Guest UserReally clean and tidy room and we had the best night sleep on the comfiest bed. Plenty of tea and coffee. Really friendly and helpful staff. Location was at the Center of Chester which made everything easier to get too. It was right by the shops and loads of places to eat. Self service breakfast with plenty of choice enjoyed everything and hope to visit again.

Guest UserLovely hotel with nice big clean rooms. A few issues though - you really need a car to get here as it's a bit far out from the city centre. In my room there was a room service menu and a number to dial for room service, but no phone. The food and drink was ok. During my stay there was only 1 person on the bar and service was a little slow. I ordered a soft drink and it was a bit flat, definitely not worth the £4 they charged for it. Because of staff shortages the dining room was filled with tables that needed to be cleaned. Breakfast was also a bit of a disaster. They charge £15 for it but definitely not worth it. There's a self serve hot buffet which was fine, nothing exceptional. There was no coffee available, just tea bags and hot water. Also there were no plates available at the continental station - really missing attention to detail when there were quite a few staff members present.

Guest UserBest thing I can say is I wish we had stayed more than one night! Lovely friendly staff and good breakfast. Complimentary pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub very welcome. Great location near centre and station. We walked from the latter with luggage in 8 mins. Bar with seating outside overlooking the canal. Only downside is no aircon in room and with the current hot weather the fan was not up to the job.

Guest UserGood hotel, nice breakfast with a variety of items. Very good juices, coffee and tea selection Great pool area and sauna. Shame Aircon does not work in the rooms. Even with the heating in the rooms turned off we still had to leave the window open overnight as it was too hot.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and our choice was primarily due to its convenient location and excellent breakfast. It is very close to the airport and very quiet at night, surrounded by farms and grassland.
We love the breakfast because it is not a typical buffet. Instead, you can choose from a menu with a great variety of options, all of which taste wonderful. The restaurant's decoration is also lovely, and you will be more than satisfied with the portions. The restaurant staff are passionate, friendly, and helpful.
One point to note is that the reception area often has guests around, which is just an observation and neither positive nor negative. The receptionists always do their best and are very nice and professional. However, the room design is a bit outdated.

Guest UserHandy location for travel to North Wales and an easy drive to Chester. Hotel rooms are dated. We only had one bedside cabinet and lamp in a double room. The wardrobe door was in danger of falling off. Room looked out onto another part of the building. A storeroom or something. No window in en suite. Felt a bit claustrophobic.
Breakfast was of limited choice but adequate.
The public areas and pool facilities were clean.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

SKARGUTHonestly, all it provided me was a simple room to stay for the night which is all I needed, the fact that it also has a smart TV with YouTube in it is also a huge bonus so thanks everyone, plus the luggage scale there also done me some favours as well.

Stayed here for one night whilst celebrating a birthday party at a nearby venue. Good that parking is free between Friday 5pm to Sunday evening but they should make that clearer when booking.
Room was ok (we stayed in the club room) big space but lacked a safe, a chair and some more hanging space. Only had one hook to hang a light coat and two shirts. This was an issue because I stayed with my wife and we had brought a couple of dresses and a suit to wear which meant we had to lay them on the floor so they didnt crease. Iron and ironing board and hair dryer was included.
Lack of a chair meant you had to use the bed to sit down if you wanted to, I tend to use a chair to tie my shoes when wearing a suit, so was a bit of an issue.
Bathroom and room was clean, and did the job. The breakfast was a good buffet breakfast and everything tasted nice and fresh. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Would stay again despite the lack of a chair and safe.

First time taking grandson to Chester with an over night stay. First impression of Hotel including location was excellent and I have only one negative from our stay which was reported to reception on checking out. There is a big problem in the hotel with bedroom doors slamming shut noisily every time someone enters or leaves a room as they have no dampening which spoilt our evening and night in our room. The rest of the hotel was excellent with a good swimming pool and restaurant. The breakfast can only be described as superb with our grandson thoroughly enjoying it. The location including the car parking was ideal for walking round Chester City Centre with a 100 yd walk to the main streets and the Levels.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel for a City Break and would easily qualify for 5 stars if they could put some dampening device / closing spring on the bedroom doors.
