"Great hotel, in a fab location - close to the centre, close to our friends house. Good breakfast. The bed was quite hard, so uncomfortable for me, as I have spinal problems, but otherwise the room was fine."

"The hotel was nice even though the bathroom, which was wet room style, was not really to my taste.
Location was good within a shortish walk from the town centre. The bed let the room down as was far too firm for my liking. We were also disappointed that the window could not be opened
The breakfast was ok but a little disappointed that fried eggs could not be available. But all in all, not a bad choice for an overnight stay"

"On booking this room for our anniversary I was expecting a slightly bigger bathroom I also asked if it was convenient to have a quiet room with a bath, sadly we didn't and we were right next to a main door in the hallway so quiet wasn't what we had, breakfast was ok but definitely over priced. The decor in our room was very tired with paint peeling stains on the chair, chunks of wood missing on skirting boards definitely needs an update
The staff though especially the lady who checked us in was really lovely and welcoming š"

"Nicki on reception (well she was covering everywhere!) needs an appreciation post to herself. She checked us in at 10pm, was so friendly and efficient and then she was on reception at 8am the next morning and also checked us in to breakfast! She was the star of the place by a long way!"

"Because I went to school here seven years ago, this is the hotel closest to the train station. I came out and it didnāt take two minutes to walk. This time I came back for honeymoon. Because itās close to the station, itās convenient to go anywhere. The rooms are normal and soundproofed. The breakfast is too good. My daughter-in-law likes coffee. Costaās special breakfast is better than holiday inn, but the room is not as good as the holiday inn in London. Next time I come to Ai Village, I will stay here again. Recommend BTW The second one is the Chinese restaurant we used to eat. The third one next is my student dormitory, not far from the hotel, and finally put a photo of my alma mater to miss cu next time."

"A last minute booking as we were passing through Exeter visiting family. The room was decent with a comfy bed. There was a little noise from the courtyard outside playing music at night which stopped about 10pm. No issue. Great central location and a relaxed night. No complimentary toiletries š§“not even a toothbrush šŖ„- which is just a pain to have to go and buy them. I asked at reception and he just shook his head. š¤·āļø99% of hotels we stay at have them - seems a little tight 𤣠- anyway no issues with the room or location so weād stay here again if needed. š"

BBig fafaThe hotel is located close to the city, very convenient, the service staff is very friendly, the breakfast is rich and delicious, the staff are very hard to entertain, walking to the Central train station is very close
CchenkeValue for money indeed. Never expect such a spacious and well-refurbished room at such an amazing price. Would recommend it to anyone who visit Exeter since itās located exactly at the city centre and within 10 or 15 minutes walk from both railway stations.
AAnonymous UserStayed here for one night in August. Was really impressed with the Telstar. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room was cosy (I had a single room) and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and fab location in town for Exeter St Davidās or Exeter Central station. Will definitely stay again when passing through!
MM254922****The room was very clean and comfortable, and the scenery outside the window was very good. Some facilities such as a kettle have more scale, but it is also an understandable place. It will be very quiet at night overall, but it depends on whether the person living next door speaks loudly, otherwise you will clearly hear the noise of the human voice and have difficulty sleeping. This is also the only unsatisfactory point for me is the poor sound insulation. The restaurant in this hotel is very good, the breakfast is quite rich and the toast is very delicious. I believe this is one of the reasons I will choose to stay here. I hope to continue to maintain the advantages and try to improve the sound insulation problem, thank you.
SSan NaikAs usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. Itās a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area.
GGuest UserOur superior king room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Very large bathroom too with a large bath and separate shower cubicle. Bed was very comfortable and the room had lovely views. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We drove to the hotel from the A38 to the hotel and the lanes were narrow (as are many lanes in Devon and Cornwall) but the drive through Haldon Forest was beautiful. We drove out the other way through Ide village onto the A30 which was a bit wider! Would definitely stay again.
GGillfromUKThe Mercure is centrally located 5 mins walk from the centre of the city and the Cathedral. Our room on the third floor was clean and serviceable although some of the furniture had seen better days. Car parking is available and costs £15 per day which is cheaper than the public car parking across the road.  Families note, pool costs £10/adult. (Children free)
GGuest UserWe stayed at the Premier Inn, as we had an event to attend in Exeter. It is a great position to get about. There is a Brewers Fayre next door, which is cheap and convenient. We stayed 2 nights and the parking was £16
