Hostels in Chongqing, China

This hostel's location is super convenient; it's right by the exit of Xiaoshizi subway station. Downstairs, there's a bustling shopping area, and it's incredibly easy to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Shibati—they're all within walking distance. The owner is incredibly nice, helpful, and very patient. During my trip to Chongqing, I genuinely felt the warmth, hospitality, sincerity, and kindness of the local people everywhere I went. Chongqing truly is a city with warmth, and staying at Yijia Youth Hostel was definitely the right choice. I'll surely be back! I hope to work in Chongqing after graduating from university and revisit Yijia Youth Hostel to retrace my steps from that time!

Ahhhh, Chishan (Eat Mountain) is truly my 'white moonlight' [a cherished, unforgettable place]! This was my first time staying in a hostel, originally recommended by a friend. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was just fantastic! The front desk lady was incredibly enthusiastic, and every meal at Chishan was absolutely delicious 😋. Its location is super convenient – right next to the subway station 🚉. And all the little cats 🐱 are incredibly cute 😻 and so easy to pet! Seriously, if you're coming to Chongqing, choose Chishan for a wonderfully happy trip~~!

Facilities: Pretty good. The common areas could use some improvement, but the room itself, especially the bed, was excellent. The bed was large, spacious, and comfortable. The heating was a bit strong and dry. Storage space was ample and very thoughtful. There's a dedicated hot water room and a vanity room, which is much better than what you'd find at some of the more famous 'eating mountain' (a common way to refer to popular, often older, establishments in China) places. Hygiene: Clean and sanitary. You can tell they put effort into cleaning both the shower and the toilet – very good. Environment: I feel like if the common areas were upgraded a bit, they could easily charge a higher price. For this price, the interior of the room and the bed are truly excellent. Service: Very good. The front desk staff were great, and they even have special flyers detailing their services. Someone guided us and clearly explained the hotel layout.

This hostel offers an excellent experience! The common areas are spacious, and the rooms are clean and tidy. They even have cats and dogs around. What's more, their food recommendations are incredibly reliable, featuring delicious old community eateries. The hostel culture is fantastic too; they show movies in the living room every night and host pub nights on the terrace. The guestbooks are filled up, all four of them! I was a bit bummed not to see a new one, otherwise, I would have loved to write something in it.

Located in the Jiefangbei business district, the surrounding amenities are excellent, and it's convenient to get to various places. You can reach popular attractions like Jiaochangkou, Jiefangbei, and Hongyadong within ten to fifteen minutes. The location is superb, even if Chongqing's hilly terrain makes walking tiring. The hotel environment is good and meets basic accommodation needs, offering excellent value for money with rooms available at various price points. I'd give it a 4.5-star rating, with the missing 0.5 due to my roommate's snoring.

This was my first time visiting Chongqing, and this hostel was my base. I stumbled upon it online, where a couple raved about it being the 'best hostel in Chongqing.' My previous hostel experience was just once, and I remembered it having terrible soundproofing and a poor environment. However, this place completely changed my perception of hostels! It has a huge common area with dining tables, a night bar, a bar with places to chat, a card room, and even a co-working space. The bathrooms are also incredibly spacious – the public restrooms and showers are similar to what I experienced near Incheon Airport in Korea, with individual shower stalls and a vanity area. Everything was very clean and hygienic! Although the rooms are dorms, they felt quite spacious. The bunk beds had ample space, and the wooden frames were high-quality and didn't creak. Surprisingly, the beds were incredibly soft and comfortable... I slept so well! They even provided earplugs and offered pillows of different heights to accommodate various preferences. Even with the price increase during the Spring Festival, it was still very affordable! I really appreciate the small details of this hostel ❤️. When I checked in, the front desk even gave me a small red envelope with some cute local goodies inside! The staff were all handsome and beautiful, and very nice 👍🏻. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chongqing, and if they open one in Chengdu, I'll be there!

I had a very pleasant stay. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the facilities were great. Everything was well organized, which made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place to others and stay here again.

I had a wonderful time at this hotel; the spacious and warmly decorated rooms made me feel extremely comfortable, and the bedding was also very comfortable, allowing me to sleep soundly through the night. The service at the hotel was also excellent; Qian Duoduo went out of his way to help answer questions and provide assistance, so overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a good stay! Pc: This stay is walking distance to metro station, bus stop is right in front and all the main tourist places are within 15-20 minutes distance.

The decor, facilities, and style are excellent, though the ventilation could be better. The common areas have great facilities, and there are even cats you can pet. Located on the third floor, there are noodle shops, breakfast spots, and Maocai restaurants right downstairs. Many international travelers also stay here. Oh, and they also have a communal kitchen, which I found to be a really nice touch.

A zen place in a busy city. This hostel is very special, you can directly feel that the owner put all his heart and passion to create this place. All the roofs are the best way to observe the city from above. I felt like home in that cozy place, the owner his super friendly, and will welcome you with some very good tea. Thanks for this time ✨️
