The Holiday Inn Express WAIKIKI by IHG is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Honolulu, having been recently renovated in 2024. From the hotel, Honolulu International Airport is just 14km away. This hotel is located near many of Honolulu's attractions including Atlantis Submarines Waikiki, Honolulu Zoo and Fort DeRussy Beach Park. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Honolulu hotel offers parking on site.

"The hotel has a parking lot, a small gym, and a swimming pool, all fully equipped. There's even a small microwave in the room, which is quite convenient for heating up food. Shell and Foodhall are right next door, and it's less than a 5-minute drive away. Since it's a newly opened hotel this year, everything looks very new and clean, and it was indeed very well cleaned. There's even hand sanitizer next to the elevator, which is reassuring, haha. Driving to the airport the next morning only took about 20 minutes, very convenient. I recommend it for a short stay~"

The Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach, Honolulu is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Honolulu. From the hotel, Honolulu International Airport is approximately 15km away. Traveling to and from the airport is easy with Honolulu International Airport located approximately 15km away. This hotel is located near many of Honolulu's attractions including Waikīkī Beach, Duke's Canoe Club and Waikiki Trolley. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"Location: in Waikiki, fine for main tourist area, short walk to beach Room: decent size, has microwave, fridge, etc,. but poor hot water in shower, especially at night. maybe lots of people using, but couldn’t get even 5 seconds of hot water for 5-10 min on multiple nights Noise: not too much street noise, soundproofing between rooms okay, however I believe because of the doors that are used for connecting rooms, could very clearly hear neighbours talk at times Service: pretty friendly staff when needed help, albeit a bit slow Amenities: smaller but nice pool, mandatory resort fee covers things like umbrella and beach chair rental, but the place to get them is a 10-15 walk away. Kind of far away. Wifi fine. Overall, not bad. Obviously can get pricey during peak times."

The Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Honolulu will find that the Hilton Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa is a fantastic accommodation choice. Honolulu International Airport is the closest major transportation option, approximately 17km away. The nearest airport is Honolulu International Airport, approximately 17km from the hotel. With multiple attractions nearby including Waikīkī Beach, Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Statue and Duke's Canoe Club, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. "Hilton waikiki resort and spa Check in was seamless the receptionist was knowledgable and informed us about multiple things to do /places to eat 8/10 The carpet in the hall ways proved difficult with 3 suitcases each so if you have numerous cases help maybe the easier option.4/10 The room was spotless on arrival could still smell the cleaning agent. The room was spacious two queen beds small balcony with table n 2 chairs. Tv/fridge/dvd player all great. Rent a dvd option is great lots to choose from. Just make sure you return it. 8/10 The iron however must not get used or inspected as when we went to use this it spit out black gunk and grit. So be careful with that. We did call for a new one and someone came within 20 minutes gave us a new one and took the old one. The lady cleaning our room was fantastic! she was there 9 out of 10 days of our stay nothing was too much trouble, we gave her a great tip for all her hard work! 10/10 The pool area does not get the sun all day so if you are a sun worshipper be aware there is times the pool area is fully shaded but it is clean - we were there December 3-13 and there was no fighting for a bed so to speak. In the height of summer that could be an issue. The pool area has 2 cabanas ($100) and 6 day beds ($45) these are an extra charge and were never used by anyone in our 10 day trip. Extra loungers that are free would be much more useful to customers in such a small space in our opinion. There is a small smokers section for those who need it. The pool bar offers drinks and snacks the service was friendly and efficient it is cashless so need card or phone with you unless you charge to room. The food menu was okay price wise (chicken tenders and fries $18) the drinks prices are elevated but i guess that is expected in the hotel bar (bucket of 4 small cans of beer or seltzer 330ml ish $25) 7/10 You can collect you pool towels at the pool using ur room card but Be aware that you have to return your towels as there is a $25 fee if you do not. We used the main stairs daily unfortunately these do not get cleaned as often as you would think. We reported spill marks on the main stairs on the second day. It was like someone spilled their cup of tea or coffee, 9 days later the spillage marks are still there. To some this might seem pedantic but this hotel is a Hilton costing approximately (AUD $3967) (USD $2580) (GPB £1929) for 10 nights bed n breakfast a clean lobby and staircase should be standard. 1/10 Be aware they offer grand vacation timeshares in their lobby unless you want to waste 1/2 a day of your holiday do not sign up it is not only 2 hours. Also do not let the staff “inflate” your income to make you eligible to sign up. They Conservatively start from USD $30,000 so if you have that to invest in your future holidays this will get you the lowest levels of Hilton timeshare points available. This is pushed in the lobby while you enquire about day trips out. 1/10 Breakfast which was included in the cost of our stay was basic there was not much variety but there was fresh fruit each day. 5/10 Overall our stay was a 7/10"

"Nice spot close to the beach. Rooms are clean and spacious but the building is a bit old. Pricey a bit. There are other similarly priced hotels that are a better deal for the money in the area. Building is only 20 floors - so ocean/mountain view is kinda limited. Breakfast is just okay. Its mostly the same menu everyday for people with dietary restrictions. Same fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread etc. no pancakes or waffles."

