"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this booking was very disappointing and quite uncomfortable. Although the location was good and the room was clean, we did not look forward to returning to the hotel each night and I would not consider staying here again. The room felt dark and claustrophobic and did not even have drawers big enough to put clothes in. For those wanting to work at the little desk, the chair and limited electricity outlets would have made it very difficult. Although we chose not to have the breakfast, the patio seemed nice. The lobby barely had space to stand in. Although I have learned that the French star system is quite basic, note that in many parts of the world, this would never be considered a four star hotel."

Very convenient location, just few minutes from Gare de Perrache. What I love the most is the breakfast. It comes with good selection of cheese, cold cuts, fresh fruits, hot food, pastries and more.
I think this is is our hotel to stay whenever we visit to Lyon."

"The chosen room class is more ideal than expected. The facilities and facilities are satisfactory. The room is spacious. "Excellent hotel. The day cost $82. Booked less than a week.
The location is not central , but it is the final and the bus is holly.
Our windows were with a beautiful view on the river - thank you very much reception that went to the meeting and gave us a room with the view as we asked.
The number is small, but for one night the most.
Everything is clean and stylish. I liked hooks with hangers.
The transparent toilet is certainly scary !
In general - all well , all questions to designers.
I would like to note that you have left things with passports and money for storage on the resepshne - all in value and safety ! Thank you to honest staff"

"The location of the hotel is quite convenient, close to Guillotiere on Tramway Line 1, and it takes three or four minutes to walk. There is also a No. 12 bus to Bellecour. The room and bathroom are of good size, the hotel is clean, and the environment is not bad. Please note that there is no safe in the room, no luggage rack, there is a kettle, but no spoon, the cups are all disposable paper cups, and there is no tissue in the room, which is not very convenient. I live on the fourth floor, and there are several steps on both sides of the room, and I need to lift the luggage up, which is not very convenient (the last two pictures). The front desk service of the hotel is quite satisfactory. They are relatively young, so they probably don’t know how to communicate with guests better, but as long as you ask questions, they will answer you. For example, when checking in, the front desk forgot to tell me the hotel WIFI password and how to call the front desk. There was no instructions in the room, so I had to go downstairs to the front desk to ask. Others are OK."

The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with amenities, and I was very satisfied.
The staff at the reception were kind, and when they realized we were tourists, they kindly showed us recommended sightseeing spots and explained how to get around using a railway map.
The next day, a staff member who spoke Japanese assisted us, which made me very happy.
Thanks to this hotel, we truly enjoyed our stay in Lyon.
I would love to stay here again when I visit Lyon next time.

GGuest UserI was very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we encountered a few not very friendly staff at the reception. They didn’t do anything in particular that we would consider rude - but they just had a cold attitude. Some of their staff seem to have treated other guests a little differently for instance walking them to the lift and giving them more information about the hotel. This really impacted our experience at the hotel. However, I must say many of their staff were amazing, just a handful that were very cold and dismissive and this is not the level of hospitality you would expect from such a renowned hotel.
The room also looked and felt quite different than what is shown on trip.com and their official website.
I would still highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Lyon!

I was feeling unwell for the majority of my stay but I can still pick up on care and attention from staff when I am unwell in fact their probably ought to have been more. More function that funk! Likely not to stay again when in Lyon and to add, bad reviews are rare from me as you will see from my passed reviews. I didn't even feel like saying thank you. Very unlike me.

GGuest UserThere is nothing in the room. You need to bring your own slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and towels. The location is a bit strange. I left early the next morning and wanted to ask the hotel if they could pack bread. The attitude of the guy at the front desk was rather perfunctory. It was not my business and I had no idea. The advance payment was forcibly deducted and has not been returned yet. I am so scared!

GGuest UserWe stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour.
The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer.
The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day.
We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

蒋蒋A family of three, the executive three-person room booked two days in advance, the standard room plus a sofa bed at the time of check-in, the most important thing is that there is no quilt and pillow on the sofa bed! And all the toiletries are for two people. After negotiating with the front desk, I said that I am embarrassed to clean up the mistakes. Then I found a circle and said that I was too embarrassed to be quilted. I can only use the spare blanket in the cabinet! We asked for two sheets to look for. The attitude of the younger brother is good, but it is helpless, and we are speechless. In addition, the room had a pungent taste of decoration (or the smell of carpet cleaner) and opened a night window. Experience the worst hotel on this trip!

GGuest UserGreat location, 5min walk to the station, there’s a nice restaurant next door as well as a small shop to buy any last minute toiletries or snacks and drinks.
The room itself was good, small bathroom but the beds were comfy and it just does the job.
Would stay again if I visit Lyon again.
