"Hotel Vabec is in a fantastic location, right by the river. It's very close to both bus and metro stations, and the surrounding area is quiet and feels very safe. Getting to various attractions and restaurants from the hotel is also incredibly convenient. The rooms are a bit small, but the overall vibe is very cozy. The front desk staff are warm, friendly, and professional. My only minor regret is that there's no mini-fridge in the room, which makes it inconvenient for storing cold food, and there's no kettle either."

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is convenient, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and supermarkets. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"Sorry, I really feel bad. The room faces the main road and it was very noisy the whole night. The bathroom is really too small. There is a bathing place in front of the toilet. I didn't sleep very well the whole night.
This photo is of the breakfast place. I think the layout on the first floor is pretty good and the front desk service attitude is good."

"Nice place, good location, very nice garden and spa
However the listing was indicating the wrong location: this is not located at bellecourt 5 but in the old town. And the entry code didn’t work, host difficult to reach… in the end it worked out well but it was not the best experience. Maybe you will have better luck :)"

"The accommodation feels a bit smaller than the photos suggest. However, the location is fantastic! It isn't right in the city center of Lyon, but for the price, a subway line that takes you to the city center is just a 5-minute walk away, and since the surroundings consist of apartment complexes, it feels relatively safe. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning."

"Oda aşırı ufaktı. Dolap yoktu öyle açıkta 2 askı vardı. Fön makinesi, kettle, cam bardak vs… yoktu.

"To the center on foot about an hour, but close to the metro. Free baggage was taken for storage, but previously settlement was only for 15 euros. The room itself is dark, old, there is no fan. Breakfast is normal, can be eaten, but the choice is modest. Personnel is welcome, but more than one night I wouldn't want to stay there"

"Excellent location, in the centre next to the most important l9 and the restaurants. Between the two rivers. Incredible views from the room to the theater of Lyon. The room was very small. The floor was inclined. I don't understand how the coat is a square because every time you move you get out of it and very low. There is a breakfast option for €8 more that is paid there consisting of coffee or infusion, a baguette, a crusant and butter, marmelade, nuts ... deserves the value because food in Lyon is hyper expensive."

The furniture is small, but the room looks big. The washbasin is super small. It is very close to the train station, and the transportation is very convenient. The soundproofing is good, and there are two layers of windows. There is a railway track outside the window, so it doesn't feel like anything. I am quite satisfied with the room. The price I booked that day was relatively low.

The third time in this hotel. It is minimalist in comfort (no teapots, refrigerators in the rooms), but very good location, friendly staff. The room is warm, clean, view from the window to beautiful houses. Around the shops and cafes, the metro is nearby.

Guest UserSolid hostel with clean facilities and a nice atmosphere.
The shower in my room was super powerful, which meant that when you turned it on, it would shoot up into the air because the holder wasn’t screwed in properly/tight enough to withstand the force of the water. I told reception but I don’t think he fully understood what I meant because he told me someone would fix it and it was never fixed.
If you’re in a top bunk, it’s hard to get in and out of because of the metal bars in the way.
The only reason I’ve rated the location quite low is because it is up a hill, and I was there during a heatwave so that made the hill worse. I’m sure normally it’s ok, but in 40 degree heat with a backpack it was hard.
The AC was also super weak and I’d find myself waking up throughout the night sweating. But at least they had some AC because I’ve been in hostels that haven’t lol.
Their washing machines are pretty cheap (around 3.5 euros) and automatically dispense detergent.

This hotel was good for short stay with all basic needs such as shower, bed, sink, kettle and mini-shove, just no hair drier. Hotel staff was nice and friendly. However, it is worth to mention that there is no suitcase storage in the hotel.
In terms of location, although this hotel is sitting next to an education Center and the main road with busy traffic, evening was quiet enough for some quality sleep. When considering it is just 5 min walk from Gorge Dr Loup Station, the location is ok.

a.b.7Staff was super friendly and this is the only hostel I stay where the staff walk me up to the room and explain everything. If you have research where the location of this hostel, you will know the hostel is located on the top of hill. So definitely a battle if you have big luggage..the selling point of this hostel would be enjoying the view from the terrace. Overall the place is clean just the facility bit old for the toilet. I think they really should be doing some upgrading and some tlc for the room.(Some of the curtain are already wear and tear) The location up the hill I think a plus point for me as I take it as an exercise after having stuff myself with so much foods and with rewarding views.
