"The hotel is located outside the ancient city, about a 20-minute walk away, in an alley off Awati Road. When navigating, make sure to set your destination to Awati Road and enter from that alley entrance, as it's much closer. If you try to enter from the carpet street alley, it's a long walk, which is what happened to me due to a navigation error. So, just a heads-up, and I hope everyone enjoys their stay here!"

"I stayed one night at the Togelun Xia Mu Gaodi Stargazing Camp, and it was a truly fantastic experience, definitely five stars! There's also an adorable Golden Retriever named 'Niangao' (Rice Cake). From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptionally thoughtful. The staff proactively helped us with our luggage to our room and patiently explained the room facilities. They also reminded us of the best times to see the 'golden mountains' (sunlit peaks) and for stargazing, and even arranged a Tajik home visit – very considerate. The room amenities were also a pleasant surprise. There was a Yuewell nasal oxygen concentrator and underfloor heating, so it wasn't cold at all at night. The bathroom featured a Jomoo wet/dry separation design, and the toiletries were from Chando, a well-known domestic brand that felt reliable. The most delightful surprise was that the tents and outdoor furniture were all from Mobigarden, ensuring brand consistency and a premium feel. Overall, the facilities are complete, the service is warm, and the attention to detail is excellent. I was very satisfied with this stay and highly recommend it!"

"Pet-friendly, which was great! Just a heads-up for the next guest reading this: the navigation can be a bit off. When you're getting close, give the hotel a call. I got led into a dead-end this time with no room to turn around, and had to back out (cars parked on both sides of the alley). After a 10-hour drive, I was pretty beat and had to ask the staff for help."

"My friend and I (both from Ireland) stayed here for 4 days and had the best experience. The rooms were lovely and had everything we needed, and the location was perfect- right in the Old Town with lots of nice shops and cafes nearby and beautiful places to take photos. The best part was the staff- everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. It was really nice to meet lots of groups of travelers there from various countries, too. Would highly recommend!"

"I stumbled upon this hostel by chance, initially drawn in by its ambiance—I loved the flowers and plants, the grape trellis, and the spacious courtyard. The atmosphere in the courtyard was wonderful after I settled in. The owners even organized a road trip for everyone, visiting Nalati and Huanghuang Village. Both owners are excellent cooks; one is from my hometown in Guangdong and even took me to the wholesale market to buy fruit 🍉. A whole bunch of strawberries was only 100 yuan! The mulberries in the courtyard were incredibly sweet; we had more than we could eat every day—white, pink, and black, all so delicious! I also saw apple trees, wild cherry trees, and vegetables growing in the backyard 😁. Both owners were incredibly kind and down-to-earth, almost always ready to help. I even got a free meal! They cleaned the courtyard every day and bought huge watermelons 🍉 for everyone. During Eid al-Adha, they even took us to visit other places…"

The room was very clean, and the mattress was just the right firmness, making for a comfortable sleep. The toiletries were individually bottled and worked well; they also thoughtfully provided small packets of laundry detergent and disposable towels and bath towels. The housekeeper was friendly and easy to communicate with. Overall, a very good stay experience; highly recommended."

The rooms are divided into space capsule rooms and tent rooms. Each unit is fitted with full-length floor-to-ceiling windows for unobstructed views, and furnished with premium Serta mattresses, Carnation linens, Hermès toiletries, TOTO smart toilets and Molly Town bath amenities, delivering exquisite comfort amid wilderness charm.Savor exclusive afternoon tea while watching the snow mountains glow crimson at sunset. Located right in the prime viewing area of Muztagh Ata in Xinjiang, the mountains are gilded by sunlight, making every snapshot a cinematic masterpiece.

"The location isn't downtown, but the surroundings are nice. Staying in a tent room is an experience, but the main issue is the complete lack of soundproofing – it is, after all, a tent. So, cleanliness is just barely acceptable. My biggest complaint: each room has a table sprayed with very cheap paint. The smell, especially under the scorching sun, was unbearable! The entire room reeked of paint fumes. Breakfast was truly disappointing. The funniest part was that all guests had to use tiny saucers for their food. Don't they want to buy proper plates? The tables and chairs in the central courtyard were a mess; there were five different styles of chairs alone, giving it a very haphazard feel. What deserves praise, especially when compared to the overall unprofessional management, are the front desk service and the luggage porter! Their service was thoughtful and genuine. And the scenery is also very good! To add: the night view of the courtyard in the hotel's main picture is clearly Photoshopped; the reality is quite underwhelming."

