We enjoyed our stay at Ocean Shanghai Hotel. The room was spacious and perfect for our family of four. The beds were huge and comfortable, and we liked having a bathtub and a small living area with a couch. The room had a cozy, rustic charm that made it feel welcoming. The breakfast was good with plenty of options to choose from. We also had dinner at the revolving restaurant on the 27th floor, which offered lovely city views. Be sure to make a reservation in advance if you plan to dine there. Note that the breakfast area is on the 1st floor and separate from the revolving restaurant. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. A few minor things could be improved. The shampoo and body wash provided were quite small and not enough for a family of four. Complimentary bottled water was limited, and extra bottles came at an additional cost. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with spacious rooms, good food, and helpful staff. We would happily stay here again.

Great place to stay at! Nice stuff, clean room and shower (which is really important). Breakfast served in the morning is really varied: from Chinese traditional to European classic. Location is very convenient - near the city center and major sightseeing, but quiet and peaceful. Easy to get to/from airport or railway stations. Definitely will stay here again!

This Holiday Inn Express offers great value for money. They have free parking and a decent breakfast. Our room usually comes with breakfast for two, but since we're a family of three, the friendly guy at the front desk kindly gave us an extra breakfast. The super big bed was especially comfortable for all three of us. There are plenty of food and drink options nearby, plus a large supermarket, and the metro station is just a few minutes away. We'd definitely choose this hotel again if we have the chance!

The hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect; I had a very comfortable stay. **Location:** The geographical location is convenient for exploring the surrounding areas, and there are authentic Jiangxi restaurants near the hotel. **Breakfast:** They thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea and late-night snacks, both of excellent quality. For someone like me who eats healthy, the breakfast selection was more than sufficient, and I could even pack some to go. The service was truly excellent. **Room:** Although many have commented on the small size, it was just right for me. It felt cozy; a larger room might have felt too empty and made it harder to sleep. **Service:** Shanghai hotels are known for being a bit cold, but Sahua was exceptional. From the moment I was greeted upon arrival to the front desk, customer service, and restaurant staff, everyone was incredibly attentive. **Layout:** The room layout was also very reasonable. I particularly dislike bathrooms being too close to the bed, as it affects my sleep. Here, there was a barrier and some distance, which was perfect. **Amenities:** The toothbrush, toothpaste, toiletries, and slippers were all better than many hotels. The hairdryer and the prepared black tea were especially commendable. **Bedding:** There was no strange odor, and the bedding was very comfortable, especially the pillows. **Minor drawbacks:** The bedside light switch only turns completely off in 'deep sleep' mode. However, in an unfamiliar environment, I prefer a faint light, so I ended up using a pillow to block the light at night. **Cleanliness:** It wasn't quite perfect; some details were missed. The glass in the bathroom had dust, and there was also dust on the doorknob button.

Our overall stay at this hotel was incredibly satisfying! The environment was clean and elegant, the common areas were tidy and comfortable, and the guest rooms were spacious and open, perfect for staying with elders and children without feeling cramped. The front desk staff were gentle and enthusiastic, patiently answering all our questions about luggage storage and directions – their service was meticulous and thoughtful. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, tasted great, and the ingredients were fresh. The location is convenient for getting around, and it offers excellent value for money. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Shanghai, highly recommended!

This hotel is right next to Dalian Road metro station, just a five-minute walk away, making it super convenient to get to North Bund Riverside and The Bund. The rooms are spotless, bright, and airy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The soundproofing is excellent, ensuring a very peaceful night's sleep. You can cast your phone screen to the TV, and the toiletries are comprehensive. The self-service breakfast offers a good balance of meat and vegetarian options. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and thoughtful, and they offer free luggage storage. For this area, it's incredible value for money. It's a great place to stay when visiting Shanghai.

I chose this hotel because I enjoy running along the Bund promenade in North Bund. The transportation is super convenient; it's about a 500-meter walk from Metro Line 12. Raffles City and Magnolia Plaza are also nearby. The streets outside the hotel are very quiet as well. The hygiene is good, the lobby is clean, and they even provide drinks, coffee, and snacks.

Atour Hotel, as always, everything is great. The hotel is very central, within walking distance to Waibaidu Bridge, the pedestrian street, and the Bund. The transportation is also excellent; if you're driving, it's green lights all the way – no need to wait at Shanghai's traffic lights, just continuous green for over 100 seconds. Highly recommend!

