Hotels with Breakfast in Heidelberg

"All in all, not a terrible stay. When we first got there to check in the front desk was closed even though it was 5pm and check in was until 10, and the automatic check in machine was broken with a note on it to pick up our room keys at the hotel across the street. We went there and they had no idea what we were talking about so we had to carry our luggage back across the street after contacting trip.com who replied IMMEDIATELY (thank you guys so much your customer service is incredible!) we got the number to call the hotel after hours and it turns out they forgot to leave our keys so they sent someone back over to let us into our room. We got into our room and it wasn’t the room we booked, it was a room in the attic that on one side I couldn’t even stand up without hitting my head (I’m 5”3) but it had AC and it was a place to rest our heads so it could wait until morning. The next day when we came down we mentioned the room error and the look the first guy gave me was full of contempt, so his customer service was awful. I know I don’t look like a conventional woman with my hair and tattoos and I understand different cultures can collide but that’s fine, though when the manager came to talk to my fiancé his attitude perked up a bit and he found a smile. They got us in the correct room and this room was a normal size but the ac unit for that room is a portable roll about one that the hose wasn’t sticking out the window with the netting correctly and they tried to come fix it (duct tape) but then the hose broke but my fiancé found a way to shove it out the window and it took awhile to get the room cooled down but then it was great. After that the rest of the trip went well, the woman with the copper/red hair was super nice and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was a really good breakfast and the hotel is in a great location with secure parking. Check out Lino’s around the corner for fantastic drinks and the döner place downstairs is killer. It’s most important that most Germans don’t approve of AC so keep that in mind if that’s important to you that you double verify where you book. All the trouble aside we would definitely stay here again, just don’t count on the blow dryer in the room or the AC to work and room service may need to be requested multiple times."

"It is necessary to keep the window closed when using the air conditioning, as the system is designed to prevent outside air from affecting the room’s temperature. In our initial room, the window was broken and could not be closed, so the air conditioning did not work. The hotel staff quickly took action and changed our room. Thank you very much."

"Location: It is located in a Dutch residential area 4 kilometers away from the center of the old city of Heidelberg, so the location is on the outskirts of the city. If you rent a car privately, it is no problem. If you want to walk out at night, don't choose this hotel. On the navigation route, we turned around several times due to road construction, and I thought we had chosen a rural area. The hotel is very cost-effective and much cheaper than the old town. The breakfast is a typical German breakfast, which is very good. The hotel is small, with only thirty or forty rooms, and the facilities are new. I thought I had chosen the wrong hotel, but when I had breakfast in the morning, I discovered that this hotel was highly booked by foreigners. There were almost no people of color. It was entirely a hotel occupied by Germans."

"The whole hotel looks old, and the bathroom door in the room can't be closed. The air conditioning has problems—it's constantly cold, and there is no heating. However, the front desk staff and restaurant service personnel are relatively friendly. The breakfast selection is also quite rich. However, compared to four-star hotels in Taiwan, the facilities here seem outdated. Taiwan’s hotels are newer and cleaner, and the food selection is also more abundant."

"Luggage storage before check-in worked great and very courteous gentleman at the reception area. Telephone availability previously generated band, very ugly. Check-in itself was unfortunately rather sobering due to the change in staff. Also, immediately after check-in, a pushy bartender who wanted to mix cocktails for me. Unfortunately, that didn't go away when I went out to smoke and had to go through the ”lobby”. Hotel room unfortunately the stockiest of all, despite the most expensive costs on my trip. Huge TV, nice bed, great duvet, air conditioning, design equipment... but unfortunately completely impractical, so that there was not only space to unpack my suitcase and cosmetics in the bathroom. No, unfortunately the desk was so close to the bed that there were bruises when walking around. Big plus seen too late though. Kettle with instant coffee, milk and sugar/tea was available in the room. "

"This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to Germany. It's conveniently located next to the train station and right next to the bus stop, and the soundproofing is excellent. I stayed on the side facing the train station, and with the windows closed, I couldn't hear any train noise. The decor is new, and the beds are quite comfortable. The only downside is that the single bed and kitchen are in the same room, which can disturb the person in the single bed if they have to cook in the morning. A partition between the single bed and the dining area would be much better. The toilet and washroom are separate, which is convenient for use during rush hour. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, a microwave, and a stove. The only drawback is that the appliances are complicated to use; it took me a while to figure out how to cook. Overall, although the space isn't large, it's small but perfectly formed and cleverly designed. I would suggest a few improvements: firstly, the countertop under the entryway mirror should be large enough to hold a hairdryer; the countertop is too small. A small railing or shelf could be added. Secondly, a partition could be added between the kitchen and the small bedroom. Everything else is perfect."

"The location is okay, about a 15-minute walk from Heidelberg Central Station. The room was very spacious. I really liked the pantry area – it had everything we needed: a small fridge, dishwasher, induction cooker, coffee maker, and full kitchenware. Very convenient. The bathroom was also large and suitable for elderly people or anyone needing extra care. It had heated floors, good hot water, and strong water pressure. The only downside was no toiletries like toothbrush or comb, but they do provide basic items like tissues and toilet paper. The bed, pillows, and blanket were comfortable. The room light was a bit dim when the curtains were closed. It would be nice if slippers were provided. The air conditioning and heating worked very well. The price was fair for Germany. Breakfast costs £17 if you book in advance, or £19 if you walk in. The breakfast had a wide variety of standard European options."

"Traveling for business. A better choice than my previous stay at a hotel behind the Heidelberg bahnof station. It was out of my expectation that the room includes a bathtub. Very nice and smiley staff makes one feel truly welcomed. Ample parking space. Fair selection of foods for breakfast. I would most certainly choose Leonardo Hotel Heidelberg when I return to this city."

"A very bad experience. I checked into the hotel on the night of January 30, 25. After checking in, I took a door card to a nearby supermarket to buy some snacks. When I came back, I was absent-mindedly looking at my phone and accidentally swiped the door of the next room. Shockingly, the door card of my room actually swiped the door of the other room. An Indian man in the room and I looked at each other, and then explained the whole story. We were extremely shocked. I apologized and left. Because we had traveled a long way, we were very tired that night and only stayed for one night. We left the next morning. And it was our door card that swiped the door of the next room. I didn’t know how to complain to the hotel at the time, so I used the suitcase and stool to block the door that night. I didn’t know if someone else’s door card could open our door. I drove away early the next morning."

"Heidelberg is worth visiting, it is a very comfortable city. First of all, the hotel is very close to the highway exit. Although it is on the side, it is very convenient to go to the central square. Parking on the roadside is free. The front desk guy is very humorous and street free. Of course, if you want to be safe, you can also park in the parking lot next to it for 10 euros. Secondly, although the room is small, it has everything. The bathroom is still OK and not crowded. The family room for three people is enough and feels quite warm. Finally, Heidelberg is beautiful in the morning. Walking on the Philosopher's Trail and overlooking the entire old town of Heidelberg is still very impressive. In addition, Heidelberg Castle is also worth going up. Looking at the old town from here, you can take pictures of the red bricks and white walls on the postcard."
