The ibis Cambridge Central Station is a modern hotel in the heart of the city. Cambridge train station is within walking distance, with services to London in 50 minutes and Stansted Airport in 30. Step out and explore the University of Cambridge, including King's College Chapel, Trinity, the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Botanic Garden. Our convenient location means the city's historic architecture and River Cam are on our doorstep. Many of Cambridge's best restaurants and bars are also within easy reach.

"The room was really small, quite tiny actually, but it was perfectly adequate. Its location right by the train station is super convenient – literally a 2-minute walk. There's a Sainsburys Local and a sushi place right outside. The hotel itself has a bar called Chill on the ground floor. I didn't try their meals, just a cake and hot chocolate, which I wouldn't recommend as the cake was quite dry around the edges. There's a decent Indian restaurant within a short walk nearby. If you head towards the city center, it's a 10-15 minute walk with restaurants all along the way. I was actually surprised to find a hand-pulled beef noodle shop, and even places specializing in malatang and roujiamo! Overall, I had a great impression of Cambridge!"

For a day out, explore Cambridge University or join students to go punting on the River Cam. The vintage planes at the nearby Imperial War Museum Duxford are great for the family. After a busy day, relax in the open plan lounge with a drink from the bar and a bite to eat. In the morning, set yourself up with a coffee and bacon bap from the free buffet breakfast. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in our own restaurant and bar, where kids under 13 eat free.

"A lovely hotel with proper breakfast but the drawback is the size of room being a bit small which made our 3 luggages hard to store. Overall it was manageable as we only stayed for 1 night. The free parking provision is a great advantage!"

The Novotel Cambridge is perfectly positioned for both work and leisure. Close to Cambridge North train station and Cambridge science and business parks, professional trips are a breeze for guests staying here. This new Novotel is less than an hour from Central London and just five minutes by train from the excitement of Cambridge city centre. World-class conference facilities make the Novotel Cambridge an excellent choice for professional events, with rooms and suites available to suit every budget.

"Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly, so nothing ever felt picked over. Location-wise, it’s just a 4-minute walk from Cambridge North train station, which makes getting in and out incredibly easy. The connections are excellent, and having a Co-op right opposite is really convenient - especially since the hotel itself is a bit removed from other shops and amenities. Overall, a comfortable and well-run stay, particularly if you’re travelling by train or need a quieter base just outside the city."

"The hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there was no phone signal in the hotel, so I relied entirely on Wi-Fi – though mobile network coverage across the UK isn't great in general."

"Perfect little place to stay at a great price. Scrupulously clean, friendly staff, free parking, and including a tasty breakfast..... and only a 20 min straight walk to the town centre. Can't fault this hotel except the roomy bed was maybe a bit hard for us. Apart from that, perfect. Would definitely stay again, and highly recommend!"

"The hotel is a very beautiful manor in the suburbs about 10km from Cambridge. There should be cows and sheep on the grassland in summer. I was attracted by other people's beautiful pictures when I made the reservation. After I checked in, I found it was really good, but I had to drive by myself and check in for free. The room was remodeled from the original dormitory, not quite but adequate, no air conditioning, slightly colder, breakfast quality is good, the environment is first-rate, it is recommended"

The location is a bit out of the way, but we stumbled upon the beautiful Cambridge countryside trying to find it. Actually, it's a short taxi ride from the city center."

"I stayed in Holiday inn during March in room 046. It was a very clean room on arrival with twin beds and a bigger than expected bathroom. It had a good shower with Dove washes. It was a 45 min walk from the Centre of Cambridge along Mill Road or you can get the No 2 bus that costs £3. It was a pleasant walk. The reception staff were very helpful and check in was quick. The room had a good temperature and it was cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a kettle, TV and an iron. The breakfast area was very busy in the mornings. The hot breakfast was ok. The Coffee was Ok there were a range of pastries and muffins all Ok. There were a lot of poor behaved people with a lot of ill behaved children in the breakfast area. Overall I had a comfortable stay. The room itself was very quiet. The images provided are of the room and view from the window, the walk to the hotel. I hope they are helpful."

