Hostels in Beijing, China

Five days in Beijing wasn't enough, and the accommodation was such great value that I extended my stay for another night – very happy with that! The hostel's location is excellent; it's super convenient to get everywhere by bike. Although the room was a bit cramped, the bunk bed facilities were well-equipped and very practical to use.

Environment: Great location, convenient transportation. Facilities: As a youth hostel, it only provides the essentials. Ambiance: Elegant and thoughtfully decorated. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly. My personal take: The location is fantastic. As an international youth hostel, its primary purpose has always been to offer backpackers a platform for exchange and to make new friends. Every youth hostel has its own unique character, and it's not about having perfect services or facilities.

Traveling solo, I didn't want to splurge on a hotel, so I opted for a hostel! I booked a 4-person dorm, but there were only two other ladies, and they were super quiet, haha (I hope my 'special forces' schedule didn't disturb them). It's quite a good deal during the off-season right now, and there are a lot of international guests. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. This is my first time staying in Beijing, and if I come alone again, I'll definitely choose this Shilibao hostel again! (◦˙▽˙◦)

This hostel was a pleasant surprise! I had to switch here last minute because I couldn't stand the hygiene at the previous one. The common areas are huge and well-divided, and as soon as you walk in, you're hit with a blast of warmth from the heating. Every little detail shows how much thought was put into it. I even overheard the owner training the staff while I was eating, and I commented on it to my friend. The location is super convenient, just one stop from both Beijing South Station and Daxing Airport, making it incredibly easy to catch trains and flights. A few small suggestions: The soundproofing in the rooms is a bit weak, so I hope the door between the female-only area and the common area can be quieter. I'd also suggest limiting hairdryer usage, for example, not after midnight. The shower rooms could use more hooks or a waterproof caddy, as just one hook isn't quite enough. All in all, I'll definitely choose Jingfeng Yuyan again next time I'm in Beijing, and I hope they continue to improve!

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, making it an excellent choice for travelers. There are also many popular tourist spots nearby, and the easy accessibility to all these attractions is one of the best things about this place. The staff at the reception were extremely helpful and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

This location is prime. It’s walkable distance from PING’ANLI metro exit B and Beihai park. The community is quiet. The facilities Steveston modern and suitable for seasonal changes. The lounge area is super cute. I really like the birds singing. The room was cozy. The bed super comfy and the sofa was great for naps. Rooftop patio is a nice addition. You can see many trees, birds and open skies. It’s a great place over ask.

Place is located quite in the center, much closer to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City as compared to most other hostels of the similar price range. The owner/staff were extremely friendly, they let me check in early and weren't too picky about check out times either. They let me store my luggage for free. They have AC, a free water dispenser and everything you need, however the quality of the hostel is slightly below average. The common area consists of chairs in the hallway where Chinese men sit and smoke. No kitchen either.

For Beijing, this is a great value hostel. The cleanliness and general environment were quite good, and the soundproofing was also decent. I only stayed for one night, so I can't comment on the long-term experience. However, it's an excellent choice for short trips or as a temporary place while you're transitioning between rentals.

It's a very safe, convenient, and well-located hostel. You can also meet other fellow international travellers to talk or exchange info, which is why prople stay in hostels :) There are effective common areas. There is everything you need - hot water dispenser included :) and staff does their best to be very helpful. 8 mins to subway Line 2, Lama Temple at walking distance, also Chinese eateries, small grocery shops nearby. But if you want to sit in a beautiful room with spotless bathrom, the place is not for you.

It’s called a youth hostel, but it’s more like a homestay. The environment is better than that of ordinary families. As soon as I walked in, I saw the tidy bedroom, spacious and bright living room, and I particularly liked the furniture. The bathroom and kitchen are spotless. There are not many people living here, and their quality is high. It’s very quiet! Living in a place like this is the taste of life! It is economical and comfortable, and much more cost-effective than a hotel.
