"This was my first trip to Nanning, and as it was our wedding anniversary, we chose the renowned Shangri-La Hotel. First, let's talk about the location. It's right above MixC City and conveniently connected to Metro Line 1. A taxi ride to Qingxiu Mountain takes about 20 minutes. The hotel contacted us a few days in advance via WeChat, and the butler service provided by Alice was excellent. Our room was decorated, and we even received an anniversary cake. The hotel also provided complimentary welcome fruits, Guangxi official document fruit tea, and afternoon tea. The lobby is on the 1st floor, check-in is on the 68th floor, the restaurant is on the 5th floor, and the spa and swimming pool are on the 71st floor. Food deliveries can be sent to the ground floor, and the concierge will bring them to your room, which is a really nice touch. The service from Butler Alice and her team members Rose, Liya, Jenna, and Ally was outstanding! [Strong] Overall, our stay was fantastic. If I had to pick one downside, it would probably be the parking lot, as there's no direct access to the hotel."

"After much deliberation, I chose this hotel in Nanning, and after reading many reviews, I felt it was a good choice once I checked in. The front desk staff had a great attitude; Rita, in particular, spoke softly and politely ☺️☺️ and helped me upgrade to a room with a fantastic view. The only downside was that the soundproofing of the glass at night wasn't ideal. The room itself was standard, very clean, and tidy. I initially considered booking breakfast but decided to try some local Nanning specialties instead. The hotel's location was very convenient for evening strolls, being connected to Hangyang Mall, which was incredibly helpful. I visited Qingxiu Mountain in Nanning, and while it was really hot at that time, it was definitely worth going to experience nature. The hotel's facilities were quite comprehensive, and the staff on the floors were also very polite. Opting for a branded hotel really does make for a more comfortable and reassuring stay. I would still highly recommend it. One suggestion: the air conditioning unit needs to be checked for noise. "This is an old, established five-star hotel in Nanning, located in the railway station commercial area, directly opposite the Sanjie Liangxiang Historical and Cultural District. You can go there in the evening to enjoy the night views and taste local snacks. Transportation is convenient, with direct high-speed trains to the airport. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the service is quite good. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, including Nanning's local specialties. It's suitable for both business and leisure travelers."

"Bringing my family to Nanning, I chose the family two-bedroom connecting room at this hotel, and the experience was absolutely flawless. Regarding the room: The design of the connecting room is excellent. Close the two doors, and it's a private world; open them, and it's a joyful family space. The room is extremely spacious, with no cramped feeling for three adults. The tea table in the living room was our favorite spot for tea and chats every evening. Regarding the service: A special thanks to the hotel for their thoughtful arrangements. Knowing we had an evening flight, they allowed us to check out late at 4 PM. This humane consideration made our trip very relaxed. We could even go back to the room for a comfortable nap in the afternoon, and there was no 'rushed' feeling like we were fighting a battle when checking out. Regarding the dining: The cloud-top view at breakfast is superb, and the Laoyou noodles and five-colored glutinous rice were a big hit with my family. Dinner at the Nalian Chinese restaurant was also a first-class experience, especially the braised pork belly – it was fatty but not greasy, melted in your mouth, and incredibly delicious with rice. In Nanning, Nalian will always be our top choice. I highly recommend it to all families traveling!"

"Better maintained than I expected! I was initially hesitant to book, fearing the hotel might be old, but a 5-star is a 5-star. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Parking is convenient, and the location is great with everything you need nearby. The hotel's front desk is even a popular spot for photos! I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance; it offers great value for money. Plus, the best Thai milk tea is right nearby—it couldn't be more perfect!"

"The location is convenient, with a bus stop right outside and Metro Line 1 nearby, making it easy to get around to all parts of the city. My favorite place to go was MixC shopping mall. However, after a few days exploring Nanning, I found that staying in the old town area was even more convenient. A pleasant surprise was the abundance of e-scooters in Nanning, which made solo travel very easy. The hotel facilities are a bit dated. The floorboards are cracked, and the balcony door doesn't close properly. On New Year's Eve, it got quite windy, and it felt a bit like staying in Wuthering Heights. There was a disposable liner for the bathtub, but no bath salts. The laundry room had many washing machines, but they weren't very efficient. The wash-and-dry combo damaged my 'bird' jacket. It seems they prioritize quantity over quality. Take Hanting hotels, for example, they have three LG washer and dryer units that use low-temperature drying, which doesn't harm clothes and significantly reduces waiting times for guests. The hotel service was very good; the butler was attentive and followed up constantly, doing their best to meet guests' needs. However, the hotel's management style seems to focus too much on KPI assessments rather than genuine guest satisfaction. This leads to them being a bit pushy in trying to get 5-star reviews. Guests who can afford this price point likely won't be swayed by sob stories or small favors, given their discernment and financial standing. Overall, I still recommend it; it offers good value for money."

"The hotel's location is great, just a short walk to Zhongshan Road. It's an old-school hotel, and eating breakfast there immediately transported me back to my college days. Back then, most star-rated hotels had this exact style. It felt like time had reset, and I was filled with so much nostalgia. If only time could go back! While the decor is a bit old, the cleanliness and service are definitely up to par. They even offer airport shuttle service. If I ever get the chance to visit Nanning again, I'd very likely choose this hotel. I believe many nostalgic 70s and 80s born people would enjoy this feeling as much as I do. Highly recommend!"

"Looking for a quick weekend getaway, I booked this hotel. The check-in process was smooth, with the front desk staff being friendly and attentive. The room itself was surprisingly spacious – I could spread my luggage out without it feeling cluttered, and the facilities were pristine, like a 5-star hotel. The next day, I stepped right out to Nanhu Lake and enjoyed a refreshing walk around it. For the price, the service and location were incredible. "While not a brand-new hotel, the service is absolutely top-notch in every aspect, the environment is very clean, and the landscaping is well-maintained. We stayed here to attend Jay Chou's concert, and they thoughtfully provided shuttle buses, which was a really nice touch. The hotel restaurant serves excellent food, definitely worth trying, and the afternoon tea is fantastic value for money. Aside from needing a taxi for getting around, everything else was great."

"Coming back from Wuzhou and transiting through Nanning, I decided to stay for a night due to the weather, which also gave me a chance to get a feel for Nanning, learn about the Yongjiang River, understand Guangxi, and experience the 'Eight-Guangxi' culture that I had only read about in textbooks. I also took the opportunity to visit the Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum. The hotel is an older one; the facilities are decent, but the breakfast could be better."
