Nanning Hotels with Gym

"Having previously stayed at Mingyuan Hotel's Building 1 during a Dragon Boat Festival trip to Nanning (booked by a friend) and had a rather pleasant experience, I decided to book here again for my solo trip. For this three-night stay, the hotel kindly upgraded me from the booked Building 1 to Building 2. In contrast, while Building 2 is a few dozen meters further from the main entrance, it's newly renovated and looks much more modern inside. The flooring also didn't have the previous issues (as detailed in my earlier review), and the hygiene was noticeably better. Additionally, the surroundings of the building are nicer, and its proximity to the pool made for an even more comfortable stay. I must reiterate that Mingyuan Hotel's location is incredibly convenient! Upon leaving the hotel, I took a shared e-bike to Nanning Station, and the ride took only about 10 minutes. As it's located in the old town area, there are plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment. This time, I happily discovered many more delicious small eateries! If I had to nitpick about Mingyuan Hotel, one thing would be that drinking water isn't provided in unlimited quantities. (To be fair, for a room rate of just over 100 RMB, it's hard to complain much, especially since a bottle only costs ¥2, comparable to outside prices.) The other minor issue was that the toilet flush sometimes felt a bit weak, not always clearing completely."

"The room was well-equipped and even had a small refrigerator, which was very helpful in the summer. Their breakfast was highly recommended; it was self-service, with a wide variety of options, and was nutritious and delicious. It was clean, and even the most tidy areas were spotlessly clean. There's a subway station just 50 meters from the hotel, making it very convenient to get around. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, answering every question. The housekeeping staff were also very helpful, and items were delivered promptly. They also had a free gym, which was a big plus!"

"We stayed during the May Day holiday, and the room was almost full. The front desk upgraded us to a suite. The stay experience was particularly good. We had a good rest after 4 days of fun and were not tired at all. Although it is not a new hotel, it is well maintained overall, with details in place. The shower head is very big, and it heats up as soon as it is turned on, and the water is unobstructed, which is much better than many new hotels. The service is also very good. All the staff are very discerning. They greet each other as soon as they meet and help with things, especially Xiao Lu at the front desk. He pays attention to our needs and experience, and is very thoughtful. The service is warm and considerate. The hotel is located on the edge of Nanhu Lake, just across the road, and it is also close to Langxi Night Market, which can be reached by riding a small electric donkey. The morning tea on the 48th floor is also a hot spot in the city. It is made to order and is a restaurant worth a special visit. I will stay at Mingdu again when I go to Nanning next time."

"We stayed at this hotel because our flight arrived late, and we wanted to stay close to the airport as we had an early departure the next morning. It was very convenient—I contacted them beforehand, and they offered a pickup service from the airport with clear instructions, which made everything simple and stress-free. Check-in was smooth, and the room was clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay."

"Clean and hygienic, with comfortable bedding. The location is great, not far from the commercial district, offering peace and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. The front desk staff and cleaning personnel were all very friendly. The breakfast was a bit disappointing; although inexpensive, the variety was limited. When I went, it wasn't even 9:30 AM, but there was no minced meat left for the hot noodles. There was a chef-like person, and I asked if more could be added. He mumbled something unintelligible, and I waited while eating, but he never brought any out. The plain noodles were tasteless and inedible."

"The hotel is within walking distance of several large shopping malls, so even during the Chinese New Year, you don't have to worry about finding food, as most restaurants in the malls stay open. The hotel's location is excellent, with a subway station right outside. Taxis aren't expensive, and it's not too far to places like Qingxiu Mountain or the old city for some rice noodles. The room is pretty standard for a business trip – nothing outstanding, nothing terrible. However, the elevators can be a pain during peak hours. This is because they share the same set of elevators with a restaurant open to the public, compounded by the high occupancy during the Chinese New Year holiday. In the mornings, you might have to wait for several lifts just to get downstairs. The hotel's fitness facilities seem to be outsourced, but the swimming pool was wonderfully warm in winter, perfect for a swim – definitely a plus point! I was there for the 'Old Friend Noodles' (Lao You Fen), so I didn't get to try the hotel's dining options."

"Christy took us to our room and she is extremely helpful. She is an asset to the hotel and she should be voted employee of the year. Christy responded efficiently and quickly in every matters. She is able to give us advice on transportation in every aspect. We will able to communicate with her when we had difficulties in going back to Nanning when we were in Detian Waterfall. Without her help we will be truly stuck. The location of the hotel is near to Landong bus station as well as the hi speed railway station. The hotel is about 6 mins walk from the subway. 10 minutes walk to loads of street food and restaurant."

"This hotel is simply amazing! I had initially booked another hotel, but when I arrived in Nanning at 5 AM, they wouldn't let me check in. I came to this Galaxy Hotel just to use their restroom and was immediately impressed by how incredibly friendly and helpful the front desk attendant was. I decided on the spot to switch to this hotel. Even though it was still before official check-in time, after I waited in their lobby until 7 AM, they kindly allowed me to check in. They even offered me a complimentary herbal tea. The room was spacious and the price was very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they also have dim sum on the top floor, and it was absolutely delicious! I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanning! Oh, and a side note: the dim sum was very reasonably priced, and the shrimp in the dishes were huge! If you can't finish your dim sum, they even offer to deliver the leftovers to your room whenever you'd like!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location. It's incredibly convenient for transportation, just a two to three-minute walk from the subway station, allowing easy access to all corners of the city. If you choose to take a taxi to Nanning East High-Speed Rail Station, it's only a short ten-minute ride, saving a significant amount of travel time. The staff's service attitude is outstanding, especially Moon, Pink, Joyce, and Freya at the service center. They are not only warm and attentive but also patiently and thoroughly answer all inquiries. They enthusiastically recommend local dining and entertainment options, making every guest feel genuinely cared for. This trip, due to my schedule, I needed a slightly later checkout, and they graciously offered a complimentary late checkout until 4 PM, which was very accommodating. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, featuring a swimming pool and a well-equipped gym with plenty of exercise machines. The breakfast and Chinese restaurants are located on the 6th floor. Breakfast is quite varied, offering both Western and Chinese options to suit different tastes. The hotel is right next to the large shopping mall, Hangyang City, and Mixc City is also not far, making dining, shopping, and strolling very convenient. What's more, you can directly access the second floor of the mall from the hotel lobby, which is incredibly handy. As night falls, the surrounding night view of the hotel is absolutely stunning, like a captivating painting. This prime location and excellent service make this hotel an ideal choice for both business travelers and leisure tourists."

"This reservation was specifically for picking up people at Nanning East Station. Because the time was relatively early, we arrived at the station a day in advance. It was very convenient to enter and exit the station. The hotel is newly opened and the configuration is relatively new. The only thing is that not every room has a window."
