I had a wonderful stay at the Hanlai Hotel! The sea view from my room was absolutely stunning, creating a relaxing and scenic atmosphere. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. The location was also convenient, close to attractions and dining options.

The renovation was just completed in 2024. The environment is very clean, the floor is very high, the distance between rooms is very wide, and the space feels very spacious! The sound insulation is very good. I am a person who is relatively sensitive to sound. Although I am close to the lift, I can't hear any noise. The room also has a Japanese-style service feel. There is a small paper crane placed on the bed to welcome us. Moreover, the electrical appliances in the room and the accommodation are all Japanese brands😆 The gym is very open and open. If you like sports, it has complete facilities. You must go! Next time I come to Kaohsiung, I want to stay again😆

We checked-in relatively late in the evening and unable to have both rooms on the same level. The receptionist was kind enough to explain every details. Room wise, its indeed spacious and clean, with a great view of Kaohsiung. However, during our first breakfast at their restaurant, their staffs didn't communicate well. We told one of their staff that we wanted a table near to the window and he told us he will clear the table for us and told us to grab our food. When we came back, someone else sat on our table and claimed that the other staff brought them to this table. it was such a bad and inconvenient experience. During second breakfast, found a baby cockroach in their century egg porridge. The only solution that provided was to recook the pot of porridge. feels like the restaurant service is definitely lacking.

Excellent service, spacious accommodation, convenient location, generous supplies or amenities and wonderful varieties for breakfast. We had two of the Best Japanese meals in Kaohsiung on the 3rd floor of this outstanding hotel.

I had a great time at this hotel and I was exceptionally pleased with the young gentleman named Benson at the club lounge. The service he showed at breakfast was incredible and I can see from his service that he is very passionate and professional in his work. And my husband loved the cocktails as well. This was the perfect spot for me personally because I was able to explore a few local areas. I took the HSR from Taipei and stayed only one night. I met a few locals within walking distance and the Central Park is a nice feature across the street. Although the Pier 2 Creative Park is still in the process of developing itself, I felt it was well worth it to go there for food, drinks, photos, and exploring there. The hotel room itself was amazing. As soon as I walked in I took a bunch of photos and posted on Facebook because I felt it was cooler than my apartment. I did not order the breakfast but I did have coffee from the café. There’s a few cute diners and photo shops down the street. There’s a dog café and a cat café not far from the hotel. Staff was very friendly. I had a teatime at intercontinental (which was a droll vibe), and I’m glad I chose not to stay there. I feel that Indigo gives a great value for the money and the design specialists were really detailed-oriented with some of the things they included in the rooms. Facilities were great. View was nice. Go see for yourself.