Kuqa 123 Youth Hostel is situated in the historically rich core of Kuqa Old Town and is one of the very few well-preserved typical Uyghur Ayiwang style dwellings in the area. We perfectly blend the essence of traditional ethnic architecture with modern minimalist design, offering two types of distinctive guest rooms, both ethnic-style Ayiwang themed rooms and comfortable, convenient modern minimalist rooms. In the courtyard, grape trellises sway, the garden is tranquil, and the terrace is spacious, allowing you to enjoy a rare moment of peace and comfort during your busy journey. The hostel has an excellent location, within walking distance to Qiuci Alleys, Kuqa Royal Palace, Kuqa Grand Mosque, and Kuqa International Grand Bazaar. The surroundings are dotted with historical sites such as the Kizilgaha Beacon Tower, Subashi Ruins, the legendary Kingdom of Women, and Qiuci Museum. Step outside and you will find a local bazaar, or market, a night market, and a pedestrian street. You can experience the authentic local street life up close and conveniently purchase genuine Kuqa giant naan, which can be shipped, and exquisite Atlas silk clothing. The hostel provides a free parking lot, making it ideal for self-driving travelers. It has convenient access to Kuqa Railway Station and Qiuci Airport, serving as an ideal transit hub for exploring southern Xinjiang. From here, you can easily start day trips to classic attractions such as the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon, the Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves, Flaming Spring, and Demon City. The neighborhood is a gathering place for delicious food, allowing you to savor authentic Xinjiang flavors to your heart's content. Dapanji, numbing and spicy chicken, spicy chicken, Gangzi meat, Laghman, Polo, Samsa, Bo Pi Baozi and many more are all readily available. Hotel near Ancient City of Kashgar,Kashgar
"I chose to stay at the Air Garden in the old city the night before leaving Kashgar to see the apricot blossoms in Southern Xinjiang. As soon as I completed my booking, the guesthouse manager contacted me to ask if I needed airport transfer and informed me about the local weather conditions. I felt a sense of warmth even before checking in. Since vehicles aren't allowed in the old city, the manager informed me of the drop-off point and picked me up the night before check-in. This service was fantastic and saved me the awkwardness of dragging my luggage around looking for the place. The hotel used to be the residence of a local 'Master Bayi' who was in the jade business. His eldest son later inherited the business and expanded it internationally. The original residence was very luxurious. Later, a boss from Hunan bought it and preserved the original four floors. The current third and fourth floors are replicas of the original residence, featuring exquisite wood carvings, making it a wood carving museum. Guests can visit for free. The fifth to seventh floors are the guesthouse, and the first floor sells jade. On the day of check-in, I received a complimentary jade 'peace buckle' from the guesthouse, which was a thoughtful touch 👍 The room decor had a distinct local flavor. Welcome fruits were already waiting in the room, and the mini-bar was free to enjoy. The super-large terrace offered a fantastic spot for enjoying the night view. On the day of check-in, I got to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea. The pastries were exquisite, and sipping tea while admiring the beautiful scenery of the old city made all my worries disappear. This hotel boasts the highest vantage point in the entire old city, perfect for watching sunsets and sunrises. I didn't get to experience it this time, but I'll definitely try it next time. A big thank you to my manager, a handsome local guy, who was with me from the moment I booked until I left. He showed me around and explained the stories behind the wood carving museum, promptly resolved any requests I had during my stay, and patiently inquired about my airport transfer. Thumbs up! The guesthouse manager arranges breakfast for guests on the fifth floor according to their requested time. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The breakfast spread was rich and well-balanced; I couldn't even finish it all by myself 😂 This guesthouse has only 10 rooms, offering a high degree of privacy. The elevator and entrances all use facial recognition. After checking in, I had a travel photoshoot with makeup on, and afterwards, the facial recognition surprisingly didn't work 😂 This only further convinced me of the guesthouse's excellent security! 👍 Although it's a guesthouse, it's very well-managed. Here, I truly experienced what 'customer-first' means. The guesthouse manager, Ms. Jin, an elegant lady, genuinely cares for guests, making everyone feel at home. I heard that after May 1st, the guesthouse will offer a service where managers take guests on tours of the old city. This is a brilliant idea, saving guests who are unfamiliar with the old city the hassle of getting lost. I look forward to the guesthouse getting better and better. The guesthouse's amenity kit is beautiful, and the manager said I could take it home, which is great! 😄 I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Kashgar. I highly recommend everyone to experience the charm of this guesthouse up close and hear its stories firsthand."

