Lisbon Hostels

"The bed was genuinely big and comfortable, but unfortunately, I ended up sharing the room with two elderly people. This isn't ageism, but every time I stay in a hostel and there are older guests, their snoring is incredibly loud, and their routines are completely different from mine. If you're planning to stay here, be aware that there seem to be quite a few older guests, so if that's something you're sensitive about, this might not be the best place for you."

"The hotel's hygiene is also good, but unfortunately there is no private bathroom. It is very easy to move, the metro station is just below. There are many restaurants nearby."

"Great location and the best thing is that it was social, had a nice kitchen and water fountain, as well as games and an outdoor area with BBQ and sky hammock. The only thing was it did smell in some areas (luggage area and room)"

"The room was great, with an en-suite bathroom and very clean bedding. Its central location made it convenient to get to all the attractions. Overall, it was excellent, and the price was quite reasonable, offering great value for money, especially if you're a solo traveler."

"It's the second time I stay here. I really like this place. The location is great (many restaurants, craft beer, and easy subway access), the staff is friendly and diligent. They offer a wide range of prices from shared dormitories to private rooms. This time I chose a private room instead of the dormitory. It was small but very clean and I had a balcony. Shared bathroom and showers were very clean."

"the location of the hostel was good — The Hygge Kaffe (amazing cafe) is located just next door. one downside is that as we took the room on the top floor (ie 3/F), the lift doesn’t reach , it only goes up to 2/F, hence you would have to carry your suitcases"

"Exactly located in city centre, it is very convenient. Restaurants, bar, coffee shops, supermarkets, metro, bus, shopping are nearby. The staff are very helpful, nice and friendly.  The hostel is having great atmosphere and good vibe especially living rooms and kitchen. The shared room is great and having all common facilities that we need plus individual fan, socket, light, locker and curtains. Also, they are providing free breakfast everyday. Need to pay for the towel 2 Euro for each and hair dryer is available for free at the reception.  The hostel is wooden floor and a bit noisy during the night. The rooms next to the street might get some noise from outside. Only 2 toilets and 3 showers for shared dorm but fine."

"The facilities with an imperfect cleaning, the room we stayed was very large, and consequently the heating plates were not enough for a medium-cold day, we spent a little cold rsrsrs, breakfast was very basic only bread, Mantequilla, presunto, mustard milk and coffee"

"Decent location. Room size was fair however the floors could have been cleaner. The blanket was very thin and even with the heat on, I had to fold the blanket in half so that I would be warmer. The room was quite noisy, I could hear people talking in the hallways, their rooms, and there is quite a lot of traffic by the elevator. The bathroom was ok, the shower water pressure was nice but the temperature control was a bit difficult to turn. The sink water did not have any warm water option, and it felt quite wasteful every time you needed water from the sink it would keep running until it turned off. The wifi was spotty at times but when it did work it was fine. They had a bar and welcome drink which was nice, the outside patio also looked cute. The breakfast was a bit disappointing: toast, cereal, some fruit, and cucumbers and tomatoes. One gentleman asked for coffee and the attendant pointed to the machine and said ”it's all there”, but when I looked at the machine, all the coffee options said ”unavailable”. The machine needed some cleaning as well. The selection of teas were quite nice though. The location is decent, about 10 min walk from the start of the Avenida da Liberdade. They do have a kitchen on the ground floor if you preferred to cook your own meal (which would have been better than the disappointing dinner I had). They offer walking tours too which is cool. Typical hostel experience."

"It was a very good experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was quiet, and the bathrooms were always clean with hot water. The kitchen has basic utensils. The location is good, with a market nearby and a metro station about a ten-minute walk away. The metro is well signposted, which makes it easy to get around the city without much difficulty. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. Furthermore, for women traveling alone, it's a safe and quiet place to stay."