Overall, our stay was average not particularly good, but not that bad either. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The room was dusty, and after a couple of days I developed an allergy. The quality of housekeeping seemed to depend entirely on which staff member cleaned the room that day. When we first checked into our room, we also found hair that clearly did not belong to us and appeared to have been left by previous guests. We informed the manager about it, but we never received a clear response or explanation, which was strange. The beds were not very comfortable, and the room was quite small. However, we expected the size because we knowingly booked one of the older, non-renovated rooms. Another major downside was the lighting. The room was extremely dark, and the light switches were located right next to the bed, which was inconvenient. Even the brightest lighting mode left the room feeling dim. When making our reservation, I specifically requested a quiet room away from the elevators. Unfortunately, this request was not taken into account, and we were assigned a room directly next to the elevator. There was noticeable noise late at night from both the elevator and guests passing by, which made it difficult to fully relax. The lobby, laundry room, and gym looked modern and stylish, which was a nice. We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on the food. Not all staff members were welcoming or professional. Some seemed annoyed or even somewhat arrogant. There was one particular incident that left a negative impression on us. Through the manager, I asked if someone could refill the laundry detergent in the laundry room because all of the supplies had run out. The manager kindly replied that a staff member would come shortly. After some time, a staff member arrived. She appeared visibly irritated while showing another employee where the laundry supplies were kept. She opened the cabinet rather forcefully and began tossing the detergent and other supplies around instead of handling them with care. The situation made me feel uncomfortable, and I even felt as though I had done something wrong, even though my request was very simple. Perhaps she was just having a bad day or something, but I believe hotel staff should maintain basic professionalism and courtesy when guests are present, especially since we were sitting only an arm’s length away from where this happened. But, I would like to thank Manager Lynn, who was helpful, patient, and did her best to answer all of our questions. The hotel should continue renovating the remaining rooms and invest more in staff training and customer service. I would like to know more about the history of this building, or what stood on this site before it. Our room had a very unusual atmosphere throughout our stay. Toward the end, we genuinely felt uncomfortable spending time there. We even had an experience that we personally couldn’t explain, which left us feeling unsettled. Of course, this was only our personal impression, but it made us curious about the history of the property.

We had an early morning arrival after a long flight and were extremely tired. I had booked two rooms, and thankfully one was available, so the front desk kindly arranged an early check-in for us, which we truly appreciated. The staff were thoughtful enough to later arrange our second room close to my family members, which made our stay even more convenient. We really loved the hotel, the rooms are spacious, new, well-equipped, and very clean. The location is also very convenient, with the hotel close to the metro station. The front desk team was very helpful throughout our stay. Even after check-out, they assisted us in resolving an issue with my parcel, which we are very grateful for. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Shanghai!

Cleanliness, the age of the building, and language barriers are common in China, so you can't travel if you worry about those things! Just having a valid reservation and being able to stay without any problems was enough to increase my satisfaction. Although communication was difficult due to the language barrier from check-in to check-out, the 24-hour open doors and 24-hour staff presence made it worthwhile just for that. I was impressed by the guests' excellent awareness of travel safety. The air conditioning worked well, and the shower was warm. The fact that the place I stayed was in the suburbs meant it was quiet and safe, which was an unexpected bonus. Thanks to that, I grew to love this town and the area around the accommodation.

Location: near Red House Hospital Facilities: The decoration has a sense of age, the facilities are relatively ordinary, there is a large free parking lot, and it is valuable in the metropolis! Hygienic: The room is clean and tidy, and the public area is in good health. Service: The service staff is warm, the room provides umbrellas, and it is convenient to travel on rainy days. Like one!

The hotel has an elevator, there are subway buses nearby, and it is very convenient to travel. The room was very clean and the TV was very good. I would not put the TV on the front desk sister to help open the TV. It felt like home and the front desk service was great.

I usually choose hotels or guesthouses when traveling, but this time I chose an apartment quite by chance, and I was very satisfied. Since I wanted to stay near Ruihong Taiyang Palace for a day or two, and there were three of us traveling together, we wanted to share a room, but suitable hotels were hard to find. I happened to find Xianghe Apartment, which was renovated in 2020. It has two double beds and can accommodate four people. The facilities and location seemed good, so I booked two nights. The apartment lobby is small and simple; you need a room card to use the elevator, so security is good. The room is large, with a sofa and another row of sofas against the wall, enough for a large family. The apartment doesn't provide disposable toiletries proactively, but they can be delivered if you call. The bedding is clean and comfortable, and it's very quiet at night. The apartment doesn't offer dining, but you can find shopping and dining options near Moon Bay and Taiyang Palace downstairs. Linping subway station is also just a few minutes' walk away, super convenient. This gives me another accommodation option for future trips; I recommend it.
