"That afternoon, we made a last-minute decision to cancel our original hotel booking, thinking it would be more convenient to stay on Paifang Street given the rainy weather. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Firstly, its prime location right on Paifang Street makes it incredibly convenient to walk to several major attractions. Secondly, the design is full of thoughtful details, and the hotel feels very new as it hasn't been open long. Every staff member, from the butler to the front desk and restaurant staff, was incredibly friendly! Initially, after reading some reviews, I was a bit concerned about potential street noise. However, we were assigned a room on the 6th floor, and based on my family's experience, aside from a brief minute or two of noticeable noise from the street below around 9 AM, we didn't hear any other street noise at all during our stay. P.S. A minor suggestion for improvement: perhaps because we are a family of four, the waste bins in both the bathroom and the room were a bit on the small side for our needs."

"You can fully immerse yourself in Teochew culture right here at the hotel, without needing to step out. While the staff may not be numerous, every single person is wonderful. Unlike the impersonal service often found in chain hotels, this place truly feels like home. Vast and Linda, in particular, are incredibly engaging and helpful – such genuinely lovely people! Even the room service attendant and the cleaning staff always greeted us with warm, friendly smiles. The cleanliness is also impeccable; there wasn't a speck of dirt anywhere. You could even run barefoot on the outdoor stone paths. Breakfast is another highlight. Having stayed in several hotels in Chaoshan over the past few days, this was the only one that truly offered authentic Teochew-inspired breakfast options, and everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. An 'auntie' staff member saw us with our children and kindly offered them some German-made candies with good ingredients. Both the mini-bar selections and the bathroom amenities were also of excellent quality. The hotel also has a resident cat, Xiongda, who is incredibly adorable with his short legs. When the front desk staff noticed I wanted to pet him, they even offered me a cat treat stick. The next day, I wanted to give Xiongda another treat, but the front desk attendant kindly informed me that he had already had two for the day and couldn't have more. It's clear they genuinely care for the cat and prioritize his well-being. I'll definitely be visiting other hotels in the 'You Xiong' series in the future. What particularly impressed me was noticing, while walking around, that the hotel is equipped with an AED. This suggests the owner is truly thoughtful and responsible – very impressive! However, one minor point for improvement is that the room felt a little too much like a display suite, making it perhaps a bit too business-oriented for a relaxing holiday."

"The location is superb, right at the entrance of the ancient city. You can go shoot night scenes at 10 PM and capture the empty city at 8 AM. There's a food street right outside, making dining very convenient. The hotel even provides disposable toothbrushes, combs, and shower caps. Free tea is available at the entrance, and complimentary fruit and snacks are offered from 1 PM to 5 PM. The front desk staff is very enthusiastic, and all the aunties (staff) are very friendly."

"During my stay, the breakfast was quite basic and just okay. The room was very clean, considering it's a new hotel. For internet, I decided to use my own data plan. I used a hotspot for my computer, as the hotel's internet was terrible. The lighting was okay, but I would have liked a little more. Overall, it was a very good value and a very comfortable stay."

"The hotel offers robot delivery service and even late-night snacks. **Environment:** Excellent. It's conveniently located about a ten-minute walk from Paifang Street and very close to Guangji Bridge. **Cleanliness:** Spotlessly clean. **Service:** Exceptionally well-managed. **Facilities:** Brand new and modern. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient for getting around, offers great shopping, and easy access to late-night dining options."

"The hotel has a good geographical environment. It is quite close to Paifang Street, just a 20-minute walk. Opposite the hotel is West Lake Park. The double bed room has no street view or lake view and looks old. Fortunately, the front desk was very friendly. I asked for the price difference and got a free upgrade to a lake view room. But the problem is that although I can see that the merchant used hollow glass to reduce noise, the noise of motorcycles on the roadside is really loud. Still get woken up in the middle of the night. Also, the hottest water in the bathtub tap is only warm water, and the toothbrush is a bit difficult to use, which can be improved. The overall decoration is OK and pretty. If the weather is good, the lake view and tree shadows are really worth seeing. But the overall price is high, it depends on personal choice."

"The hotel is generally very good. We booked three suites. This one is on the first floor and is a bit dingy... The rooms upstairs are not. The hardware decoration is great and you can enjoy the hot springs. The location is very good, and it is convenient to enter Paifang Street and eat, drink and shop."

"Our room was spacious and immaculate, with beautiful traditional Chinese aesthetics incorporated throughout. The small courtyard was tranquil and offered a truly relaxing ambiance. The butler service was excellent; they proactively contacted us a day in advance to help reserve a convenient parking space right at the entrance. The complimentary breakfast, served at 'Shibazhu Yujiao' (just a five-minute walk away), was absolutely delicious. We also appreciated the thoughtful self-service laundry and drying facilities. A lovely touch was the complimentary Dancong Duck **** Fragrance tea bags provided in the room, complete with a professional tea set and table for brewing. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel's front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, even recommending some excellent local Chaoshan cuisine nearby. The hotel boasts a great location with dedicated underground parking and direct elevator access to the front desk for check-in, which was super convenient. A key point to remember is that the front desk is on the fifth floor, not the ground floor, which just serves as a welcome lounge. There's also a cinema in the adjacent mall; coincidentally, the movie 'Dongji Island' was playing, so I caught a showing right away. It was a really good experience!"
