"I booked this for my sister and my niece. She was saying your praises about friendly and accomodating staff. Location was great, 8 minutes walk to the test centre and few convenient shops. The hotel charge for corkage fee if you have take aways but okay to bring some foods. Bed was very comfortable, shower very good. No coffee facilities but they serve in the restaurant or order thru reception. The hotel is a bit tired/old but will recommend if you're taking board examination."

"We love the Old Manila Vibe of Orchid Garden Suites! Stayed for 5 days 4 nights. Our homeschool community booked 7 rooms because our kids attended the DLSU Model United Nations Conference. The family rooms were spacious and clean. The front desk was very attentive to our needs. The buffet at Cafe Alicia was delicious and there was a variety of choices everyday. Had the loveliest meals at the cafe with our fellow moms. Their housekeeping most likely had the weirdest request when my 9 yr old daughter left her tooth (in a small ziploc bag) and they called us after we checked in, when they found her tooth under one of the pillows in our room! We will definitely come back!"

"You get for what you pay including room, and food . No window and colours of the wall good for lovers. The location is convenient for church and mall and to the airport . However for picky person better select a place where you feel safe. This is located in a very narrow street. Customer service staff is perfectly friendly. Breakfast is not many selection and can only get one time .
The only thing that make unforgettable is to krysztal meet Mr. Michael from England in the swimming pool. A very friendly person ."

Interestingly, General MacArthur's suite, from the time he lost to General Peng during the Korean War, is preserved on the fifth floor – history certainly has a way of repeating itself... The breakfast selection is quite extensive.

Parking: A Major Inconvenience
The process for securing complimentary parking is excessively complicated and needs to be streamlined. For a 5-night stay, having to follow these steps every single day was truly exhausting and time-consuming:
Validate the ticket at the Front Desk for complimentary status.
Go to the Parking Cashier for a zero-value receipt.
Surrender this receipt at the parking exit.
This multi-step, daily requirement detracts significantly from the convenience expected of a hotel in this category, and I urge management to simplify it for long-term guests.
Front Desk & Check-In Issues
Service at the Front Desk also presented some challenges:
The check-in process was not smooth and took longer than expected.
I often had to wait for an extended period for the front desk to answer my phone calls, which was frustrating when trying to resolve issues or make simple requests.
Value for Money
The breakfast buffet, while excellent, is priced quite high, making it feel less like a value-add and more like an excessive cost for those paying in addition to their room rate.
Overall: The quality of the breakfast is great, but the cumbersome parking procedure and the inconsistent front desk service created daily friction that significantly impacted the overall comfort and convenience of my extended stay.

The location is very convenient — just a short distance from Rizal Park, Intramuros, and shopping areas like Robinsons Place Manila. It made moving around the city easy without long travel time.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for resting after a full day of walking around Manila. What stood out the most was the hospitality of the staff — they were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help.

KkakigansauLocated on Ongpin Street, very near to all the popular Chinatown f&b oultlets and opposite to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz (Binondo Church) so you wake up to the sounds of Church Bells.
The Hotel is quite dated but clean, would have been a great hotel during those days. Staff are friendly and approachable.
Just a heads up; they require a deposit per night. If you have a credit card you can pre-auth. Since I stayed for 1 night, I put 2000 piso cash for deposit. A family who checked in before me had 2 rooms for 5nights, had to put deposit of 2x5x2000piso=20,000piso (325usd).

MManami sanThe pool and gym were excellent. The hotel staff were also very friendly and always greeted us warmly. It's a very comfortable hotel. It was a bit disappointing that there was no refrigerator in the room and no coin laundry. Also, I wish they'd improve the shower, as the water tends to pool at your feet. However, for this price, it's a great location with excellent facilities. The entrance is also very secure, which adds to the peace of mind.

AAnonymous UserThe location is good, close to Intramuros and the coast. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's a nice walk to see the city. There's a large supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient.
Many of the staff were very kind. Thanks to them, I had a pleasant stay, which really made up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The doorman who opened the door for me every day even stopped an Uber taxi for me at the end and opened the door. He was very pleasant, and I left feeling good. Thank you.
Breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the omelets made fresh every day were delicious, and since it was a buffet, I was able to eat my fill. For this price, there's even a small gym, so I think the cost-performance is good.
From here on, I'll list the downsides, but even with those, I still felt it was good value for money (again, thanks to the kind staff). The hotel is old and dusty. My room had no view from the window. The strange doll on the bedside lamp was a mystery (lol). The room was reasonably spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. However, when you remove the key card, everything turns off, so it gets hot again when you go out. There are no amenities at all, so I recommend bringing your own from home. There's no box of tissues either. There's only one roll of toilet paper, so if you use it as tissue, you'll run out. For towels, there's only a bath towel; no face towel. Maybe you can ask the front desk for a toothbrush? The toilet is the kind where you shouldn't flush paper. Please be careful.

GGuest UserThough the rooms need renovations and better cleaning, this is a budget hotel, after all. So, you will get what you paid for. The best part of this hotel is the location within Intramuros. Despite the hot and humid weather, I was able to walk to key sites withing Intramuros. The reception seemed to lack in its tour arranging ability, but I was able to charter a TukTuk at a nearby museum, to go all the way to Malacañan Palace area.