TTravis and ElishaWow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! You will be a highlight of our visit to China and will be remembered in our hearts forever. -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS: when we get home I'm going to try to write up a bit about our trip on Tripadvisor because I couldn't find anything about Kashgar on trip advisor since covid, and some things have changed, so I thought it might be helpful for fellow travelers, so look for that.

GGuest UserIf you’re looking for an unforgettable stay that combines the beauty of nature with five-star comfort, look no further than Shire Stargazing Ultimate Glamping. They have truly perfected the meaning of glamping (glamorous + camping) in every single way. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s hospitality and service were not just comparable to world-class 5-star hotels in many ways, they exceeded them. As a non-Chinese speaking guest, I was a little nervous at first, but the team went above and beyond to make me feel completely at ease. Their cheerful smiles and genuine warmth were so heartwarming. What touched me the most? They constantly checked on my fiancée, who is vegetarian, making sure she had wonderful options at every meal. Seeing that level of care for her meant the world to me. They even carried my heavy luggage to the room❤️ Activities (both paid and free): They have horseback riding with the on-site coach – highly recommend (yes, it's a paid service). For free activities, there’s a giant swing (reminiscent of the one in Kalajun Grassland), archery, and the most beautiful, calm animals: two incredibly cute lambs, a cow, several horses, and the sweetest little dog who will greet you. If you’re nervous around animals, don’t worry – they are the chillest, calmest creatures and will only approach if you call them. Food: 10/10. My fiancée said it was the best meal she had in all of Xinjiang. Cooked by the wonderful Ah Po and Ah Gong, every dish felt like a loving home-cooked meal made by grandparents. There’s also an adorable cafe hut (though we didn’t get coffee – we were too busy being in awe of everything around us). Room standards: This is where they truly shine. Air conditioning, heater, soft comfy bed, overhead curtains to open or close for stargazing, fridge, hairdryer, lighted mirror, heated toilet – and spotlessly clean. We slept like a baby. And finally… stargazing. This is exactly why I chose this place. We stayed up until 3 AM, completely mesmerized by a sky full of stars like I’ve never seen before. I’ll let the photos I uploaded do the talking. 😁 (I have added the settings I used on iPhone to take the photos, bring a stand and on night mode:30s with exposure adjustment and ProRAW turned on) Thank you, Shire Stargazing Ultimate Glamping, for giving us a truly magical experience. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend all couples and families to come here

