Thank you so much for your patient answers and thoughtful arrangements throughout the trip! Whether it was helping me coordinate rooms or providing travel advice, everything was done promptly and considerately. Your service was a real plus and even gave a handmade soap. Great! Looking forward to staying here again.
Very unique hotel love the buddhism vibe to the hotel. Near to Thamel yet in a quiet corner. Staffs are friendly and love the breakfast and complimentary cup of latte or cuppucino everyday! Nice view from the rooftop too!

My flight arrived in Kathmandu at 10 PM, and immigration took forever, so I didn't get out of the airport until almost 11 PM. I had emailed the hotel in advance to request an airport pick-up. I honestly thought no one would be there given how late it was and the lack of a contact number, but I saw my name card among the crowd waiting for cars at the exit. As a first-time visitor, this was such a pleasant and heartwarming surprise!
The car took me to the hotel, which is located in the bustling, central Thamel area. Right downstairs, there's a 'Chengdu Skewers' restaurant. The hotel itself is one of the tallest buildings in the vicinity and boasts a glass-enclosed restaurant on the 12th-floor rooftop, with a pool and spa on the 11th floor – quite a bold design! Breakfast was good, and the service was attentive. The location is convenient; a rickshaw takes just 6 minutes to Durbar Square.
The room size was adequate, but I was a bit disappointed to only get a room on the 4th floor after requesting a high-floor room. Also, the bathroom had a strong, foul odor that permeated the room even with the bathroom door closed. This backflow smell seems to be related to the plumbing and hygiene and definitely needs improvement. Other than that, everything else was great!
Couldn't be better. Staff gave 6 star service with personal attention in every matter. Totally exceeded expectations for the price point. Other hotels would charge $1000 per night for this level of service.

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy.
The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped.
The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try.
Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.
The owner is very nice, and the hotel staff are also very welcoming. When it rained, they offered to hold an umbrella for us and call a taxi. They are very polite. The room was cleaned promptly and very cleanly. They also have Chinese food here, which is very delicious. Staying here feels like being at home.
The hotel is exceptionally clean. Even though it's located in a busy downtown area, they've built a small garden, and every room faces this garden, making it very quiet. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the breakfast is good too.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. We walked to the restaurants and shops, all close by and even to the amazing Garden of Dreams the tranquility in the midst of the chaos. The biggest draw was the indoor pool, it was warm and had a great view of the city. The staff was super friendly and breakfast was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean and nice hotel but the windows don't open. It was quite stuffy and unbearable.
I applied for cancellation at the hotel, but I was told that I couldn't do it even before the cancellation time, so I had no choice but to stay ... I was told that there was a balcony in other rooms. I've been paying more than 18000.
I wanted to cancel once and rebuild the room, but it didn't come true. It was a disappointing trip because I paid a lot of money. It is a pity that the cooperation between the hotel and the site is not functioning at all.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it.
Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out.
At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service!
Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on.
I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw!
Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome.
All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return.
As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

小小苏在努力This hotel is quite good, very new, and has a swimming pool with an excellent environment. The room service is great, always available when called. However, the breakfast is very average, comparable to what you'd find in a basic domestic setting. But for just over 500 RMB, it's not expensive, so I recommend staying here. There aren't many food options nearby, and it's mostly a local residential area, but the overall environment is still very pleasant. There's also a gym, and the rooftop bar is particularly relaxing, being an open-air terrace.

AAussie HelenAfter several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!
GGuest UserThe hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable.
Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here.
Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.
GGuest UserClean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis.
The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work.
1. Couldn’t find my booking.
2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay
3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again.
But he acknowledged his mistakes.
GGuest Userthis place is value for money. well reachable and calm to do morning meditations. the person at the reception really helped a lot during the late checkin.
GGuest UserThe hotel is so historic that it is a living museum. The experience is great, from furniture and supplies, architectural stone carvings and wood carvings to photos and pictures of history, there is a sense of time travel and fulfillment, as if talking with time and space.
Stayed in the hotel for a day, the spa was great, the Indian food was also good, and the service was especially good. The handsome front desk guy Anish lakhe took us to visit the hotel, exchanged coins, introduced food and beverage, and helped call a car to see us off. It is worth recommending.
