"We are couple from Hong Kong. We found the location of hotel is excellent. All the staffs of receptionist counter are very helpful, nice & wih good attitude. They all willing & can give us valuable tourist information. Special thanks to Miss 吳， the Manager. She is outstanding. Also, the ladies of housekeeping also provided us high standard services. Just one thing to improve. The setting of cleaning stuffs such as bath oil, shampoo & condition are not user friendly. We don't have energy to press the bottle. "First of all, the hotel is in a good location. There is a park opposite, so you can go for a walk in the morning and evening. The street next to it is a snack street, and there are many lively restaurants. We had dinner on this street, which was delicious and affordable. The underground parking lot is also convenient for parking.
Secondly, the hotel service is very good. The front desk upgraded the room. When I went to the restaurant to ask about dining, the explanation was very detailed and recommended the restaurant next to the snack street. There was service soon after I put down the phone when I needed it. It was efficient, and the lobby manager was also remarkable.
Finally, let’s talk about breakfast. There are still many varieties, especially the local flavors such as black rice, lily soup, and bamboo shoots. "An unexpectedly delightful surprise of a hotel! It's like finding a rare hidden gem in a blind box!
We drove to Yixing for a summer weekend and checked in around 5 PM with no queue. Interestingly, when we checked out around noon on Sunday, the check-in area was bustling with a huge crowd. Even though it was peak season and quite busy, both Yaohu Town and the hotel grounds are very spacious, so our overall experience remained excellent.
Driving in, the underground parking is located at the exhibition center directly in front of the hotel, and they offer a convenient shuttle service to and from the hotel entrance.
Our room's balcony faced the town, with the swimming pool just opposite. We had a perfect view of the evening water and fireworks shows right from our room.
The minibar was complimentary, and we were even welcomed with a fruit platter. Both the refrigerator and air conditioning worked perfectly, and having two sinks in the bathroom was a great convenience.
In the evening, we took a pleasant stroll around the town. It wasn't hot, with a refreshing breeze, which was lovely. There were performances, some shops to browse, and a unique 'fish scale dam' area perfect for splashing around.
We were a bit concerned about breakfast being overcrowded during the summer peak, but even arriving at 9 AM, we found plenty of open tables. The food was consistently replenished, plates were cleared promptly, and the ingredients were fresh. There was a wide variety of dishes, including Yixing's distinctive black glutinous rice, which you could use to make your own 'black rice fritter wraps'.
Due to time constraints, we didn't get to visit the water park, but it looked incredibly fun. With a swimsuit and a float, you could easily spend half a day there.
We also had our child try Zisha pottery making. It cost 88 RMB to create one piece, and an additional 68 RMB for firing and shipping it home. It was a really interesting and unique experience!"

"When booking, I chose this hotel because the rooms have a common area, which is perfect for friends traveling together to hang out after dinner. Upon checking in, I found that not only the rooms but also the balconies, restaurant, and hallways were all very spacious. Our butler, Tiffany, was also very thoughtful. Since we were two families traveling together, she proactively helped us swap the complimentary dinner dishes after check-in. And to our surprise, the hotel restaurant's set meal was incredibly delicious, completely exceeding our expectations! Tiffany also reminded us daily about various important things. "I visited Yaohu Town during off-peak season, and I'm especially grateful to my housekeeper, Wanwan, for providing detailed parking location information and upgrading me to a room at the Yaohu Grand Hotel. She also thoughtfully explained the town's activity schedule, and I saw both the water fountain and fireworks shows. The hotel fee included breakfast and admission to Yaohu Town. You can walk to the town or take a shuttle bus from the hotel to the visitor center (the starting point of the A line mini-train). I recommend the 30 RMB mini-train, a slow 20-minute ride that offers a different perspective of Yaohu Town and the hotel. The hotel room was clean, super spacious, with an exceptionally large king-size bed. The bathroom had double sinks, was clean and quite new, and the toiletries smelled wonderful. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and they even gave me homemade cookies when I left, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast restaurant offered a variety of Chinese and Western options in a spacious setting. The hotel provided directions to the breakfast restaurant to avoid getting lost. If you're visiting Yaohu Town, staying overnight is definitely worthwhile. Evening strolls were pleasant, and daytime photography was great."

It was cured as soon as I entered the door! The room was bright and warm, like living in a sun room. It was the first time I lived in a bed and breakfast with floor heating. It was not cold at all in winter. It was warm and comfortable on the floor with bare feet.
Love that small balcony the most! In the evening, I nested there and read a book. I feel that this is not the ideal life for our i people. The weather is good, we will go to Taihu Lake, watch the sparkling, and chase a seasonally limited red-billed lizard flying over, feeling light and comfortable physically and mentally. Any troubles will fly away in an instant.
Don't worry about eating! A few steps away is Zhuli Commercial Street. Several restaurants here are super delicious, especially the wontons. We almost all eat very satisfied. In the evening, we walked by the Taihu Lake and watched the sunset. The heart was completely healed.
The housekeeper sister is also super caring. Every day, the room is clean and tidy. Even the scattered clothes are quietly folded. It is really warm to my heart.

But the only fly in the ointment is that the experience of the service team seems to be insufficient. Although remain polite and welcoming during the process. But it often seems that we are not sensitive enough or proactive enough about our guests' needs.
When checking in, I was told that the service staff would need to operate the jacuzzi to take a bath (this facility is actually quite good). But at night, there was a situation where the staff could not be contacted regardless of WeChat or landline. In the end, I had to randomly arrest people downstairs to solve the problem.
Moreover, the ”travel photography service” clearly displayed in the room or the handmade experience, free coffee and other services that are included in the price when booking are not provided. In fact, it is understandable that many B&Bs have this kind of exaggerated promotion to attract traffic, but it is still rare to see that there is not a single word from the beginning to the end.
When I finally checked out, the front desk staff almost accepted the room card without saying a word. Nowadays, ordinary business hotels are not so rude.
Regardless, I was impressed with the hotel's facilities, setting, and beautiful pool. But as a hotel priced around 2,000 a night (in fact, it has reached or even exceeded the level of some luxury hotels).
