There's a communal kitchen (open from 6:00 AM - 10 PM). 4. You can get beach equipment (like surfboards) for a deposit. 5. There are plenty of food stores and cafes nearby. 6. They offer excursions. 7. There's a locker in the room, but you'll need your own lock. There's a lot of traffic on the island's roads."

The room was clean when I entered, and set to 61 degrees F. The room looks a bit dated, but the hot water is superb and the bed comfortable. "The location is good as there is Waikiki Market nearby and you can walk to Waikiki Beach and Kapiolani Park. The downside of this hostel was that it was hot, but I gave a thin blanket and slept with only a quilt. The advantage is that it is narrow because it is a window, but it is less stuffy and has a microwave, coffee maker, black tea, dish spoon fork, shower supplies, enough towels, etc. Rooms are not cleaned, laundry facilities are available, and chair boards to be taken to the beach are rented for free.
