"From our arrival to the end of our stay the hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. The room was clean, however the air-con temperature setting could not be controlled by the remote control or on the machine itself. It was set to 24 all the time. Bathroom was adequate too. The restaurant had two areas, indoor and outdoor, both brilliant to see the sun rise in the morning. Food was great! The massage chair was an extra treat. An elevator would be great to help guests going up floors especially for seniors and those who have knee problems as the hotel has 3 floors and the stairs are quite steep with each step. The swimming pool was cool but lacked extra deck chairs due to space restrictions."

"That was the best experience! We arrived by ferry from Panglao to Oslob early morning. Came to hotel. Even check-in time was 14:00, the host took our luggage and opened the room earlier. It was 9 am, so we even managed to go to whale sharks same morning. Shuttle from hotel took us to place, where special guide meet us and guided to boat. Everything was fast, we didn’t stand in a line, no waiting at all. Also hotel organises tours to Sumillon island and Turmalog falls. Exceptional service! Rooms are comfortable, very clean and spacious. Highly recommend!"

"This is a newly opened hotel. The owner is *********. In the evening, you can order a glass of juice in the courtyard and sit by the pool to enjoy it. The facilities should be among the best among nearby hotels. Highly recommended."

"We loved our stay at Seafari! The place looks like something out of a postcard—perched under a cliff with dreamy views and its own little private beach. Now, full disclosure: to get there, you’ll have to conquer what felt like a thousand stairs (okay, maybe just 50 meters of cliffside steps, but our legs don’t know the difference). Totally worth it though! The staff was super friendly, the vibe was relaxed, and everything felt peaceful and private. If you're up for a bit of a leg workout and want a quiet slice of paradise, this is your spot."

"Excellent hostel for shark spotting! It's literally right across from where the boats depart. If you contact the hotel in advance, they can likely help with booking a slot, so you won't have to wake up at 5 AM. We didn't do this on the first day, so we had to get up, but for a very small fee, they helped us with the queue (allowing us to go back to the hotel to sleep more) and then with boarding. On the second day, we decided to swim again, and this time they simply offered to book a time for us, and we got to wake up at a comfortable 7 AM. The hotel itself is very vibrant and cheerful. The beds are creaky, of course, but comfortable. All in all, for a 2-day stay, it's perfect!"

"This place is great, location and service. Fhin, is the perfect host there isn’t anything that is too much trouble for him to help out with. The accommodation is of a good standard and really clean. There’s a bakery selling a selection of teas and coffees and cold drinks. Whilst the accommodation does not have a restaurant there are a couple of dining options close by."

"The staff was great. Good place to stay, not far from whale swimming. Mike was amazing, he woke up on the morning and took me to the site and assisted me with everything for the whale swimming. Highly recommend to stay if you want a friendly atmosphere."

"Me and my friend stayed here for one night and we love the place maybe just a little upgrade in there bathroom as the room that we occupy had some minor issues but over all it didn’t affect our stay and we already raised our concerns to the staffs hopefully they the can do something about that…im looking forward to coming back here with my family maybe next time."

"Nice, cheap place to stay. Right on the water and has a decent pool with bar and restaurant. About 15 minutes away from whale shark area. Only complaint is that the WiFi isn’t great... went in and out of service entire stay"

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort, and overall, it was a beautiful experience. The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort. However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return. Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests. In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable."
