"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Charlemagne By HappyCulture in Lyon! Everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with spacious rooms and a peaceful atmosphere — a real plus in the city center. The location is perfect: just steps away from the Perrache station, tram and metro stops, and within easy walking distance to the old town and the riverside. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they kindly allowed us to check in early at no extra cost. Breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value and a perfect base for exploring Lyon. We’ll definitely stay here again on our next visit!"

Mainly use the C13 route to go to multiple attractions, the back and forth station is just outside the hotel. From the airport, take Rhonexpress to the terminal, the whole journey takes less than 30 minutes, and then less than 10 minutes to reach the hotel.

Go to Westfield Mall for 12 minutes on foot or take 2 stops on the C13 line. The mall has Carrefour super, and there is food court on the top floor. The restaurant generally closes later than the store, and friends who arrive late can still go to the mall restaurant to eat."

"The Pullman Hotel boasts an excellent location, offering incredibly convenient train access to the surrounding areas of Lyon. Right across the street is the large Westfild mall, complete with a Carrefour, fast-food restaurants, and various shops. The rooms are spacious, with separate wet and dry areas, and are spotlessly clean and well-equipped. What really stood out was the reception staff, who were all very friendly and welcoming. One male front desk attendant was particularly helpful when I asked for directions to some lesser-known attractions; he eagerly looked up the routes online for me. The room's lighting controls were quite innovative, and when I couldn't figure them out on the first night, he personally came up to my room the next day to demonstrate them. This made me feel truly at home. Many thanks to Pullman for such a wonderful experience."

"The cleanliness was not satisfactory — I found dirty shoe prints and someone else’s hair in the bathtub. I reported the issue to the front desk and requested a room change, but they told me there were no available rooms that night and asked me to handle it myself.
The location is average, not very close to the city center.
The positive side is that the hotel is very quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the gym is quite good."

"The hotel was very comfortable, the room was very simple, but it was very comfortable, the spacious bathroom was also with a great shower, the place was moved at night, so it could be a little noise, but it didn't bother us. The location is good, walking you can know a lot of things, paying parking, at that time we can stop the car on the street, but it's paying area, so be careful about the timetables. The location is not central , but it is the final and the bus is holly.
Our windows were with a beautiful view on the river - thank you very much reception that went to the meeting and gave us a room with the view as we asked.

DDoubleyouilliamSome places are simply unlike anything else, la Suite de l'Île Barbe is one of them. Tucked away on a small island in the middle of the Saône, it feels completely removed from the city despite being just minutes from Lyon. We stayed for a romantic weekend and it exceeded every expectation.
The setting is extraordinary. Waking up surrounded by water and greenery, with nothing but birdsong and the gentle sound of the river, is something you won't find in a conventional hotel. It genuinely feels like you've escaped to another world.

GGuest UserReally liked it because of the heater! The room had no tea pod nor fridge. For hot water to drink you need to go to the breakfast room, which is in another building. My room was kinda smelly, not sure about the source as everything was clean and tidy. Bearable, but I’d prefer it withou smell. Water from bathroom shower pours on the room floor even if you are try not to spray it much. Also might be a bit noisy, but I was fortunate to have neighbours that are not active at night and in the morning.
Would recommend considering all this possible inconvenience

GGuest UserThe location is OK, next to the transportation hub of Perrache. It takes about five minutes from getting off the subway to walking into the hotel. It's not bad if you have big luggage to carry, as you don't have to walk much in the subway station.
The hotel itself, as others have said, is nothing. But it is also possible to turn the cost savings into more favorable housing prices.
There is no resteraunt in the hotel itself, but there is a restaurant next door.
Next to him is the greet hotel, a competitor
Lyon itself is not very big, it feels like a third-tier city in China, so it is still very convenient to live here.

It is located very close to a metro station (Monplaisir - Lumiere, green line) so the city centre can be reached easily. The price was very good too. GGuest UserWe arrived at 10 a.m. to deposit our luggage and enjoy Lyon before the scheduled check-in at 15h. The hotel, very beautiful and easily accessible from the city centre in transport, offers drinks available in the hall a good point. However, at our return at 15:00, the glasses we used in the morning were still there, which indicates a certain lack of attention to service and cleanliness.
Another surprise point: the toilets available in the hall were not provided in wallpapers at 10h, and this was still not corrected at 15h.
The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. The noise of the screener made this moment particularly unpleasant. It is surprising that such a interview was scheduled after 15:00, while it could be held between 10:00 and 15:00, period without clients in the rooms.

Those who mind this detail should consider it carefully. Otherwise, it's a very comfortable and pleasant hotel.

However the listing was indicating the wrong location: this is not located at bellecourt 5 but in the old town. And the entry code didn’t work, host difficult to reach… in the end it worked out well but it was not the best experience. Maybe you will have better luck :)
