"I really recommend this place. This price for breakfast... The hotel is old, but clean and the desk staff is very friendly. It would have taken 2 hours to take the train from Óbidos to Lisbon, but they told me that there was only one bus. Oh my goodness, there was a bus stop 1 minute away from the hotel. Google directions don't tell me this. Anyway, I almost went to Lisbon after calling an Uber and taking 2 hours, but I took the bus in front of the hotel and went to Lisbon in 1 hour. I totally recommend it. One night in a heritage city. It's great."

"Excellent boutique hotel, good facilities, in particular indoor pool open until 22:00. Tv in the room was not working so upon request we were moved to another room, albeit an upgraded to a suite. Excellent breakfast too!"

"Very nice little hotel on the outskirts of Obidos. 12 minutes to the center at a leisurely pace. The rooms are a bit dated, but quite acceptable for one night. The hotel has a very interesting interior. There is a cozy courtyard with a view of the countryside (in the mornings you can hear roosters in the distance). Good breakfast, but nothing fancy. Right opposite the hotel you can see an ancient aqueduct."

"This hotel has become well known for being a book lovers haven. The hotel itself is super interesting and each room is different. My friend and I each stayed in different parts of the hotel and had very different looking and feeing rooms. Which means each time you stay there; there could be a new discovery. The hallways and corridors are lined with books. Even if you don't stay here I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant. The food was amazing every time. The only thing I would recommend if this hotel needs more cozy reading areas. They have a couple but they are not the most comfortable places to sit; although they are definitely aesthetically pleasing and fit the vibe of the hotel's history. We spent a lot of time out in the courtyard reading; there's a great spot under a large tree with canvas chairs."
