"Enjoyed my stay here. The place is clean and the staff friendly. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The bus stops right outside the hotel but it’s quite a walk to the nearest metro station. A small fridge would have been handy but I notice these are not common in Portugal. The lift is unusual but functional. Perhaps a real cup for making hot drinks would be preferable to the paper one provided. Overall, a positive experience and good value in Lisbon."

The ibis Lisboa José Malhoa hotel is 100% non-smoking, located between Sete Rios and Praça de Espanha in this quiet area of Lisbon, just 500 metres from Lisbon Zoo and the Gulbenkian Foundation. Relax in one of our 211 rooms or at the restaurant/bar for a meal or drink. Additional services include: private parking area, free WiFi, and a fully equipped meeting room.

"We booked the Ibis knowing it’s a no-frills brand, primarily because we needed a convenient one-night stay between Porto and Lisbon before our flight. While the service and breakfast buffet were decent and met our expectations for the price point, our sleep was unfortunately quite disrupted. There were two large school groups staying at the hotel, and students were yelling, slamming doors, and running through the hallways at 3:00 AM. Additionally, the rooms were very stuffy; the air conditioning is centrally controlled at a high temperature, and we were unable to adjust it ourselves. If you just need a clean, private bathroom and a bed, this hotel is sufficient, but be aware that the low cost also attracts large, noisy groups."

The National Museum of Ancient Art is just a minute away, plus our hotel hosts an array of historical artwork. Several transit stops and Doca Alcantara are less than two kilometers away. Within a 10-minute walk you’ll find dozens of cafes, bars, and beautiful architecture. We also feature an on-site bar and restaurant, plus 1,300 sq. ft. of event space.

"Hilton is always my top choice when I travel. This particular hotel in Lisbon is housed in an older building, but it's been beautifully renovated with a fresh, Portuguese-inspired decor. The room was fantastic, with a great separation between the wet and dry areas, excellent air conditioning, and comfortable bedding. The lobby and restaurant are both exquisitely designed, and the breakfast was superb! All in all, a great experience."

An exceptional experience. Moon & Sun Lisboa aims to provide the best accommodation experience in a refined and welcoming atmosphere, making the most of its privileged location in Lisbon’s Pombaline Downtown. Guided by a commitment to excellence in service and comfort, this restored historic building from the Pombaline era has been transformed into a charming space, where it is still possible to find original details from its initial 18th-century construction. The hotel is located on Rua Áurea, close to the Santa Justa Lift. Just below, you will find the grand and historic Praça do Comércio, with the iconic Rua Augusta Arch and breathtaking views over the Tagus River. Moon & Sun Lisboa is in the very heart of the city. Its location provides easy access to Lisbon’s most important attractions, whether you wish to explore its hills on foot or take advantage of the public transport network. At Moon & Sun Hotels, we believe that historic city centres reveal the most genuine and precious secrets of each destination. It is within their charm that we get lost and rediscover our origins — and our journeys ahead.

"We had a great stay at Moon & Sun Hotel in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel that’s perfect for exploring the city, this is an excellent choice. The location is ideal—within walking distance of major attractions, great restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to discover Lisbon without needing a Taxi/Uber/Bolt. The rooms are modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean. While they are on the smaller side, they’re perfect for travelers who want a comfortable place to rest after a full day of sightseeing. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city rather than lounging in your room, this hotel offers great value for money. The service was outstanding. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat. They were also very accommodating—when I requested a different pillow for better comfort, they replaced it immediately, and when we asked for mint to be brought to our room, they did so at no extra charge. Small gestures like these really made us feel welcome. Overall, Moon & Sun Hotel was exactly what we were looking for—clean, comfortable, and centrally located, with a high level of service. It’s a great option for couples or anyone who wants to explore Lisbon with ease while staying in a well-priced, stylish hotel. We would definitely stay here again!"

Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a communal living room. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM for a fee. "There was some confusion regarding access to the spa. When we stayed there last time, everything was included, but this time we didn't have access to the spa, and there were no slippers or bathrobes in the rooms. The hotel is good, but it's the little details that make the experience enjoyable."

We booked the Deluxe King Room with city views. The 2.2-meter king-size bed was incredibly spacious, and the room was spotlessly clean. The rooftop bar offers fantastic views of Lisbon and a pool for guests. I highly recommend the hotel's 10 PM light show – it's truly unique! And don't miss the delicious egg tarts at breakfast!

Important Considerations for Travelers: - If you book a room with breakfast included and have an early flight on your departure day, consider purchasing breakfast separately. The hotel does not offer a refund for unused breakfasts, and in my case, they neither refunded nor provided any form of compensation. This policy, though minor for the hotel, can leave a negative impression, as a small gesture of goodwill would go a long way in enhancing guest satisfaction. - The hotel does not provide bathrobes, which may be inconvenient for guests accustomed to using them after a shower. - Nighttime temperatures can be quite low, so it is advisable to turn on the air conditioning in advance to ensure a comfortable sleep. - The rooms are compact, making this hotel a better fit for solo travelers rather than couples or families. - While it is rated as a four-star property, the breakfast selection is quite simple and limited. Guests can expect pastries, a small assortment of sliced meats and cheeses (1-2 types each), yogurt, toppings, scrambled eggs, ciabatta, a modest selection of sliced fruit, juice, and some alcoholic beverages. Hotel Perk: - Unlimited coffee is available in the lounge, which is a nice bonus for guests. - The hotel is situated in a district neighboring the city center, offering convenient access. Guests can reach the embankment and historic center within a short walk. - Upon my arrival on the first night of check-in, I received a welcome kit that included complimentary access to the in-room bar. I’ve attached a photo of the bar below for reference.

