, and the facilities are very functional. The sleeping environment is great, quiet with no noise, and the bedding is comfortable. The service attitude is superb; they genuinely care about guests and provide many conveniences and benefits."

"The hotel was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Downstairs, there's a noodle shop that's reportedly been open for 20 years, making it very convenient for dining. Since I arrived a bit early and my room wasn't ready, I went to eat first. The hotel is spotless, the breakfast is excellent, and the views from the hotel are great. Downstairs looks like a big park with a river running through it. Overall, the service and environment are excellent, and it's extremely clean. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip, and it's also conveniently close to the high-speed rail station."

"The location of the hotel is good, easy access from main road to get big bags to it and also to go around the ancient city both during day and night time to enjoy all the landmarks. Missing signages make it a bit difficult to find the hotel at first. Also, while we had paid for a bigger rooms the room barely had walking space. It had no luggage storage space or cabinet. The washroom and room floor was not cleaned. Staff on the other hand are very friendly and willing to help with all the questions - on local travel, places to see, vegetarian food, etc. They find a way to help to the best. All in all was a good experience and would have been better with some adjustments."

It's convenient for getting around but still far enough from the hustle and bustle. It's quiet and comfortable at night, truly offering tranquility amidst the lively area. ✨ The decor and design are very thoughtful, people-oriented, balancing aesthetics with living comfort. It's definitely not one of those places that only focuses on appearance and neglects the guest experience. ✨ The breakfast deserves a special mention! Many guesthouses fall short on their food, but this one is a complete exception. The ingredients are simple and unpretentious, but the seasoning is exquisite, the plating is meticulous, and the taste rivals professional restaurants. Don't miss it! ✨ The hygiene standards are on par with proper hotels – clean and tidy. They don't use the cheap disposable towels common in many guesthouses; the attention to detail is excellent. Overall, it was a very fulfilling stay. Although my overall impression of Pingyao Ancient City was just okay, this guesthouse was definitely the highlight of the trip!