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay, and I’ll definitely come back next time!

LLilit AdamianIt is a wonderful, cozy hotel with an excellent location — just a short walk from the railway station, which is especially convenient when traveling with luggage or children. If you are staying with kids, I highly recommend booking a room with a third bed. It is genuinely comfortable and well thought out, not just a nominal extra bed as is often the case in hotels. The staff are polite, attentive, and always willing to help, which creates a truly welcoming atmosphere. The only area that could use improvement is breakfast. It feels rather basic for a hotel of this standard, and more variety and better quality would be appreciated. Overall, this is a great place to stay in Cambridge, especially for family trips.

LLaomaidangI've stayed at this Hilton in Cambridge twice now, and both times it felt so welcoming. I booked the same river view room, and it was still just as comfortable and cozy. The front desk and restaurant were all the same, nothing changed. What did change was that this time I drove myself, and the parking was £26 a night – quite expensive! We walked to several Cambridge colleges and the shopping street, all within about ten to fifteen minutes. Cambridge feels much safer than London; you don't have to constantly guard your pockets or clutch your phone here. The breakfast was superb.

GGuest UserThis was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.

SSiddharth J KapoorAmazing stay, at an amazing place! Everything located at a walking distance a cafés, food joints, pubs, etc. The hotel staff was amazing and welcoming! Took care of checking in a jiffy. While I didn’t opt for the breakfast, the spread was good enough to start your day. The sleep was comfortable, neat and clean sheets, sink to wash your face and brush your teeth. What more can you ask for! Thank you for the lovely say.

GGuest UserTravelodge wouldn’t have been a bad memory except for TRIP that made it a horrible one for me , I definitely sure this would be my last dealing with them. Here is my ordeal with Travelodge and TRIP.com, on arriving the hotel I discovered the hotel has no air conditioning and it was terribly hot in London, I immediately notified the hotel of my intention to check out which they agreed to and are willing to give me a refund , unfortunately the TRIP customer service kept going round and round with the situation inorder for them to make me finish my stay at the hotel even with the fact that I complained it wasn’t comfortable, to be honest the hotel did their best to ensure I get my refund but trip messed everything up, there was practically nothing they didn’t do to make sure I didn’t check out even when someone from the hotel spoke with them about their willingness to give me a refund this is the hotel Ass. Manager ( Mrs Gosia) . I had a very terrible experience with trip and it is definitely going to be my last . I couldn’t sleep most of the night because of the terrible heat at night thanks to trip. 😞

GGuest UserWhile the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately. The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing. Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

GGuest UserLocation is great! Affordable cost! Given a free parking, which was bonus. As located in service station, a selection of fast-food restaurant is available nearby. Cleanliness is not great! Visible crumbs on the carpet and drawers, with filthy looking curtains. Breakfast is available on site but a but pricey should you decide to have it daily over a 3 day booking. Decision to make it a try on our first day, not a fan. Staff in the kitchen not friendly. Not attempted to make conversation (as if not heard us) at all when asked if topping up as containers were mostly empty and not even closing time yet. Definitely not value for money . Reception staff are great! Over all experience - satisfactory. Will consider staying again (hope they improve with cleanliness) Thanks!

MMAGDALENA JUSTYNAThere was a polish lady at the reception - she was AMAZING! EXTREMELY helpful, friendly, professional. I have stayed in many hotels, also international and 5 star - and she is TOP! One of hte best receptionist I have ever come across. The others were so-so, sometimes unfriendly or not organized, but she made up for all their failures and was EXCEPTIONAL. The door to my room was faulty - so the cleaners never managed to go inside and clean my room while I stayed there for 3 nights, and not all cards worked - so cleaners jsut did not bother to go inside- which was disappointing. Also, the soap dispensers do not work well - very hard to get any soap out. - needs fixing properly.
