I spent four nights here as a solo traveler, and it was exactly the kind of experience I was looking for. The standout feature is the incredible living area – it's the perfect social engine of the hostel.
The space is intentionally designed to be welcoming and communal. Whether you're having breakfast, planning your day, or just relaxing in the evening, it's incredibly easy to strike up a conversation and meet other solo travelers. I connected with more people here in four days than I have in weeks at other places. The atmosphere is friendly and inclusive, making it ideal if you're traveling alone but don't want to feel lonely.
Beyond the amazing social scene, the hostel was great. The staff were helpful, the dorm was clean and had good lockers, and the location worked well for me.
For a shorter trip, this hostel is a perfect choice. It gives you a comfortable base and, most importantly, an instant community. I left feeling like I’d made genuine connections, not just shared a room.
Highly recommended for any solo traveler who wants a social and friendly atmosphere from day one!
Environment: Great location, convenient transportation.
Facilities: As a youth hostel, it only provides the essentials.
Ambiance: Elegant and thoughtfully decorated.
Service: The front desk staff were very friendly.
My personal take: The location is fantastic. As an international youth hostel, its primary purpose has always been to offer backpackers a platform for exchange and to make new friends. Every youth hostel has its own unique character, and it's not about having perfect services or facilities.
Maybe not the closest location to the center. But it's approximately 20-30 min by metro. Metro is very close.
Hotel strangely marked on maps. But there are big bright hotel name plate, visible from the street.
Managers know english on decent level. If it's important for someone. You could purchase drinks right in the hall.
Beds are soft. There are code-based lockers.
And outside a lot of not rather cheap shops. In the same building there are fresh fruits and vegetables.

This hostel was a pleasant surprise! I had to switch here last minute because I couldn't stand the hygiene at the previous one. The common areas are huge and well-divided, and as soon as you walk in, you're hit with a blast of warmth from the heating. Every little detail shows how much thought was put into it. I even overheard the owner training the staff while I was eating, and I commented on it to my friend. The location is super convenient, just one stop from both Beijing South Station and Daxing Airport, making it incredibly easy to catch trains and flights.
A few small suggestions: The soundproofing in the rooms is a bit weak, so I hope the door between the female-only area and the common area can be quieter. I'd also suggest limiting hairdryer usage, for example, not after midnight. The shower rooms could use more hooks or a waterproof caddy, as just one hook isn't quite enough.
All in all, I'll definitely choose Jingfeng Yuyan again next time I'm in Beijing, and I hope they continue to improve!

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, making it an excellent choice for travelers. There are also many popular tourist spots nearby, and the easy accessibility to all these attractions is one of the best things about this place. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.
This location is prime. It’s walkable distance from PING’ANLI metro exit B and Beihai park.
The community is quiet. The facilities Steveston modern and suitable for seasonal changes. The lounge area is super cute. I really like the birds singing.
The room was cozy. The bed super comfy and the sofa was great for naps.
Rooftop patio is a nice addition. You can see many trees, birds and open skies. It’s a great place over ask.

Place is located quite in the center, much closer to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City as compared to most other hostels of the similar price range. The owner/staff were extremely friendly, they let me check in early and weren't too picky about check out times either. They let me store my luggage for free. They have AC, a free water dispenser and everything you need, however the quality of the hostel is slightly below average. The common area consists of chairs in the hallway where Chinese men sit and smoke. No kitchen either.

- 24 hrs front office staffs with basic English speaking
- Outdoor and indoor common areas
- Softdrinks, beers, snacks, instant noodles for selling
behind the check-in counter
- Using a key card to enter the bedroom
Cons :
- No curtains on bunkbeds, not much privacy
- Need to improve the cleanliness a little bit
- Refrigerator to keep the guests' food is too small

The exterior of the hostel is situated in a lovely Hutong (village street) whilst only being walking distance to forbidden city and Tian’anmen square. The inside reception area and cafe style common area was really nice and staff were very friendly. However they did not offer towels, the bathrooms were rather unclean to say the least and appeared to be covered in mold. Additionally the only hygiene product offered was communal bar soap and the lack of a western toilet (and I do understand here why that is) was really disappointing; however the 15 yuan beer made it all bearable so mixed feelings on this one!

The youth travel I stayed in this time was awesome. I came to Beijing to take the exam and found a random one. It was very quiet and I was away from the subway. The bed was changed for one guest and the sleep was very comfortable. The uncle at the front desk told a lot of knowledge, there are disposable slippers, free hand sanitizer, shampoo, bath, 24 hours hot water. Blower, come back next time, the room is very clean, there are many delicious foods in one basket! Check out, leave the luggage at the front desk until the evening, go directly to Xiqiao to get on the bus!

TTrip5321Have long been a fan of the Orchid and often visit the restaurants co located there - Toast and TBS are favourites. As such, with family visiting the Orchid was the obvious choice!
An amazing location tucked in the Hutongs near the Bell and Drum towers. Both in the surrounding area and venue itself, spoilt for choice for food and restaurants. Room was cosy, clean and beautifully decorated. Two very friendly cats too. Staff genuinely fantastic and went above and beyond throughout our time there - thank you!
The only fault - and reason for ranking amenities lower currently - is that there is significant work taking place at the reception (March 2025). I was aware of this having visited Toast in Feb however, had hoped this would’ve been completed by our stay and was disappointed at still being charged at the full rate given this disruption. In addition to a crowded check in / lack of communal space, this also meant rerouting through the restaurants (and up / down winding stairs), so one to note for anyone with accessibility requirements.
Nevertheless a great stay and hope to be back again soon!

GGuest UserAn Excellent Hub for Business Travel and In-Depth Beijing Exploration!
Choosing the Milean Hotel for my business trip turned out to be an excellent decision, largely thanks to its strategic location which offered immense convenience and was a pleasant surprise. Situated in Sidaokou, the vibrant core of Zhongguancun, it's an absolute godsend for those of us who regularly interact with internet giants. Its proximity to client headquarters dramatically reduced commute times and costs, making business meetings exceptionally easy and efficient.
What's more, the transportation network here is incredibly comprehensive and simply perfect. Whether you're heading to Beijing North Station for high-speed rail or connecting at the Xizhimen transportation hub, both are just a short ride away, ensuring seamless transitions for your onward journey. For tourists keen on exploring the city, it also serves as an ideal base, offering easy access to Haidian District's many tech parks and prestigious universities.
After a busy day, the hotel's comfortable and quiet ambiance provided the perfect retreat. The professionalism and friendliness of the front desk staff also added a significant touch of warmth to my stay. It perfectly marries the efficiency required for business with the convenience sought by travelers. I highly recommend it to all business travelers and tourists looking to explore Beijing efficiently. This truly was an outstanding value-for-money stay!
