We stayed at Hatten Hotel in Malacca and found it super convenient—right in the middle of everything, from shopping malls to historical spots. Our room was spacious and comfy, with great views over the harbour . The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good, and the rooftop bar was a real highlight—fabulous city views at sunset to end the day and great views at night. We found the staff and service very responsive. Great spot for a short city break and good value for money.

The room was comfortable with good amenities provided. The service at the reception was also excellent. However, the noise from the upper floors was excessive and very disturbing. I stayed on the ground floor, but the loud sounds of people moving furniture, hammering, and knocking on walls were disruptive. Additionally, the bathroom light was not working, making the bathroom dim and unpleasant. The TV couldn’t connect properly due to the intermittent Wi-Fi, which kept disconnecting. Since I was only staying for one night, I didn’t bother calling customer service. On the bright side, the breakfast was really good, with a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, it was an okay stay.

Breakfast was well-organized despite the long queues during peak season, ensuring a smooth flow for guests. The food tasted good, though there’s room for improvement. My only suggestion would be to adjust the coffee machine’s ratio of coffee to milk, as the coffee was too creamy and lacked a strong flavor. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would recommend this hotel for its excellent service and comfortable accommodations.

Hotel was nice. But sadly we were not able to try the VR room at all. It’s open for very limited hours and when we tried to go during the time stated, they disallowed entry as they mentioned they close early due to Ramadan. As mine was a one night stay, on the day we were leaving, the WIFI was down for the whole hotel and again we were unable to utilise our free credits for the VR room. They could not get the WIFI issue fixed before we checked out and disappointingly we had to leave without experiencing the VR room. All the staff could do was apologise and no compensation given. 🥹

Cons: Confusing elevator system – The hotel elevators are only accessible from the Ground Floor, which can be confusing as the nearby Swiss Garden Hotel has its own elevators. Inconvenient parking access – Parking is available on levels 7 and 8, but only the 7th floor has direct access to The Shore Lobby. From there, guests need to take another elevator to reach the hotel rooms, which can be a hassle. Online delivery issues – Tried ordering food online, but the location pin wasn’t working properly, possibly due to internet connectivity issues, making it difficult to place an order.

Below are my overall feedback on the hotel based on my ranking from worst to best: 1. The parking area is cramped in space and no elevator, there is a link bridge but on level 3 only. You may unload your stuffs on lobby for the hotel staffs to help you out 2. The shower area is dangerous that could lead to an accident/injury, i bumped my elbow to the concrete slab and it’s very hazardous 3. The air conditioner takes about 2 hours to cool down the room completely, you may check in early by requesting with the hotel based on availability basis 4. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful 5. The hotel location is well strategic

My partner high recommended this hotel cause she stayed here before. And My personal experience I find the service were good from the reception, security guard, housekeeping and a guy at gym v friendly , Chef, F&B team very energetic v welcoming u to bfast. Person who delivered meal to our room also v friendly. However, some awful experienced at first room assigned room 2002 AC not cold and v bad sewage the moment you open the entrance door. We asked for room move then to 2703 the moment we entered overpowering of air freshener was sprayed follow by we saw the sofa have a big round stained and a debris on the floor so I immediately told the bellman unacceptable but it was too late we decided to stay. On Sat 2nd night at wee hour of 12 midnight, my room was on Do Not Disturb sign on and staff still knocking on my door for few times to deliver something for we have not asked for. We got a shocked of our life from the Big Bang knocked and call the operator…. And he said sorry… worse experience ever. My partner got very scared and got migraines after. Do not invade or ignore people privacy sign. Overall our stay was a OK even though with few incidents happened.

Worth the money spent. We attended a kenduri and chose to stay here with a couple of other families. The room was quite spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly. There were plenty of kedai makan near the hotel. There was also a Food Festival during our stay, so parking was limited. Overall, we were satisfied.

Stay here few days still can considered ok.tv got few channel but i think they just on the extra channel from friday to weekends only.because in weekday only got 3-4 local channel only.toiletries include toothbrush set is provided.water flow is good but for water heater early in the morning is not hot.aircond function.bathroom exhaust fan also working and this is important thing for bathroom.because most of hotel this thing are not function.for praying you need to bring your own sejadah.but the room i stay got carpet.iron can request at the counter.hair dryer provided in the room.the towel is clean.bed sheet and blankets also clean.as usual only 2 pillow provided.maybe management should improve on the room door.because it is so loud,because you cannot close it on normal way.this hotel don't have their own cafe.but around hotel got a lot of restaurant but mostly chinese food.but if you own a car that should be no problem.if not grab also easy to get.laundry shop got 2 near the hotel.all room have window but my room cannot open the window.not sure why you need to screw the window.sometimes we need some fresh air too,thats why we choose room with window.i notice bathroom wall actually can see through from bedroom but they already put wallpaper.but still the light from the bathroom can go through the wallpaper.for those that can sleep with light maybe no problem.for bathroom maybe can improve the cleanliness,especially the wall.this is the common problem for some hotel.

Booking and checking in was handed well. However you have to carry all your bags by yourself to the room. Room was nice, spacious and clean. All basic facilities are available. I was given Block 1 room 1607, Nice view of the golf course and hill in the background from the balcony. 2 queen size bed were comfortable, good sleep quality.

Come here for business trip during public holiday, glad that managed to find hotel at this peak season, thank you for the helpful hotel staffs

Love to have a longer stay here. If only the place was clean n freshen up. Stuffy smell still lingers around the room perhaps due to long it was not been use especially during Covid. Lucky we always bought our travel humidifier thus that solves the issue. Food for breakfast just the basic for rm18 for kids the cost is too much for the serving they have to offer. The staffs were friendly and helpfull thumbs up for that. Give it some time to brush up the entire place it will be good as before. Will still come back for more stay at Philea despite the flaws...

The hotel area is easy to go out on a street to find food in Melaka.

Spacious room with additional 1 single bed. really exceed our expectation. big bathroom, we were really satisfied with the accomodation. dinner and breakfast provided in the room rate. Please join all free activities and amenities provided at this resort such as morning/night safari walk, movie watching, gym/library/swimming pool.
