"Hotel El Paso is close to the park. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant selection is quite extensive, but having only 1 hour for dinner or 40 minutes for breakfast is not enough, especially if you are going with children. There are also long queues to get hot food, so I didn't like that at all. However, it is worth it if you spend two days in the park."

"Regarding the facilities, I have to say that the showers in the rooms are terrible, even though everything is very new. The showers are ridiculous and the hot water doesn't work very well. Another thing I didn't like is the spa. In the spa pool, only two types of jets worked, the other ones didn't... terrible."

"The service at the great reception, at the buffet breakfast was not so good, the girl we asked if please could make some tortillas we were looking would be and when we told her that there was no hot milk to put to coffee in the buffet I also looked at us very seriously and answered us quite dry, the other girl and the boy though very sympathetic. The room was not quite good, there were screws on the floor that had not been fresh and a lot of dust above the desk light.The location is great and the hotel is very beautiful."

"Before we went, we didn't expect it to be so crowded. It felt like everyone in Europe had flocked to PortAventura. The hotel included free tickets to PortAventura and Ferrari World, and the price included breakfast and dinner, making it a great value. The hotel is like a resort, scattered around the lobby, offering quite a bit of privacy. There are two large, shallow pools, perfect for the kids to play in. We drank at the adjacent restaurant and bar. The first floor room was the best, with a small terrace right out the door and close to the pool. We stayed there for two nights and it was quite nice. The hotel is a little far from the park, but we found a small path that led us there. The park is huge, with lots of rides and a fun roller coaster, but it can be a bit crowded. The park doesn't provide any bottled water, and we couldn't drink their tap water. The water in Europe is very hard, and a 330ml bottle of water cost 3 euros, which is quite expensive. Check-in is until 3 p.m., and there's no free luggage storage; you have to pay for your own luggage."

"40 minutos antes de la hora de salida entró una limpiadora en nuestra habitación sin preguntar si había nadie ni llamar a la puerta. Me parece una falta de respeto total, yo aún estaba a medio vestir. Por lo demás perfecto, comida bien, instalaciones también, limpieza bien aunque si había algunas manchas naranjas en el bidet que frotando con el dedo salían, cosa que indica que no lo han limpiado muy a fondo... También, es un hotel familiar, lleno de niños. La piscina obviamente llena de niños también, si tienes hijos es buen sitio, si no puede agobiar un poco."

"Great option to stay if you want to visit Port Aventura amusement park.
Staying for the night at the hotel will grant you access to the park on both days, the check-in and the check-out.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, for a good rest after spending the day at the park.
The swimming pool is also amazing, big and beautiful, it is an adventure in itself.
Only issue is the service: you can feel that the staff do their best, however during peak season, they are so busy that for sure you will have to line up in order to get anything done. They are moving ahead and making moves for automatic self-service processes: like self- check out, but still is not enough. You gotta then have some patience and wait until your turn comes."

The downside was as it wasn’t very sunny there wasn’t a lot to do in the hotel itself during the day.
The single jacuzzi was always full and the indoor pool was freezing!
Also although the gym had a couple of nice machines there were very few (nothing for triceps or biceps) and no free weights.
I probably would go for a more adult oriented hotel in Salou next time but if these things don’t matter to you I would definitely recommend staying here!

SSulleyAWow. What can I say? This hotel is beautiful. Very close to the amusement parks, beautiful hotel. I was very pleased with the hotel staff and the services offered. I went all inclusive, breakfast was amazing so much to choose from, lunch I had within the park which was delicious and dinner was also good. Definitely recommend the hotel, will book again for next year for sure.

SSulleyACan’t recommend this hotel enough, location , staff and service was amazing. It is abit on a hill, but this didn’t bother me at all. I had the breakfast included and was so pleased, so much to choose from! Staff were super friendly and room was cleaned daily. I did not have the sea view but had a lovely view of palm trees from my room which always had a nice breeze coming. Loved every bit and will most likely stay here again when I visit Salou. Thanks for amazing service 4R Playa Park Hotel.

GGuest UserOn arrival the holiday centre was as photographed on the website, fresh, bright, airy and modernised. Apartments are spacious with 2 wide single beds pushed together in the main room which leads off on to an exceptionally generous size balcony. Plenty of room for kids to play, loungers and table and chairs etc. the bed in the hallway (pull down from wall) was comfy and great for my 9 year old son. The livingroom couches were also single beds and of good quality and wide enough, seem some very slim, thin ones before - these were very comfy although never slept in by us as my daughter had a cot.
Check in and out was seamless but be aware a deposit is taken (around £10 per night and given back at end of apartment is left satisfactory) so factor this in to your spends needed initially.
The thing that stood out for us as a family was the lovely man and his assistants who ran the kids club, entertainment, pool games and really engaged with the children despite his obviously long days. They are a credit to the hotel and I don’t think it would attract as many families if this small but important team weren’t on board - my son Jacob loved kids club and made some great friends for the week.
Now is still recommend this hotel with given some recommendations to change things. The hotel caters to very large, roudy crowds of preteens/teens on school holiday stays. They are chaotic and woke our toddler several times, running through corridors screaming, taking up lift where pushchairs and wheelchair users should have priority and teens/groups managed more carefully as they would be if from anywhere else. Called to reception to complain and inform but was pretty much brushed off as they’re excited. Just not great for the rest of us also wanting to enjoy our apartment, sleep and have children. We waited an incredibly long time with 20-30 teens in front of us. I called down to reception one evening as they were shouting, banging and screaming in the halls. Some hotels do not cater to exceptionally large groups for this reason, especially when catering to family holidays also - I’d only stay again if I knew there was no large groups such as this booked to stay. We only ate breakfast the last morning as we preferred to go out to dinners etc as a social thing in the evenings with the children as we don’t drink alcohol much when have young children with us. Food was as expected in hotels, nothing bad to note and plenty of options which are the norm.
If you like quiet this hotel might not be for you. Po. Kew is loud due to entertainment although this didn’t bother us with it stopping at 11pm but the ‘quieter’ side facing out to the road/side was filled with already mentioned large groups of teens shouting back and forth to each other continually. Highly recommend checking if these school trips are on when booking if you like a quiet, relaxed family holiday (most of us do when we have young children).
All in all the hotel is great location, good sized rooms and entertainment for much younger children but would be put off returning due to the issues mentioned.

GGuest UserThe very nice and comfortable rooms, the hotel was fine, some roommates more nice than others but the food from the restaurant frozen and quite bad for what they charge you, except you ask Coca Cola or Fanta and bring you the drink already served The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The buffet was only breakfast and a little small, besides having to make enough row to get in because the dining room is not big enough to cover so many people. The pool is fine, but there is no kind of organization with the hams, each puts it where it wants when it wants and it is a little disaster.