AAnnaZhaosu Muxueju | Treasure B&B for healing the journey, I will choose here next time I come ✨ Usually when booking a homestay online, there will always be some embarrassment in my heart, worried that the real scene and the pictures and texts do not match, and disappointed by stepping on thunder. But this time, the Mu Xueju, who stayed in Zhaosu, completely subverted my inherent impression, adding warmth and surprise to our trip to Yili. We drove all the way from Yining to Zhaosu, and the sun was hot and tired in the afternoon. Fortunately, the little girl at the front desk was very gentle and enthusiastic, and she checked in for us intimately and quickly. We booked a 180-degree view room at the end of the homestay. The view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows on all sides is really amazing! Nestled on the soft white sofa in the living room, you can quietly enjoy the flowing clouds and the distant mountains and clear mountains. The healing scenery of Zhaosu is panoramic, and the atmosphere is directly full. The homestay has been open for two years, but the room facilities are very clean and tidy, and there are almost no traces of use. The real scene is exactly the same as the platform picture, and there is no gap, which makes people particularly comfortable. Before departure, I added the store's WeChat consultation activities in advance, and responded promptly, patiently and meticulously throughout the process, and thought about everything for the sake of the guests. For the homestay, clean and high-quality hardware is the foundation. This kind of intimate service is the most moving temperature. There is also a small promotion of the staff, and we have given a lot of practical suggestions for our itinerary. It is sincere and enthusiastic, especially reliable. During our stay, we ate lunch and dinner here, and it was especially convenient to support online applet orders. From the room, the meal has been prepared intimately, and it takes no time to wait. The local beef tastes great, fresh and fragrant, and the authentic taste is endless. At the same time, I experienced the self-service laundry service in the store, the facilities are complete and easy to use, and the detailed experience is full. There are also two cute dogs in the store every day and Harley, who have a gentle personality and are not afraid of life. Every night, they walk back to the room, and they will escort us all the way, watching two small cockroaches run wildly in the grassland, spread joy and roll, comfortable and healing, just watching the mood become soft. Most special is that the homestay also arranged a rich Kazakh folk experience. We personally experienced milking, separating cream, hand-made snoring, and finally shared the cakes made by ourselves with everyone, immersed in local folk culture, and the journey became particularly meaningful. We stayed here for two nights, and went back and forth to the Xiata Scenic Area the next day. After watching the performance of the Tianma Yuhe, it was already ten o'clock in the evening. I thought that returning to Shanghai late at night would be a simple reception. I didn't expect the staff to take the initiative to greet the play experience. A gentle care immediately dispersed the fatigue of the journey. It is really rare to be able to make the service meticulous and put the guests in their hearts. Before leaving, the staff also specially recommended a niche route for us with beautiful scenery and sparse traffic, so that we can arrive at Joan Kushtai with peace of mind along the way with the beautiful scenery of the grassland. After the immersive experience throughout the whole process, I am full of joy and touch. If you come to Zhaosu next time, Mu Xueju must be our best choice! I really recommend it to friends who come to Zhaosu to travel, it is worth going, it is worth staying repeatedly 💛

GGuest UserThis hotel is not perfect but overall I had an amazing stay. First, the woman on reception is very friendly and helpful. She let me check in early as I arrived from Urumqi at 8am. Thanks to her I was able to get a good sleep before I started exploring the old town. She even gave me yogurt and granola so I wouldn't have an empty stomach. Despite the language barrier, she was patient with me and was always willing to help. The location could not get any better. It's inside the ancient town so you can easily walk to shops, restaurants and cafes. Cars are not allowed in the ancient city but that wasn't a problem -the hotel is roughly a 5 minute walk from one of the entrances to the old town so it's very convenient to walk there to take a taxi, find a bus stop etc. The decor of the entire hotel is beautiful and fits in very well with the asthetic of the old town. I just wish the communal areas on the roof top was better maintained. It is starting to look a bit shabby. Overall I was happy with my room but there are some things I wasn't pleased about. First, apart from the tables on both sides of the bed, the other cabinets in the room were for show -they don't actually open, meaning there is very little storage space. Also, I like having a window I'm my room so I can feel less claustrophobic. I paid extra for a courtyard view. That's because I wanted to see the courtyard. However, I opened the curtain, and I found out that the windows are opaque. I opened the windows as far as I could without banging the TV, and there's a barrier over the windows. I understand they have these measures for privacy but in my opinions, curtains are enough. That definitely dampened my experience. Lastly, the walls are extremely thin, meaning almost every night I was woken up by other people making noise in the courtyard. Overall I am happy with my experience and I would book here again next time I visit Kashgar, but I would book a room with a city view instead for the reasons mentioned above.

Mmiamia0220The owner was really nice and upgraded our room. The view from the window was great. However, the neighboring guesthouse looked a bit messy, which detracted from the beautiful scenery. The room was huge and even had a starlit ceiling. Unfortunately, the windows weren't working properly; one just wouldn't close. Since it was so early, around 5 AM, I didn't feel comfortable bothering the owner for help. The hotel offers breakfast, which was good. The price wasn't expensive either, so it's pretty good value for money. It's also very convenient, only about 300m from the bus stop. The bedding seemed clean, as I often get itchy at other guesthouses. Out of all the places I've stayed, including this one, only two haven't made me itch. Overall, I'm quite satisfied! If you're wondering where to stay, I recommend this place. Though I feel guesthouses in Hemu are generally quite beautiful. Kanas was the worst, definitely not recommended! Go for either Baihaba or Hemu.