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is one of the newest hotels in Honolulu, having been renovated in 2024. From the hotel, Honolulu International Airport is just 14km away. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. Guests of this Honolulu hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"The Rainbow Tower is perfect for a family of four, with two spacious queen-sized beds (1.5 meters wide). This tower is one of the newer buildings within the Hilton property. A higher floor offers better views. We were on the 30th floor (upgrading to an ocean view room costs an additional $65 per day, which we didn't do). Facing directly towards the Reef Island, and with half the ocean visible, it’s a 'semi-ocean view' and still offers excellent vistas. On the day we checked in, there was some small trash left in the toilet that hadn't been cleaned. We were too late and tired to call the front desk, but when we returned from our outing the next day, it had been thoroughly cleaned, and the beds were made (we left a dollar tip each day we went out). There's no kettle in the room, nor is drinking water provided. Bring a cup, and you can get water from the purifiers downstairs. There's a coffee machine, but the water inlet had a lot of scale, so it didn't look very clean, and we didn't use it. **Convenience:** The beach is right downstairs, along with several swimming pools. It's super convenient to be able to get back to the room for a shower within 5 minutes after playing in the water. **Dining:** Across from the Rainbow Tower is Tropics Bar & Grill, which serves breakfast and lunch. It's a bit more expensive than outside the hotel, but the food is good. Coffee here is $6 with unlimited refills, and you can even take a cup to go when you leave. For kids who don't like meat, I recommend the pancakes. For meat-lovers, try the Sunrise Sando. Their signature Tropical Acai Bowl is a smoothie made from blended berries and ice, topped with granola, banana, and strawberries. It tastes a bit like ice cream and is great for cooling down after sun exposure. There's also an excellent ice cream shop in the hotel; the line starts forming around 5 PM, and one scoop costs $7.99. **Shopping:** There's an ABC Store right in the hotel, where you can buy just about anything. I compared prices, and they weren't much different from outside the hotel. There's also a cookie shop where you can sample before buying. They offer local specialties, perfect for souvenirs. **Friday Fireworks:** There are fireworks on Friday night. While simple and short, watching them from the beach is still very enjoyable. They start at 7:45 PM, so go early to the beach by the lagoon island to get a front-row spot for a clearer view. **Tips:** Keep the small card you receive at check-in handy; you can use it to get free towels on the beach. If you have kids, definitely take them to the children's pool next to the Rainbow Tower. It has three waterslides and two small hot spring pools – kids can play there all day."

"I usually book with the Marriott down the street whenever I’m in Waikiki but I opted to try the Hyatt for the first time; it was also a little cheaper than the Marriott the day that I went. I got a King room with a city view on the 7th floor. The room was large, clean and one of the corners of the tower so it had a curving layout. Overall the room was clean, bed was comfortable, A/C was cold. My only little gripe was in the bathroom, there weren’t any shampoos or conditioners or body wash in the tub like other hotels. Can’t say much for service since I was only there for a day but the employees I did interact with were friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again."

"We had to change rooms three times. The first room we were given was right above the garbage disposal, and then they moved us to one facing a construction site, so I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise. They just moved us to a slightly better room, but it's right next to the AC unit. I have no idea how tonight will go. It feels like I came to Hawaii just to keep switching rooms!"

11380919****The room comes with a kitchen, fully equipped with cookware, glassware, tea sets, a microwave, induction hob, juicer, and even a rice dispenser. They even give you a sports water bottle, which is super thoughtful for all the water activities. The hotel is right by a fantastic beach and a prime shopping area. The service is incredibly nice too; they offer free valet parking. When we came back to the hotel with lots of shopping bags, the staff had big shopping bags ready for us at the entrance. Such small details show how much thought they put into everything. It's really excellent!

