Advantages: great welcoming staff, bus stop in a few meters, central location, comfy bed, kettle in the room
Minor disadvantages: a bit worn out room (though it does not affect the experience)
More noticeable disadvantages: around 10 minutes of walking from the metro, a bit hard if travelling with a luggage from the airport; room is rather dark (not enough lights) and there is no fridge (the latter is really regrettable since it would be nice to be able to bring some snacks for the evening/morning)
Breakfast is tasty but very limited (e.g. one option of cheese, ham) but you can squeeze yourself fresh orange juice which is nice"

"The hotel is located right by Avenida da Liberdade, but it still takes a good 20 minutes to walk to the beach. There are a lot of uphill and downhill slopes along the way, which made the walk quite tiring. The location isn't ideal, but given the cheap price, it's definitely good value for money. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was also very satisfactory, and the front desk staff were really friendly. Luggage storage is free during your stay, but there's a 5-euro fee per use if you need to store your bags after checking out. Also, the hotel's Wi-Fi password is easylisbon60A, and the signal was just okay."

"The location was great and I was able to walk to many places! The room was clean and the breakfast was delicious, so I was very satisfied! However, I was a little disappointed that the shampoo and conditioner were all-in-one with the body soap. Everything else was great!"

"After a very stressful day of delays and cancellations at the airport it very nice to be welcomed into such a nicely managed and very clean hotel, don’t be discouraged by the appearance of the building from the outside, all I can say is once you get into your room you will be pleasantly surprised. If all that you need is somewhere to lay your weary head with WIFI included then give this one a try"

"staffs are very welcoming. the location’s quite good as there’re supermarket, cafes and tram stations (line 28) nearby. the luggage storage is just putting your luggage on the floor, which feels not very safe. Also, someone who stayed there disturbed us RIGHT after 11pm saying that it’s the hostel’s resting time. but overall it was a good stay "

YYPLStayed at Gat Rossio for 1night. Staff service was great, tho i went early to check in and could only kept my luggages but they services provided was awesome. Location wise, was just 2min walk outside for a metro and surrounding all the dining area. But if to walk to city centre might take abt 5-8min. After check in, room was clean and great! They also have very nice lounges and waiting area. Awesome, would def recommend!!!

Mmoke899I chose a room with a bathroom, which is actually the master bedroom of the house. It's quite spacious and has everything. The location is also very good. There is a subway station downstairs, and there are many supermarkets, restaurants, etc. nearby. The kitchen at home is also very easy to use and has everything. The parking situation is not clear. It may not be easy to park on the main road. Comparing the beds in the youth hostels nearby, the price was about twice as high as that in the youth hostels, but they were much more comfortable and comfortable, so I decided to change and did not continue to stay in the youth hostels. Although the landlord is not good at speaking English, he is still very enthusiastic about using translation software to communicate and help. Thank you very much. All in all, it is a very cost-effective choice. If you feel uncomfortable staying in a youth hostel, this is a good choice and highly recommended. GGuest UserThe hotel is very close to the metro station, which is great. It's located right on Liberty Avenue, and the surrounding area is nice. The hotel itself is in an older building facing the street, so it feels a bit dated. The facilities are quite old, and the bathroom is small, but the price is also very affordable.

NNettie29We had a family suite, 4 beds and a private washroom. The soundproofing of the place is very poor. There's supposed to be quiet hours, but it was not enforced very well, if at all. At 12am, there was a group of very rowdy crowd running and making loud noises but no one came to enforce it. .If you are a deep sleeper, this will be okay, but if you are a light sleeper like myself then I don't recommend it.
We were told different information by different staffs. At first they told us that each towel will be 3euro, but upon returning and just going to get 1 as we bought 2 elsewhere, we were told it's free because we got the family room.
We were charged 32 euro for the tourist fee, even though trip.com states it was 24.

IIara.MariaThe reception is on the top floor (3rd floor), and the kitchen and bathroom are shared. This apartment had three bedrooms, one of which had a private bathroom (room 6).
There were no televisions in any of the rooms.
The place is good for those staying a few nights, which was my case (2 nights).
As for the noise, it's normal!
The cleanliness was what I appreciated most, as they always came in the morning for the two days I stayed.

GGuest UserThis is not a quality hotel, but it is in a great location and if you understand something about the rooms you might find it ok. We booked a superior double room and firstly it is not a double bed. The hotel told me they do not have double beds in these rooms, they are all singles pushed together. Secondly there definition of ‘superior’ is that the rooms have been recently decorated and are superior to what they used to be. The reality is that they extremely small rooms, a hanging space either side of the bed with 3 hangers, no wardrobe and no drawer space whatsoever. I think for 1 night this is manageable. Beware some sites show this room with sofas and wardrobe’s- they do not exist as a double room. These are triple rooms and these rooms are more spacious and have a double bed, wardrobe and drawers. Not all have sofas! I found all this out on a recent stay. I booked a superior double and the hotel moved me to a larger triple room. So good customer service. But in peak season I might have been stuck!

SShirleyleyThe hotel is a 5-minute walk from the nearest subway station, but please note that there is only an escalator from the platform to the station lobby, and there are only stairs from the lobby to the ground level. If you are carrying large luggage, it is best to take the bus. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to Rossio Station in the city center. I also walk to and from the city center every day to save transportation costs.
Before check-in, the hotel contacted me to inquire about the check-in time, so I had to reply because the staff may be out sometimes. The hotel reception is in a unit on the right side of the third floor. My room is in a unit on the right side of the second floor. The unit on the left side of the same floor is where the locals live, so be careful not to ring the wrong doorbell. There are small elevators from the ground floor to each floor. Each unit has multiple rooms sharing 3 bathrooms, one of which only has a toilet. In addition, they put some stink balls in the washbasin, probably to prevent mosquitoes, so there is a smell of stink balls in the bathroom, which is a bit strange but acceptable. There are some black molds on the leak-proof rubber edge of the bathtub. As for the room, the beds are very clean, but there is some dust in some places, such as the baseboards and the electric extension cord (mop). If you have a mysophobia, you should pay attention to it. In addition, there is a dining area on each floor, which is equipped with a microwave, refrigerator and water heater for convenient dining. There is also a terrace for smokers.
The room I stayed in, No. 204, had a small terrace with a view of the No. 28 tram stop, so there was a chance that I would be woken up by the sound of the tram passing by early in the morning. For those who are easily woken up by noise, it is recommended to bring earplugs. There is a medium-sized supermarket within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, which is convenient for purchasing food. Since I stayed during the Easter peak season, it was great value to be able to stay in a single room for less than HK$400 per night including tax. It is also worth mentioning that the staff here are very friendly and helpful. They even told me that I can get a discount at the restaurant diagonally opposite the downstairs with my room key.
