It only takes 2 minutes to walk from the hotel to Heyi Avenue Shopping Center and 3 minutes to walk to Chenghuang Temple. Surrounding the hotel are Tianyi Store of Intime Department Store, Tianyi International Shopping Center, Laidi Fashion Plaza, Tianyi Digital Plaza, Ningbo No. 2 Department Store, Xin Hualian Commercial Building, Dongfang Commercial Building, Poly Cinema, Yuehu Shengyuan (a large catering plaza) and other leisure and shopping plazas. There are famous tourist attractions such as the Old Bund, Chenghuang Temple, the Drum Tower, Tianyige Museum, and Yuehu Lake in the vicinity.

"The service was great, and we even got a room upgrade. The room itself was a bit on the smaller side, but still comfortable.
They offer free late-night snacks (choose one from cocktails, milk, or mini wontons), which was a nice touch.
The location is excellent, with easy access to Gulou, Tianyi Square, Tianyi Pavilion, and Yuehu Park, all within walking distance. Gulou Station on Metro Line 2 is also very close by.
My only complaints are about the soundproofing; you could clearly hear doors closing in other rooms, and since our room was right next to the elevator, we could hear it running and the delivery robot. Also, the toilet seat was unusually small and didn't fit the toilet properly, almost like a child-sized seat. Finally, a shower cap should really be provided."

"Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the service absolutely deserves a five-star rating. The front desk staff were polite and thoughtful, and service requests were promptly attended to. Since there were three of us staying, they generously provided an extra breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, offering a rich variety of options compared to other hotels of a similar standard. Even for someone like me who is a picky eater, there was plenty to choose from, and I felt completely satisfied. The restaurant staff were also very courteous and provided attentive service in a timely manner. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom faucets were Hansgrohe. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.
If I had to mention any minor drawbacks, the hotel's shower caps were too small to fit my head – I hope they can improve their selection of amenities in the future. The room lighting was a bit dim, the telephone was out of order, and the bathroom lacked a rain shower. However, none of these issues significantly impacted my overall experience."

"The location is good, making it easy to get anywhere by taxi; it's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the train station. The room facilities are a bit old but still functional. The TV is a projector, and you need your own streaming subscriptions to use it. Soundproofing is a bit poor.
The service attitude is excellent. They have a butler service, which was a pleasant surprise. They even provide makeup remover, facial cleanser, and laundry detergent. Upon arrival, we received fruit and a late-night snack. Foot baths are also offered. Breakfast is predominantly Chinese. Free tea is available in the lobby."

"Hotel room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. I only stayed a night as was flying early from Ningbo after a meeting. Perfect place for an overnight before/after a flight due to location.
I used the airport shuttle service, it was acceptable, but be careful that you can have it available for your flight. For me it was just okay, but they seemed a bit unwilling to take me any earlier than 06:10 because that’s when the majority of passengers where wanting a lift. That said it all went well, I made my flight and the team were very polite at every interaction. Hotel is very nice and close meaning the actual drive took ＜15m at that time of day and I was dropped directly to the terminal."

The room decor is very cozy, and it's also convenient for working, with robot service available. The breakfast is rich with a good variety of choices, which is excellent. XXidan123Two days in advance, I added the housekeeper's WeChat and booked the meal and hot spring time.
It is more convenient to drive there. After locating their parking lot, a housekeeper will pick us up to check in at the B&B.
The room is still clean as a whole, with everything it should have. The welcome fruits and flowers are still very warm. There is only a window on the top to watch the starry sky. The glass is a little dirty after a long time, but it doesn't affect it at night.
After that, we walked around. The content of the B&B is still very complete, with a large room for dinner, facilities for children to play, hot springs and swimming pools, and places to read and drink tea.
Walking out of the B&B, the village is peaceful and quiet. Walk around and feel the environment and culture of Maoao Village.
I made an appointment for dinner and hot springs in the evening at the B&B. Because it is a reservation system, it is equivalent to a private soup, which feels good. Half an hour is completely enough. The dinner tastes good, and the chef gives a good review.