SSevost13We stayed at this hotel from October 29 to November 4. Overall, the staff was polite and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided — which we appreciated. However, several issues significantly affected our experience. First, the accessible bathroom we specifically booked did not match the photos. There was no handheld shower head, which was important for us. Second, the mirror in the hallway was noticeably dirty upon arrival, with visible streaks from a wet cloth — quite unpleasant for a hotel of this level. I also reported that the faucet in the sink splashed water everywhere, soaking the countertop and the floor. I was told the issue would be checked, but nothing was fixed throughout our stay. The two-faucet system used to regulate water in the bathroom was also very inconvenient, and we consistently had problems with unstable hot water pressure. A separate major issue was the parking. I prepaid and reserved parking for 5 days, but on the second evening all the spots were already taken, and I was simply instructed to park in a different building nearby. This was extremely inconvenient — having to carry things from the 3rd floor of another parking structure and waste additional time. It turned out that even if you pay in advance, your parking spot is not guaranteed — anyone from outside can take it. So you pay, but end up without the service you were promised. Overall, the staff tried to provide good service, but the organizational issues, maintenance problems, and poorly managed parking system seriously reduced our comfort. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserOverall, had a nice stay and can recommend it! The room was just the right size, really nice bed and fairly well equipped. Would've liked some additional amenities and a kettle but got it sent up to the room after a quick request to the front desk. The immediate vicinity of the hotel has what you might want, a bunch of supermarkets and restaurants and isn't too noisy. Would've been a perfect stay if it wasn't for the construction ground blocking the view to the ocean (no bigger issue with noise, in case someone would be concerned). Oh, also the gym present on the premises was much more well equipped than I would've expected and should be enough for the typical gym rat to flex a little bit before going to the beach(not enough for a serious session ofc).

BBeachbuoynzThe hotel has over the last couple of years been refurbished by new owners. The pool area is now better maintained and has dedicated staff who are present at all times. The pool is large snd nicely situated. The point of difference is the shade provided by numerous umbrellas and some shade trees. There is also bar and food service to your deckchair. The rooms are midsized suitable for two people and have a good sized lanai. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. Bathroom is compact with shower over bath. Room lighting is dimmable and kettle available upon request. A safe is provided. A criticism would be the small fridge, 6 cans, a milk and a couple of yoghurts is about it. This is the best budget end hotel in Waikiki but budget still unfortunately isn't cheap these days. Overall an enjoyable stay with pool crew being the icing on the cake.

GGuest UserThere was no bottled water in the room, but I asked a staff member in the hallway for one. Water refills were available on the first and third floors (where the lobby and pool are), and ice was conveniently available on each floor. I booked the breakfast option, which included choosing one of three daily menu items. Fruit, bread, and drinks were served buffet-style, but I felt like the selection could have been a bit larger. I stayed for two nights, Friday through Sunday, and on the first Saturday morning, I arrived after opening time, so I ended up waiting in line and sharing a table. On Sunday morning, I arrived before opening time, but they were already open. I think they probably opened early on Saturdays as well. So I recommend going early. There are plenty of places to eat outside the hotel, so I'm glad I didn't book breakfast included. The building was apparently renovated about three years ago, but it's old, and the door would have closed unless I pushed it from the inside. lol. But thanks to that, it was relatively affordable for Waikiki, so I was able to book an ocean view room! Although it is located on the outskirts of Waikiki, there is a Pink Line bus stop right in front of the hotel, which is convenient, and there is a breakwater right across the road to the beach, so you can swim in the shallow water safely. I recommend it as a beach location.

While room dated, it clean, full amenities and comfortable bed. Pool, restaurant and was given voucher for 2 drinks so enjoyed cocktails in the bar with very nice staff. The service was respectful and helpful. I’d stay there again.

GGuest UserI would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they’re a very deep sleeper. The road noise is impossible to sleep with. I’ll be complaining soon and seeking a part refund. Even with earplugs I couldn’t sleep enough. (There was also no bottled water. Even in countries with drinking tap water, hotel rooms get theirs from tanks so it’s not recommended.)

MmrKarstenStaying at Manoa Inn feels like stepping into a living piece of Honolulu’s layered past. This plantation-style historical house is full of quiet character, from its timeworn woodwork to the gentle creak of its stairways. The inn is surrounded by gardens that seem to breathe—ferns unfolding, orchids slipping open, birds singing from hidden corners. One morning, I sipped coffee to the chatter of parrots and caught the city unfolding below through a frame of palms. The location is as thoughtful as the house itself—steps away from the East-West Center, the serene carp garden, and the Manoa Japanese Tea House. Nearby cafés and small eateries feed both hunger and curiosity without fanfare. Nothing here feels manufactured. The inn doesn’t shout for attention—it invites you to listen, to linger, to notice. I left with a sense of having not just visited, but having been quietly welcomed.

DDanielWe were a bit disappointed initially with the cleanliness as there was a stain on the bed sheet upon entering the room. Thankfully, housekeeping changed it within the hour. The place is located in a central location, close to the beachfront at Waikiki, with a partnership with beachfront stores for beach equipment, as well as GoPros, sunscreen, lotion etc. that can be borrowed, included in the resort rate. However, the age of the hotel is really starting to show, it is in need of not just a touch up but an overhaul where possible. To be fair, the price, especially that paid for during this period, was a fair representation especially compared to neighbouring downtown hotels, given you do receive much more space and a kitchenette with microwave in the case of the 1 bedroom suite. However, I would say that I would have enjoyed my stay far more if at least some work was put in to modernise the space. In particular, my bathtub had peeling paint, and the colours of the room need some work.