From start to finish Dom Carlos Park did not disappoint. Helpful staff took our bag up stairs on arrival. Storage was available until our room was ready, map was given when requested to help us find our bearings. Room clean with fridge with selection of minibar which could be purchased, safe was also available. Towels were large and fluffy. Bed comfortable, with lovely pillows, black out curtains to help sleep. Room service used first night with excellent food . Breakfast was excellent good range of food. It was occasional busy and we were asked to wait in the lounge area but again well looked after and as soon as space was available we were taken in to wait. Hotel is in a good location, a gentle walk down the avenue liberdade everyday to where the action is, such as Rossio Station where we caught the train to Sintra. Great hotel would stay again. Cab from airport to hotel €24 , Uber to airport €7

My Story Hotel Rossio

I spent a 5 nights at My Story Rossio and here are some of my thoughts: PROS: - Excellent location. Hard to beat this prime location. It's at the heart of the city with lots of things to do in proximity. There's also a Metro station across from it so you can take the subway directly from the airport. - Nice decors and overall pretty clean. CONS: - The biggest issue I had during my stay was the poor structure of the building leading to disturbing loud noises. During housekeeping hours, the door to the cleaning supplies kept being slammed. Every time it was slammed, my whole room shook and I jumped up. I called the front desk asking if they could be more gentle with the doors. I was told that that was the way housekeeping was and to call back only if it still happened after 5pm (after housekeeping hours). It was impossible to get any rest during the day. I understand that housekeepers need to do their job but I wonder if this issue could be fixed simply by changing the door hinge to a slow close hinge. Also, in the middle of the night, I would wake up by the creaking noises of people above me when they walked across the room. - Second issue was the thermostat. It was not adjustable and could only be controlled by the front desk. For some reason, the hotel decided that all the rooms needed to be in heating mode during the night. It was so hot and stuffy that I was not able to sleep for many nights. I had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to turn it off but sometimes it would automatically switch back on. Then I requested to have the cooling instead of heating on but it would be too cold at night and there was no way to dial it myself. So throughout my stay, it would feel like being inside either a sauna or a freezer.

On a busy street, it’s not very quiet, but you can wear earplugs. Your experience depends on the other travelers, of course, if they are considerate. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The reason I like this place is because it has a lot of character. It’s a turn-of-the-last century, 1890s palace, with very fancy ceilings, parquet wooden floors, and a marble floor lobby. It’s a real palace, one of many in Portugal! In 1914 it was rented to the Swiss Ambassador of Portugal. Although the place is quite dated now, it still has a lot of class. If you have a little more money, you can rent a small suite, higher up and quieter, also with credit card points (free or almost ). Unfortunately the internet only works in the lobby if you have a mobile phone. It seems to work fine for iPads and computers, strangely enough. It has a kitchen and washer / dryer. The fridge is old-style retro, as well as the deco in the whole hotel / hostel. (small fridge, but it does have a small freezer, too.) The place has a restaurant, which is popular. If you eat a large breakfast you can include it with your rent, it costs about 9€ (I don’t , so the kitchen was fine – modern electric stove top, microwave – no oven!) The top bunk of a three-tiered system is fairly safe, as it has steps, instead of ladder rungs. It has wooden lockers (bring your own lock) and small boxes, hidden in the stairs at every bed level. Not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights… or those who can’t do stairs. Two flights of stairs up! Shared rooms on first and second floors, kitchen is on the first. No elevator to the shared rooms, unlike the suites.

I booked this hotel cause it a close location to many things around in Lisbon. While it is not a fancy hotel, it serves well for solo travellers and families. The room was very spacious and the AC worked well. The cleaning service came every day and left the room clean and fresh. Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was a usual hotel breakfast. You could pick from hot items such as scrambled eggs and meat products like beans and sausage or bacon. On one day they also had mushrooms. Then of course the bread variety and some pastry items such as croissant and muffins. Cheeses, yoghurt and fruits as well cereals were available. Eating breakfast at 10 AM usually filled us up for the day and we hardly ate lunch outside. The staff was friendly and when we requested an iron they provided that with no problem. The room had a small safe for valuables when we left for the day and plenty of storage space for the clothes and suit cases. The bathroom was very nice as well, lots of counter space and even a clothing line across the tub to hang some items to dry if you had to was a shirt or socks. The hotel is located across small soccer practice field so from our balcony we could watch people play some soccer games. Be advised the hotel is very close to the airport (about 10 min) so there was noise from planes but hardly noticeable. During our stay, 2 of the main elevators broke and were not usable but luckily we were on the second floor so taking the stairs was easy but they do have other elevators available. And for anyone not looking to leave the hotel for lunch or dinner, they provide plenty of dishes in their restaurant and bar area. But just a few steps around that area, you will find great places to eat such a Turkish restaurant with a 10 page menu I highly recommend to try.

Our go-to hotel in Lisbon. It's well-located (near Campolide and Sete Rios), the front office staff are excellent, the restaurant is very pleasant, and the beds are super comfortable, both in the suites and standard rooms. This is where our son learned to walk in 2024, and where we'll always return whenever we're in Lisbon.

The room is spacious. Clean and has good amenities. It smelled bad inside the elevator all the time. The lobby isn't very present with dirty floors. Breakfast was average. The location was good for me, but a few metro stops away from the touristy spots. But it's a safe location w plenty of other hotel chains, office buildings and restaurants.
