"The Zhonglian Hotel is one of the best-located hotels in Dandong, sitting right on the Yalu River with direct views of the Broken Bridge and even across to North Korea. The hotel is older and a bit dated, but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable, and the vintage décor gives an old-time atmosphere that makes the stay unique.
Breakfast is available with both Chinese and some Western choices, though the variety could be improved . Staff are polite and helpful, and the riverside location makes it easy to enjoy evening walks or explore nearby restaurants."

"Since I was traveling by electric car, I specifically chose a hotel with charging spaces. However, I was very disappointed upon arrival. First, there are very few parking spaces at the hotel entrance. If they're full, you're directed to a parking lot under a nearby overpass that doesn't have charging facilities. The charging spots at the hotel entrance are slow chargers, and if you arrive late in the evening, you definitely won't find a spot. This hotel used to partner with Wanda Plaza, where you could park and charge, but the front desk said the partnership has ended and there are no more parking vouchers. In the end, I chose to drive my car to Wanda Plaza to charge, but all four charging stations there showed offline and unusable. I still had to drive to a charging station about 1 km away. The room itself was fine, but if you're traveling by electric car, you really need to consider this hotel carefully. If I had known all this, I would never have chosen it. It's also inconvenient for self-driving tours; the area around the entrance, being near Wanda Plaza, is very congested, and illegal parking is rampant. Novice drivers need to be extremely careful. I ended up taking taxis everywhere when I went out."

"This stay far exceeded my expectations! The room was impeccably clean; the bathroom mirror was spotless with no water marks, and the towels were fluffy and odorless. The mattress offered just the right amount of support, and I couldn't hear any corridor noise at night – the soundproofing was perfect. The shower had hot water in 3 seconds with excellent water pressure, and the toiletries had a lovely scent. The most pleasant surprise was the front desk proactively recommending some hidden gem restaurants nearby, which was incredibly thoughtful. The location right next to the business district makes getting around super convenient. Highly recommend!"

"To all my friends visiting Dandong, this is definitely the place to choose! It's understated but incredibly well-appointed. Even though it's not listed as a high-star hotel online, the interior facilities and amenities are on par with, if not better than, many high-star establishments. The decor and ambiance are lovely and very welcoming. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff are incredibly warm and attentive, always happy to help with anything you need. The rooms have everything you could want, and the hardware facilities are top-notch – even a smart toilet! As for cleanliness, it's impeccable; not a speck of dust anywhere, even the corners are spotless. Overall, everything about this place is excellent. Plus, it's super convenient for dining, right outside are the Broken Bridge and Pier No. 1, and the night view of the Yalu River is fantastic, especially the colorful lights on the Broken Bridge which make for amazing photos! It's definitely worth a visit, highly recommended."

"Absolutely outstanding hotel! The staff made it one of the best short trips I have ever taken. After arriving late at night, the front desk upgraded my room and gave me a free plate of apples. The room itself was excellent, with a very modern new bathroom and a comfortable, spacious bed.
Breakfast is delicious, with a wide range of dishes available, including lots of pickled vegetables.
After checking out on the last day, I was caught in a thunderstorm, but the staff let me come back to change and dry off anyway, which was very kind of them. Overall, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at, and certainly the nicest staff!"

"This hotel is absolutely stunning with a fantastic design! It's brand new and every corner is beautiful. The location is perfect, right next to Zhonglian, which is incredibly convenient. At night, you can even see the Broken Bridge lit up. The value for money is outstanding! The breakfast area is clean, cozy, and has a great Instagrammable vibe. The owner definitely runs a top-notch establishment. I loved it!"

"It is said that the only five-star hotel in Dandong is an upgraded version of the Jiangpan Hotel next door. I stayed for two days. The hotel is very new. The smart toilet + capsule coffee on the equipment is great. I slept very well. The TV is very high-definition (but the screen cannot be projected), the bathroom is very large, and the bathtub automatically discharges hot spring water; the recliner is very comfortable, you can lie in the sun and watch North Korea opposite 🇰🇵 very comfortable ~ The river view is good. There are not many varieties of breakfast but the taste is very good, but the coffee from the self-service coffee machine in the breakfast area tastes average, and the capsule coffee in the room is still delicious. In the afternoon, large fruit yogurt was also given. The service is active and enthusiastic. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the front desk lady 021 delivered mineral water, and a small gift was also given when I left. The two Korean uncles 123 and 085 who were guarding the door were talkative and polite. They remembered our family and could sing. They were two very interesting people~"

"Top 3 best hotels we ever stayed in , the room itself was fabulous, it was very clean and futuristic there was also a lot of space for 2 people , the staff were the most friendliest people we met they helped us with bookings and the room itself they greeted you with a smile everytime u went pass by them
I would definitely recommend this hotel and this is the only place I’m booking if we ever come back to dandong

MM513478****The guesthouse owner is truly a saint! On the day we arrived, our car fell into a ditch, and the owner personally came to pick us up and helped with everything – incredibly thoughtful and considerate in every way. The breakfast was also exceptionally plentiful.