GGuest UserIn the remote Hemu, it was unexpected to enjoy a warmer, more romantic and more considerate service than a five-star hotel. Especially for ladies, there are unexpected gains. High-quality facial masks, essential oils, and moisturizing sprays are delivered every day, which are must-haves for beauty-loving ladies in Xinjiang. JJanet, MalaysiaThe homestay owner, Chen Fang sister is an absolutely lively character. She is warm and welcoming! As soon as we reached the entry point to Baihaba village, she picked us up from the car park at the entry point. She is very sociable and made us feel extremely comfortable. In that 10 mins ride, she managed to gave us an overview of the village and recommended places that we can visit including the horse ride to the peak. This is a must-try! The sunset view is absolutely amazing! Do try this. Her sister is also very caring. The room was a little cold at night and when we informed her, she came over herself to help adjust the temperature. Needless to say, we slept very well that night. The room was clean and beddings were very comfortable. The only improvement would be to offer towels, instead of the disposable ones. Everything else was great! No breakfast is provided with the homestay (or at least we didn't book it). There are many eateries and shops around us within walking distance so the location is perfect. For the horse ride, she arranged for the horse riding company to send a car to pick us up to the riding location. And of course, dropped us back to the homestay afterwards. This was one of the most memorable day throughout our Kanas holiday! Thank you sisters for your warm welcome! Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI had such a wonderful stay here and truly want to thank all of the staff for making my trip so special. First of all, the hospitality was beyond amazing. As a foreigner who cannot speak Chinese at all, I was honestly a little nervous at first. However, every staff member tried their best to help and welcome me warmly, which touched me deeply. I would especially like to thank a staff member named Yi. She was the only person who could communicate with me fluently in English, and she helped me with absolutely everything during my stay. Because of her kindness, I never once felt uncomfortable or isolated here despite the language barrier. I would honestly give her 10000/100! The accommodation itself was also excellent. The room was very clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere allowed me to rest perfectly every night. Another thing I loved was the variety of activities offered here. Everything was amazing , horseback riding, delicious hot pot meals, and even professional photography sessions. It was my first time riding a horse, so I felt a little nervous at the beginning, but the staff took such good care of me and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. Most importantly, I was deeply impressed by the culture here. It felt so warm and heartfelt. I truly love your culture. At night, there was a campfire gathering where local staff sang songs and danced together. It was such a joyful and unforgettable experience for me. In conclusion, if I ever visit Xinjiang again, I will definitely come back and stay here. Thank you so much to every staff member for your hard work and kindness. You made me genuinely happy throughout my entire stay.

DDDMDOverall, quite a decent stay. You really can’t beat the location. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the main entrance to this side of old city. The balcony overlooks the main street and I loved sitting there and taking in the sounds and smells. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The table in my room was a bit dirty and aged, and there was an ashtray which suggests smoking can be allowed in the room for prior guests, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell in my room. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. The bathroom shower did not drain well and after 5 minutes water would start flooding out of the shower room to the hallway. There are two washers in a lower room but they were both occupied with sheets that were just sitting there and had not been put through the wash cycle yet. It seemed like the hotel uses these as their main washer for their linens. When I was checking in, the front desk person seemed confused if I had a reservation but that’s about as much as I could figure out with the language barrier. My trip.com reservation said I have a late checkout of 4pm but they came to my room around 2:45pm and said I was supposed to check out at 2pm. Thankfully I had everything packed up and said I could leave at 3pm. No one came to my room to clean so my trashcan was full. You can hear everything on the street which wasn’t a big problem to me, sort of white noise drowned out by the second day. However, the second day there was a new group of tourists that arrived and spent a lot of time on the balcony (as they should) but their noise was very audible and quite annoying. You could also easily hear people going up and down the stairs and in adjacent rooms.

GGuest UserI stayed two nights, trying both a triple room and a family room. I found the family room to be larger and more comfortable, with a larger bathroom and washroom. The family room was clean, well-equipped, and the bedding was comfortable. The surroundings were quiet and noise-free, parking was convenient, and the hostess was welcoming and attentive. It was a truly wonderful experience.
