Hotels in Railway Station Area, Kunming

Apart from the Wi-fi which was terrible for the entire duration of a week (doesn't make sense how this can't be solved very easily, especially if the hotel is making enough money being fully booked). Everything else was absolutely excellent! 👌🏻 The staff are beyond friendly, kind and helpful. They really go out of their way to help (except for making an effort to contact the WiFi providers). I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could do a lot of my business by having access to printing facilities within the Hotel. The swimming pool is quite nice and the staff member was really friendly, giving me a swimming cap when I didn't have. They brought me towels and water to drink. The hotel robot is always a great convenience when it comes to deliveries as it brings the delivery to your room. Breakfast is pretty good just like any top hotel. I usually repeat my stays here.

Our experience was fantastic. The hotel has a very convenient location near the city centre yet not too near so it was not noisy in the room. Plenty of amenities nearby, and the room was clean too. We were pleasantly surprised as one of us had left socks on the floor and the housekeeper even washed them. Breakfast was good as well and props to the excellent service staff who were attentive to our every need.

Very helpful and lovely reception desk which made me feel welcomed immediately. As it was low season, they upgraded our rooms to a larger one. Thank you. Location wise, they are located within a cluster of other buildings and hotels. Unlike conventional hotel, they do not have their own driveway unfortunately and the main road in front of the hotel (Youping road) isn't ideal for dropping people off nor allowed cars to hang around. That means our car had to alight us about 5 mins away and we were left to fend for ourselves navigating the area in the rain. If you have large heavy luggages or elderly and children to manage, it is advisable to ring them up in advance for direction advise. As we were international guests, we had some issues locating the hotels in the cold rain. Oh well. On the upside, helpful staff, great rooms, well-equipped with everything that you need, simple buffet breakfast. They even helped packed our last day breakfast as we have to catch an early train at the Kunming train station which is about 5-10 mins walk away. The walk is manageable even with my elderly parents but I suggest you do a quick check of the route beforehand as it is a bit of maze in Kunming city. If it rains, it could be troublesome. Fortunately, the rain stopped on the morning we had to leave. Overall, I appreciate the professionalism of this hotel. Plenty of eateries and convenient shops in the area. Lots of flower biscuit shops too for any last minute souvenir purchases and there's also a 7-11 nearby.

Great location, walkable to Nanping road. All staffs are friendly, clean and cosy room. I am impressed that breakfast is till 1pm if you are a late / no rush sleeper on a holiday. Grill and hotpot just right under 1 min at night by the hotel too! While they didn't offer laundry etc openly, you may try asking. I asked for the foot bath after walking the whole day, they can bring it to your room and you self service. Slightly higher price than other hotels but this is very worth it! I would stay here again. The best stay I booked across 4 hotels I booked travelling Yunnan. For China, please look at guests photos and not the hotel's own photos. You may ask for their WeChat or chat on Trip.com they are very prompt with replies.

The check-in and check-out process was smooth, even though we checked in late and checked out early. The room was clean and comfortable.

Location was quite convenient with 2 mrt lines though not bustling with activity like main shopping district. Good that toilet and shower area were separate but would have been better if there were hooks etc in the shower for towel, fresh clothes. Free laundry a major plus for me!

Service was excellent. They seek to please. They generously checked us in early and provided us with complimentary breakfast: the chicken soup is a must try , especially after a long day of travelling. Needed some help to settle some courier matters . The ladies at the counter especially ms dong was more than supportive in helping. Will highly recommend

we returned from our trip to Shangri-La and claimed our bulky luggage which we deposited a week ago at the hotel. it was well taken care of. the room is cozy and two floors higher than we stayed last time. it has a better view. the staff are helpful and friendly. we were served tea when we arrived. we asked for a room power supply card and it was given to us for our convenience. the hotel is well located, it is near to the kunming railway station, Kunming metro and popular tourist attractions.

The location is good, not far from Kunming train station and South ring road subway. There are many restaurants around the hotel where the taste is good. The hotel is in the orange theme. Everything is orange like hand soap, shampoo, candy and so on. We traveled from Shangri-la and arrived at the hotel around 11 pm. The air-conditioning did not work. We called the reception to fix it. We waited around 15-20 mins and the staff came to fix it but it still did not work. We called the staff again to change the room but the staff said there was no available room at that night (so weird because the hotel is not a small hotel). By the way we waited around 15 mins and the same staff came to fix it again and it worked because at the first time the system of the room did not reset. We went to bed almost 2 am. The staff communicate only in Chinese.