GGrahamReally enjoyed our stay at the Dandong Young hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even going so far as to refrigerate our leftovers overnight and reheating them for our lunch the following day. The hotel itself is a little quirky, with a second lift connecting the 6th floor and our room on the 7th floor. The room was very clean, modern and high-tech. The free gift on departure was a nice touch. We will definitely stay here again when we get back to Dandong.

The check-in staffs are polite and friendly. Efficient with their services. Room is clean and neat. The room even have a nice table with a proper table light for me to do my work. The main lobby also got a coffee table for coffee and water. Nice area for short meeting too. There is also a small tour desk available for you to book your local tour. Very convenient. Hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of Dandong Railway Station (High Speed Train Station). Going to see the historical broken bridge is also within walking distance of around 15-20 minutes. Very convenient. Overall, a nice and comfortable stay.

GGuest UserThe Inn is at a great location, right across the river and right beside the Yalujiang Broken bridge. I booked the room with the view to the river and you can see into North Korea from the hotel room balcony. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the balcony had patio furniture to relax there. The person who checked me in (maybe the owner) was very friendly, and happy to chat. He shared really interesting stories about south korean influencers that stayed at his hotel and their experiences trying to sneak into restaurants ran by ethnically north koreans that lived in the area. There's just a set of stairs to get to the checkin area if you have heavy suitcase. I would definitely stay here again.

XXiaocuiairuikeThe front desk lady is pretty and gentle, with a good service attitude. My child had diarrhea, and she gave me medicine for free, thank you very much. The room cleaning lady on the fifth floor of Area A was very good. The refrigerator was not hot, so she immediately brought a new good refrigerator, thank you 😊. The children were also provided with free slippers and toothbrushes. The hotel parking lot is huge, which gives self-driving tourists a super comfortable experience, without worrying about parking anxiety. The hotel is located by the Yalu River, and you can enjoy the river view for free without leaving the hotel, which is great. A very good trip to Andong.

The weather on May 1st is still strong. There are mountains and waters around. It is very pleasant. The boss said that the maple leaves in autumn are better-looking. You can consider coming again in October.
The cabin has a complete range of indoor appliances. Water heaters, smart toilets, geothermal air conditioning, hand-made coffee and tea in the stove are very pleasant. Of course, outdoor camping inevitably has some emergencies, such as small bugs, bad nets, or broken electric curtains 😂 Normal heart ～ Since you choose camping, you can feel another life!
The only uncomfortable thing is from breakfast. The breakfast is delivered by the eldest sister. It is very good. Each breakfast is heavy and full. But the two of us can't eat too much. We asked for a bowl of porridge, two steamed buns and some pickles. The eldest sister said that there are salted duck eggs. I said yes, the eldest sister asked a few and I said if I could come two. When the eldest sister was going to get it for me, a fat little brother next to her pulled his face and said no, he could give one. At that time, I was particularly defeated. Our accommodation, the electric curtains are broken, the net is broken, and there are small bugs. We all endured it because a salted duck egg depends on the face of people. Please standardize your breakfast, okay! If you can have one and a half salted duck eggs, please print them out and stick them in a clear position instead of asking us on the spot. Finally, say you can give one.
If the boss wants to do service for a long time, he has to keep up. It is fun to spend money. It is not to see other people's faces!

GGuest UserStayed here for one night. The room was excellent and so were the staff. I had to point out my visa free stamp in my passport as it’s only a recent change that New Zealanders get 15 days visa free access to China so I imagine I was the first New Zealander to stay there.
Overall the place was great and I would recommend it to everyone. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent with plenty of choice.

PpangkaAlright location but not as close to the river as the name suggests. There's no river view. Taxis had difficulty coming into the hotel lobby. The hotel is a bit old but maintained okay. The fader on the reading light didn't work. They gave us only two pillows for a Queen bed. On the plus side they have put in those great japanese style toilets with heated seats. Nice touch.

GGuest UserLocation was great 30 seconds walk to train station , pick up point right outside hotel for taxis, good view towards North Korea side and bridge from higher floors.
My room was very dated and old with musty smell and signs of age on walls and furniture.
The bedroom was no frills i.e. no tissue or tea provided in room. Sheets were clean and ok.
The bathroom has a slight smell of pee, and shower area is not separated from rest of bathroom so whole bathroom gets wet during shower. However bathroom is stocked with the usual necessities like toothbrush, soap, hairdryer, towels, toilet rolls which is good.
Overall, good value for budget travellers due to low cost. I would not stay here again next time I visit Dandong as there are other similar priced hotels 1-3 minutes further from the train station, but without the view to North Korea.

HHan2 SoloLocation of hotel very convenient, about 5 minutes walk to railway station. Convenience store is next door but cooked food you need to walk a short distance. Reception courteous and friendly but the hotel lobby is small and allows people to smoke is 🤪 as I was waiting for the elevator to my room.
I book a discounted room so everything is as discounted. Clean bedsheets but dirty carpet flooring, traces of food crumbs, nail clipping, egg shells. Toilet is clean with basic amenities but clogged drainage . Towels needs changing or replaced.
Room service only clears rubbish but do not tidy the bed or replace used towels
