Hostels in Chongqing, China

This was my first time staying at a youth hostel, and Chisun gave me an excellent experience. When I went to the front desk to check in, I forgot I was wearing headphones, so I couldn't hear what the guy at Chisun was saying to me. He patiently repeated himself several times and then took me on a tour, introducing me to each area one by one. Chisun is truly amazing! The room was clean and tidy, smelled lovely as soon as I entered, and felt very cozy. They even provided emergency items like a respirator and a flashlight, as well as throat lozenges – super thoughtful! Chisun also offers a makeup room for women, complete with combs, curling irons, and cosmetics... The breakfast was delicious too! Today, when I checked out, the guy at the front desk even gave me a bottle of water to take with me for the journey. Chisun also sent a message to check up on me when I returned to school, which truly touched me! I declare Chisun my 'white moonlight' (a term for someone/something cherished and unforgettable)!!!

After check-in, the lady at the front desk personally showed us to our room, familiarizing us with the facilities. She even put a protective sleeve on my ID card. The little cat inside was adorable! The bed was very comfortable, and the water temperature in the bathroom was just right. All in all, we had a pleasant two-night stay here. The location is very convenient, close to many attractions. The Tushan Temple, recommended by my friend, was truly excellent. At check-out, the lady even gave us a bottle of water. We also got to try the chef's lunch, and the Li Ruo Tao (peach drink) was really delicious! 👍

Saw this recommended on Trip.com, and I really liked the decor, layout, and room style – very chic! It was a new experience for me, and I was curious to try it. The location is super easy to find, close to the subway, right in the bustling Shibati area. Plus, the prosecutor's office is right next door (feels super safe, haha). I was a bit nervous at first, but when I got to the front desk, I was immediately drawn to a 'cat car' (a very well-fed one!). Looking up, the front desk lady had short, slightly curly hair (so cool, my gaydar was pinging! I almost asked if she liked girls but thought it might be too forward). She had a very composed yet gentle and scholarly demeanor. She patiently explained all the hotel's rules and even mentioned they have live music at night (I love that!). Finally, she guided me all the way to my room. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, there was a pleasant, clean, non-overpowering scent. The room itself was immaculate, even the duvet had a subtle fragrance. What surprised me most was that the guestbook was completely full! (The handwriting was all so nice, they should probably get a new one, haha). It reminded me of those old bubble tea shops with walls covered in sticky-note messages. The entries were so varied – some wrote about their experiences, some left blessings, and others recommended local food and attractions. A bit disappointed I didn't see any gossip, though, as I was looking for some tea! All in all, I'm really interested in youth hostels now and this one is definitely on my radar. Highly recommended! (Typical Taurus, I ramble a lot...)

The environment is great and the location is excellent, definitely worth the price. We arrived early and the staff helped us check in ahead of time, and they also offered luggage storage. There are cute dogs and cats. Overall, it was a very good experience, recommended by a friend. If I come to Chongqing again, I'll definitely stay here.

It's quite clean, and their no-smoking policy is exceptionally well-enforced! That's why I'll stay here again; it's even better than some five-star hotels in this regard. The establishment definitely understands the damage and impact of thirdhand smoke on hotel facilities. This 12-person dorm room has no windows. The shared bathrooms are quite clean (they have handheld showers, not overhead rain showers). They have an internet café, billiards, a gym, a study room, and a terrace—everything you need. It's suitable for budget travelers, just for a place to crash at night. I recommend paying a bit more to upgrade to a room with a window. During the off-season, when it's less crowded, the front desk service is pretty good. They might get anxious when it's busy during peak season. All in all, the price is very reasonable. This is the best hostel I've stayed at recently in terms of service and common areas. Since it doesn't have all those fancy bars or trendy restaurants, this simple approach is really great. I'll definitely stay here again. Wishing the hostel continued success!

An apartment on the 12th floor in the city center, close to the metro station. It had only two shared rooms and two bathrooms. The place was very comfortable. I didn't meet the host, but he contacted me via chat, gave me all the information, and provided me with the apartment's access code.

I had originally planned to return to Luzhou two days ago. However, high-speed train tickets were either too expensive or sold out, so I ended up staying in Chongqing for another two days. Luckily, I managed to book a spot at what turned out to be the best youth hostel in Lianglukou. The room environment was excellent, and it even had a private bathroom with the shower and toilet separated. The hostel also offered a great communal lounge where guests could watch TV together, sing, and there were laundry facilities and a designated smoking area. What truly made this place stand out was the owner's fantastic service attitude and their honesty and trustworthiness. Every time I messaged them on WeChat with a query or request, they responded immediately. This is hands down the best youth hostel I've stayed at in Chongqing. If I get the chance to visit Chongqing again, I'll definitely be booking a bed here once more.

The room was clean and tidy, and the cleaning staff came every day. The location is also great; you can catch the subway right outside. It takes several escalators to reach the platform, which really lives up to Chongqing's reputation as a 'mountain city'! The owner was very friendly and helpful. When I first arrived, I couldn't find my way, and they kindly guided me. Excellent service and a really nice person.

Lovely stay here! The rooftop was beautifully decorated and had a great view of the city. It’s located on the 32nd floor right next to the metro station. The vibe of the hostel was super chilled and the owner often put on evening activities. He invited us to drink tea, sing karaoke and even had a fruit party! So welcoming and fun definitely recommend especially for solo travellers.

First off, the location is excellent; it's super close to Jiefangbei, right within the central business district. Secondly, even though I booked an eight-person room, it was really spacious and roomy. The bedding and sheets were very clean. For this price in a commercial area, the facilities are quite good. There's an independent screening room, a dining area, and more. I forgot to take other photos, but the merchant's page basically shows accurate representations of the actual place.