DDongxiaopangxingzouzhongAcross the street is Tianyi Square, and downstairs is Chenghuang Temple and its night market. The subway station is only about two or three minutes away, just a short walk to the left after exiting. The surrounding area offers plenty of food, shopping, and extremely convenient public transportation. Tianyige Pavilion and Yuehu Park are also not far.
Plus, the bedding is quite good, I especially loved the memory foam pillows, they were very comfortable to sleep on 😌.
It's just that the temperature, for someone from the Northeast, was still too hot 😂. Others were wearing jackets while we were in short sleeves!

GGuest UserI would have given a 5-star review for Pan Pacific Ningbo had it not been for allowing guests and even hotel staff to smoke in the hotel! I give 1-star for cleanliness because allowing guests and staff to smoke in a hotel lobby and rooms is simply disgusting! There's nothing clean about it! It's such a waste because Pan Pacific Ningbo has such great facilities and luxurious interior; I even made a video of the hotel and will be posting it on my newly created YouTube channel. I may return again when the Chinese government has banned smoking in hotels and taken a more serious attitude against smoking and enforced the laws against smoking in hotels and restaurants.
Having brought up the bad thing about Pan Pacific Ningbo, I would like to highly commend the following staff for their exemplary services:
1. Cady of the reception
Cady was the same receptionist who checked us in during our two separate stays, on our way to Zhoushan and back from Zhoushan. She was very courteous and friendly. She offered to add me on her WeChat so that I could contact her if I needed anything. True enough, I needed to contact her within a few hours after we checked-in during our second stay. Smoke filled our room. When I found out that it came from the room next to ours, I immediately informed Cady, who immediately arranged for someone to spray air freshener in the corridor. She offered air filter, which I declined as we were already going out. As we walked down the lobby, I realized that Cady had actually left, and she was arranging all those even though she was already off duty! It was also Cady who informed me that GHA Discovery members would get dining discount by giving me a brochure.
2. Cora (陈丽)
Cora was the wait staff attending our table at Madr 99. When I found out that I had run out of mobile data plan, I asked Cora for the passcode to logon to the hotel Wifi. Strangely, there's no option to logon with hotel room number. There were only 2 ways to logon to the hotel wifi: using a passcode and mobile number. Cora kindly offered to use her mobile number to help me logon. She didn't even ask me to use my own mobile number. It was very kind of her to do that. Upon paying the bill, I presented Cora with my GHA Discovery membership card. Cora provided me with 10% discount for silver member, exactly as stated in the brochure that Cady gave me. When we headed back to the serviced suites, another male wait staff chased us and rudely told me that GHA Discovery silver member was not entitled to any dining discount at all. He demanded me to go with him to the cashier to sign a new invoice. I later contacted Cady and asked her to verify with her manager the terms and conditions of dining discount for GHA Discovery member, before we went to Hai Tien Lo to dine in the evening. Cady, who was already at home and off duty, gladly obliged to my request, and confirmed that dining discount was applicable to even silver members. Perhaps hotel management could ask Cora to train the guy properly before allowing him to interact with guests directly! Otherwise, one day he might get punched by guests who are irritated by his behavior.
3. Cavan
Cavan was the porter/concierge who helped us deliver our luggage to our room. He, too, was friendly and polite like Cady and Cora. He even walked us to Madr 99 and showed us where all the hotel restaurants were located. The way he treated us was like VVIP.
The hotel management should treasure and try to retain these 3 excellent staff. Have these 3 experienced staff to train their junior colleagues.

Ningbo's navigation was also incredibly reliable, even underground: I walked straight from the train station to the hotel without taking a single unnecessary step. This morning, I simply strolled over to Tianyi Pavilion. The service exceeded all expectations, with complimentary cinnamon lattes in the lobby... I genuinely wish I could come back here on my return journey, even just to wait for my train.
